LJK bravo! You have played your best tournament, and defeated Harimotor, Boll and LYJ in this Tournament, this is amazing! I wish you could win some important titles in the future!
Lin has clearly improved over the past year. His skills and shots are now on par with the best of the Chinese players. As this match against Liang Jinkun shows, when Lin is at his best, he can out-hit any Chinese player, both his vaunted backhand and now his forehand also. What will it take for Lin to reach the next level, to consistently beat the top Chinese players? How much more will he improve in the coming years? Time will tell.
his FH is still weak. the issue is while his FH improves, his BH degrades at the same scale. LJK used the mixed hits to stretch him out, then the mismatch of both sides is exposed.
He has been lifting weights and looks to have a bit more muscles than before.
Liang actually beat tof opponent in that tournament....he can make his own history by beating wang chuquin in the finals would be extraordinary for him
He could not even beat LJK and Timo.

@thundercock2029 It's about the serve, if you compare the last two games to first four games, you should notice Lin can't serve precisely like usual because of the judge, which also mentally made him in trouble.

This is how a tournament should be attended, the quarterfinals and beyond. Early rounds in any sport are less attended, that is to be expected. Why even hold tournaments in Doha and Abu Dhabi where no one attends any of the rounds. Only thing you see are sheiks in the background in the VIP section looking like they're discussing business and with no interest in the game. WTT it looks bad for the sport trying to get new fans and they are seeing empty arenas. Granted big bucks can be paid by the Arabs with an empty arena but they should at least have some marketing there. Maybe give free tickets to everyone, they can afford it. So the players at least can have an audience.
My thoughts too. It's fine that they want to make a business out of spectator sports but it isn't just building the hardwares and waiting for people to come. They need to put heart into it too.

Come on WTT accept this camera angle is making the sport very boring. It looks like they playing with frying pans. no spin, no show!! Instead increase number of camera angles from diagonals and from the back of player with different height.
I can imagine that Ma Long can’t deal with the speed of this match.

這場可以看出林的實力已經完全與梁同等了，
以前是正手打不穿梁反手，甚至反被突破，沒有具體得分手段
現在前四局表現完全不輸，甚至相持中能夠控制節奏，主動創造發力機會。
主要是第五局正手順旋轉發球沒了手感，甚至發失誤結果不敢用，明知道逆旋效果變差了還是只能繼續，影響到了心態。
問題大概就正手腳步再加強一點，別常偷跑側身。
我敢說這是林最後一次輸梁了。

Congrats, but... Liang JK and Wang CQ are the reason why this sport is losing its former glory, that spark that I remember. Even in the days of 2009 - 2019 the Chinese players that won did so with finesse: Ma Long, FZD, ZJK, Wang Hao and others are prime examples. This new generation of Chinese players lack the energy and creativity that epitomise the concept of beautiful table tennis. Their playing styles are dull and lifeless. The new camera angle is soulless. Boring. Table. Tennis.
If you think WCQ does not have finesse, then you really do not know table tennis.

FZD wins by force not finesse
That means NBA Basket is dull & lifeless now without the finesse of Magic Johnson, Abdu Jabbar, Michael Jordon and Yao Ming. Shall we start to have senior NBA tournaments just to watch those old senior basketball players playing with "finesse"?
