Liang’s victory pretty much secured his position as China men’s third player after Ma Long’s retirement. Lin Gaoyuan will be disappointed but he only got himself to blame.
He needs to take care of his feet because he is a little bit too heavy, it will damage his physical health like Fan surfers now with ages

What an intense match... nail biting all the way to the end
The problem for Harimoto against the elite Chinese players is that his game is now predictable to them. He has to play almost perfect and force the Chinese players to make some errors for him to win. He did that in the first two games, then Liang Jingkun took over with a more dominant game to win the match.
He could work on his weakness which is his backhand and varied tactical approach but now at 20 he seems more rigid as with 15.

At the end, Liang comforted the screamer. I wonder if Liang told him to scream less and concentrate more.

The screamer is getting better and better. How often do we see him use consecutive forehands to win points. However, Liang has better strokes from both forehand and backhand.

what a nail-biter! Liang didn't crumble under pressure. Harimoto is so steady, he is hard to beat unless you can attack his serve successfully

What a match! For Harimoto to beat Liang, he had get him in 3 games. Once Harimoto gives Liang some breathing space, he usually comes back since Liang is overall a stronger player between the two. In this match, Liang had a few insane forehand counters on wide forehand angle.
Notice how stressed coach Wang Hao was through out the match. It's understandable, 6 top Chinese entered the Singapore Smash, 4 already gone including top seed Fan and Goat Ma Long. If Liang had lost this match, only Wang Chuqin would have been the sole survivor. That would be a huge setback. However, whatever happened, I believe Wang will win the whole thing.
World table tennis has reached a new era where the gap between Chinese and the rest of the world is narrowing fast, which is a good thing.

@@賴志偉-d7h What´s even more absurd is, that if you got serve, and your opponent isn´t ready, you might get a yellow card because of time play... The rules clearly state "opponent needs to be ready" But often Referees are a bit dump and want to show the big boss.

@@yunguo99 in this game, you can see his BH is so terrible. lost many points. i just pick a random example, 4:26, and the point after that. there are so many such points throughout the entire game. if it was not that lucky edge ball in game 1, LJK should win in 3:1.

Harimoto skills are diminished against the speed, reflexes and athleticism of chinese players
which is strange at 20 years old but I agree. I think its mistakes that are made in his training regime. He was a better player imo as a teenager.

球員在關鍵時刻獲勝大吼一聲無可厚非，而不是每勝一球都如此，即使他有轉過身而不是朝著對手。要知道這種吼叫的方式是極為消耗體能的，讓他叫不出聲的方法就是打敗他，聽場上叫聲多寡來判斷勝負結果。

After this win, Liang has to face the former champ Tim Boll. Liang has to be careful of Boll's illegal cheateries such as serving the balls inside the table. WTT Rule#4 "The entire serve (from toss to first contact with racket) must start behind the end line and above the table surface" (Rule 2.06.04)
Liang needed worry about Boll serve he'll dispose of him without much problem
