I cook mine in a about a tablespoon of bacon drippings, onion, salt and lots of black pepper. I cook mine down more than this and even allow a little scorching for the best flavor! My mother and grandmother cooked them like I do. 😋
Love all kind of vegetables. Thank you Mama Sue this was really easy to cook.
Thanks for this and the info on how to pickle cucumbers on your other site. Like your husband I would prefer fried squash but I'm trying to eat healthier, thanks again!
Thats.looks.yummy❤
Love squash and onions 😋
I cook my squash the exact same way. Yum!
Beautiful squash! I absolutely love squash anyway you fix it. It’s delicious. God bless you and your family.
Thank You Mama Sue looks yummy. I'm going to try it that way!
I can remember as a little girl my daddy would till & plant a huge garden every spring & summer. Then as a family we would all get out in the garden and pick the ripen vegetables & work up the garden. My daddy always planted squash and my mama would can it, fry it, so much she did with squash & all the other vegetables. She made it just like you on menu occasions cause it was my dad's favorite way to eat it. My mom got pretty creative with how she cooked up the squash and veggies since we had so much. Lol
Thanks great 👍🏼
We cook ours down then scramble in a couple eggs and top with cheese
I love squash cooked any way .
Sometimes I cut yellow squash and particularly zucchini (with onion if you want) into a l/4" - 1/2" julienne and fry them like they do at a Japanese restaurant in a hot pan with a little oil (it would be great on one of those Blackstone griddles). They brown and caramelize--it gives the squash such a great flavor. You don't salt it until the end, so it won't get watery. A little soy sauce would be good, too.
Yum! I love squash! I cook mine very similar to how you do, except that I do add water... and it does get watery.😔 Now I know it will cook up beautifully without the water. Thank you!😊👍👍
Looks delicious!
I love squash 😊
❤❤❤❤
Very nice...looks yummy...l noticed you stired with a knife 🔪....bad luck, to stir with a knife is to stir up strife!!!....looks deeeeelish
I always peel the squash..
Why do you peel it? I've never heard of doing that to summer squash (yellow or zucchini) unless there's a brown area and then I cut that off. Oftentimes, there's more nutrition in the skin of vegetables than inside. The pretty color makes it more appetizing.
Because it is hard for me to digest the rine.
I never peel Squash or Zucchini. I DO NOT USE ONIONS! I do use a little salt and pepper. I add real unsalted butter to My Squash
What kind of squash did you use that has no centre seeds. Is it just called yellow squash?
