You know, I genuinely believe these leaks. They don’t sound too far-fetched, and they expand upon the OG Sonic Frontiers.
Idk. Considering there was a recent interview with izuka where he said there are "no current plans" for a Chao garden game. And that it would have to be alongside an adventure game. And "if you're wishing for a Chao garden. You're also wishing for adventure 3" then I seriously doubt the validity of any leaks regarding Chao at this time.

EDIT: Also I swear Shadow Gens gameplay is like the equivalent of background commentary channel gameplay it's so good.

Assuming these leaks are to be believed, I'm getting massive TotK vibes from this game:
-Light sequel;
-Set on floating islands in the sky;
-Underground areas to explore;
-Story works like an alternative take on the first game' story;
-The new species and their technology becomes more important than the previous new species.
The first game copied Breath of the Wild, now the sequel has to copy its sequel
I hope they lean into it more this time because they had some great ideas they cut from the first game. Like instead of sonic loosing his memory from the start, the cyber corruption would have split his mind and cause his memories to fade as the game goes on. Which make sense as to why cyberspace looked fractured and would sell the effects the corruption had on him.
Makes sense. Business is just about copying your competitors with a different product.

i know these are just rumors but sometimes when a leak happens and a few years later this leak doesn't happen, that could meant that these leaks are real NOW but can be changed or even removed/cancelled in the future. A good example is that between 2021-2022 there were leaks about a modern sonic 2d game that was later scrapped and became Superstars
Knowing Sega and their love for reusing assets this sounds very realistic.
Looking at the leaks they all repeat.
i. 1 massive floating Island.
ii. Digitised master emerald.
iii. Village raids
iv. Unchanged Combat
v. Very Early in development (obvious).
Unleashed is right, it's either a clever plot by a bunch of alt accounts to fool the Sonic community or these things are actually real.
Only time will tell but this doesn't sound half bad.
I'm all for it if the other characters are also playable like they were in Frontiers 1
i think its neither and actually one guy made a leak (most likely fake) and other two guys copied parts of that leak to make theirs seem more credible, that third leak is straight up bullshit and i would be really surprised if its true

Also side note, I’m hoping wall running springs and dash pads and ramps all are blended in and don’t appear cause they look so ugly in the environment. maybe put arrows on walls or natural ramps to tell us that they are the same gameplay wise but I don’t wanna see springs and treadmills or green and black walls.
As a side note some of these could work if they make them in theme for the environment, flower springs vine rails etc.

I got some leaked information guys; An unannounced Call of Duty is currently in development and will release next year! It will revolve around multiple factions shooting at each other. Expect a teaser the first half of next year! Spread the word!

The way the boost sounds like is like Sonic Unleashed, where collecting rings charges your boost meter.
If sage leaves eggman that means he must have did something pretty horrendous in order for her to question their alliance. Again it's a leak as you said. But its a little weird since the maina shorts and frontires gave him more humanity. Since he took metal back durring the Christmas special and was honestly pretty choked up when she died in the orginal ending. Which in retrospect kind if makes me wish they kept her dead to sell the emotion since everyone took away the wrong message with her voice comming from the monitor when she more then likely won't have a physical form anymore.
Knowing Sega and their love for reusing assets this sounds very realistic.

First leak is definitely fake. Izuka said in an interview that they have no plans do a chao game whatsoever. They’re only bringing back the chao Garden for a potential Adventure 3. Which again they aren’t currently working on.
I am glad switch 2 will be it and not normal switch, i like my switch but we have to agree frontiers woulve looked so much better if swicth didnt hold it back
Regardless of the veracity, Frontiers 2 has the potential to be peak. They cannot mess up with this one like with Frontiers/Shadow Gens.
Sonic Frontiers 2 really does have the potential to be a very good Sonic game and even a great game overall, but why did you immediately write off Shadow Generations? For Frontiers, I get it. Like the saying goes "Another man's trash is another man's treasure", however it can go the other way: "Another man's treasure is another man's trash". But Shadow Generations hasn't even released yet. We can't judge a game before we see the full picture. We can't say it's good and we can't say it's bad at this point.

@@user35678_tt don't get me wrong. The game looks OK, but I can guarantee you it won't appeal every fan. After the frontiers reception, I have 0 hopes on the fanbase to like something that most of us agree. I was speaking from the majority of the fanbase perspective.
After i heard (doubled in size) and (polish and quality are their priority) i know fr this is a new sega fr, frontiers 2 might be my favorite game, right after shadow gens, no seriously they locked in with everything imagine showing this to fans back then after what was forces…. Boi the glow up sonic games had from 2010s to 2020s is insane

Nah all of this sounds super fake. Especially the last one where the "leaker" already seems to know everything about how the story begins and ends even thought everything is so early in development. Also Sage leaving Eggman's side? I cannot see that happening at all.

Even though I think they probably would continue the frontiers open zone formula and try to flesh it out and improve it ,we have to remember sonic lost world existence,right after generations,sonic team are just masters of being unexpected whether for the better or the worse

Cyloop is indeed pretty good tho it should be upgraded to the player being able to draw more to gain things, maybe drawing a heart shape gives you rings for health or smth

That's the thing people need to understand. Yes, REAL LEAKS do happen on 4chan. However, the GRAND MAJORITY of leaks on "4chan" are ABSOLUTE BS!
That's because 4chan has absolute anonymity. That's the advantage for leaks on 4chan; you can have real leaks on there, and they happen there more than anywhere else. However, for every legitimate leak there's dozens of fake ones.
The reason this one is fake is 99% because of the ridiculous complete 180 the leak pulls with Sage, though. There's no way Sage is just suddenly abandoning Eggman after this game. It makes no freaking sense. People are like "lol but Sage is a good character so she can't side with Eggman!"
People clearly don't understand Sage at all, then. Sage spends the entire game doing everything she can to protect Eggman, and ONLY agrees and convinces Eggman to team up with Sonic at the end because she believes its the only way to save him. That is why she allied with Sonic.
"Sage doesn't know Eggman is evil!"
Um, yes, she does. She literally tells Eggman that she dug through all of his past encounters with Sonic and points out the scenarios where Eggman temporarily allied with Sonic. She knows exactly what he's like.
Sage was never going to be a heroic character going forward. She's an antagonist in this game who temporarily allies with Sonic at the end, and the clear intent is she's going to be a top enforcer of Eggman's in the future as well.
17:22 i can see this happening since it was kinda being built in frontiers with her learning about good and stuff , tho the fact the ending got spoiled in this leak sure hurts, tho it rlly isnt that big of a spoiler as many other things could happen and hit harder in the actual game
17:04 i kinda don't want tails to be in this game since he, amy and knuckles all went off to do their own things. Sonic teaming up with shadow would make more sense both storywise and to give fans their opportunity to play as shadow, especially if the doom powers are a mainstay

This may be a leap, but I assume the Meso people will be sorta inspired by Mesopotamia? Not only were the Meso people conquered and removed from their homeland by the Ancients, but that also happened to Mesopotamia. They were conquered for their land and riches.
Seems the Ancients and Echidnas had a knack for taking things that wasn’t theirs. History repeats itself.
So I have some thoughts on this if it’s actually real:
-The fact that we may be getting one massive open world island is exiting, I hope we get unique environments with fun platforming gimmicks as well as proper momentum based 3d gameplay. so far the environments are already more diverse than frontiers (jungle, castle kingdom, and a sky area) so thats good
-The raids in villages seem cool, but i hope we see some human or mobian NPCs. I know its an ancient island like frontiers, but maybe some G.U.N soldiers or explorers on the island would be cool. I hope we get playable characters besides sonic, like tails, knuckles, amy, shadow, maybe even silver or blaze. A new playable character would be cool too
-I hope the cutscenes and graphics in the game are at least visually appealing and animated well, not expecting rift apart level of graphics but at least the graphics and polish of SXSG in the open zones would be great.
-Cyberspace seems to return, but i hope its not reused levels again, I hope the levels are integrated within the environment
-story seems cool and more lore is nice, hoping the characterization is good and the tone is like the adventure games, not super moody like frontiers, but not corny shit like colors. A good in between is what I want

Theory: this game will be so GOATED that will NOT only be considered the best sonic game ever made for many people but it will make everyone change their thoughts on frontiers and think that game is horrible

Really well I mean it has been two years since the game has come out, but didn’t think there will be rumors this soon and if these are true. I hope they learn the mistakes from last and improve upon those flaws within this one
I would assume the development for the next frontiers game would take slightly less time because they don’t have to reinvent Sonic gameplay all over again.
We are so back, that it’s not that funny anymore.

Green hill paradise was my favourite fan game when I was little. It’s would be awesome if the boost was actually like the one in Green Hill Paradise
I'm fine with this game (assuming this leak is real, nothing is too farfetched so only time will tell) expanding upon the lore from frontiers so long as they don't hyper focus on it like they did with the first game. So many of the cutscenes in frontiers are dedicated to explaining the smallest things about the island, and while thats cool, I think that stuff should be way more supplementary. Maybe something similar to the Eggman memos can return and the lore can be there. Sonic games always thrived off of their characters and how they interact, but in frontiers a lot of the time, characters seemed more interested in the island than they did themselves.
5:24 i think the philosophy their going with is more slopes and each level is unique
This movement phylosophy is PEAK
it has the boost which is very easy to learn and use but it is NOT that fast
and it has momentum which takes more skill and mastery but gets way more speed
I was hoping for something more extended cast driven with lore being the motivator honestly, not another exploration of past species and people fumbling with power. Basically wanted something like 06 again, the cast, their dynamics and their personalized arcs take center stage while something much grander and sinister is cooking in the background, with heavy lore to back it up
4:45 cyber space should return like normal stages with physics like shadow gens and level design like shadow gens, and good environments based on each area of the “islands” or area in sonics world, it should work the way sonic adventure and unleashed and 06 have it where the hub world you can go to levels except instead of hub world we have huge and hopefully open … zone on steroids(so bigger) and cyber space better have more life, like instead of it literally being cyberspace 2.0 it can be like different stages in different places like unleashed or adventure

I'm fine with them going for a different art style, but PLEASE for the love of god DON'T make it too cartoony like lost world. That would suck. Something akin to 06/unleashed would be the way to go in my opinion. But then again, this is sonic team we're talking about. Whenever they take feedback, you can bet your bottom dollar that they're going to take it as far as one can, Like when people complained that frontiers' open zone challengs/cyberspace stages were too easy. And we all know how that went. I'm praying that they don't give us another lost world (Decent game, shitty art style), but who knows.

@@user35678_tt idk, the chao garden was legit a addon for mainline game. that's what they should bring back. but in an interview recent, someone on the team straight up said they aren't working on it because they don't think it's possible to do it without doing adventure 3 and they aren't going to do that right now. but time will tell. i think we need to keep begging for a chao garden reintroduction regardless so a little copium won't hurt ya.
I sincerely dislike how the word “momentum” is used. Momentum does not just mean “Sonic gains speed down hills!” There’s a lot more to it than just slope physics. Shadow Gens, while still a boost game, does look to have some actual decent momentum in some of his abilities. Moves carry your current speed into them, you now have sections where you need to ramp off of objects using your own speed rather than dash ramps and panels, etc. Yeah it’s still more boost game than Classic game obviously, but it has more momentum than any 3D Sonic game since Sonic Gens (which yes does have momentum).
The thing with sage leaving eggman would rly make sence, since in the beginning of the final horizon sage said "the world is his to conquer". So the knows about the evil and might be evil or to loyal to her vater
If these leaks are true, I hope they add drift and let us do it at any moment in the open zone or open world. That would make the gameplay interesting and engaging.
yeah the sage leaving eggmans side is a dead give away that the leak is fake. There is absolutely no reason for them to take that route after establishing their father daughter relationship both in and out the game through promotional art and such. Plus, Sage outright tells Sonic that the world is Eggman's to conquer so for her to then turn around and leave his side for being "too evil" is a little too fanfiction-y cause when you think about it, if this game is still in pre alpha stages, how does this person already know how the plot with Eggman and Sage end? Like the leaker is making it sound that this happens during the end or at the end. Cut scenes, script, or even voice work for that scene wouldn't be done by this point, or even have work started on it. *MAYBE* some version of the script was seen, *MAYBE* there was a cutscene with sage leaving eggman, but if this game is looking at a 2026 release or 2027, theres just no way for this leak to be legitimate.
I think what they meant by design philosophy for TFH Cyber Space stages is that the levels had a more chaotic design structure and had more alternate pathways, along with having the gimmicks like Low Gravity and the Rev Boost
When he said chao game i just can’t trust a single word anymore izuka himself said that they will never release a separate chao game the only condition they will do that if it was a game mode in a new adventure game but they aren’t releasing a separate game atleast not now
I could see Sage turing on Eggman, Sage became a lot softer after her interactions with Sonic, and she has yet to see Eggman's darker side. So she may be forced to choose between her family and what she thinks is right.
I'm calling BS on the plot. The ancients wiped themselves out. It was explained in Sonic Adventure.
There is literally 0 chance these leaks are real. It hasn’t even been a year since Final Horizons was released, and even if they had that full year worth of work, they’d have NO time to put together all the assets that would be needed in this, let alone having full on platforming sections finished.
This sounds like a wishlist of things they want in the game
Also, the director for Unleashed left Sega more than a decade ago, he works at Square Enix now.
Also, how would this guy who saw 12 minutes of a game that’s only had a year of dev have somehow seen several entire intro story cutscenes?
This guy has an entire rundown of a story, with voice acting and animation, for a game that apparently has a decent amount of original assets this early? Again, this just sounds like some random fan’s idea for a “cool sonic story”
It really pisses me off when people are like "OMG here's new leaks for X!"

If you're going to report on leaks, report on leaks that have ACTUAL SUBSTANCE. For example, a previous leak that had some details come true makes it worthwhile to check it out. Or a leak that has actual screenshots or footage. Even those are easy to fake, but it depends on the quality.

the part that makes these leaks seem fake to me is they are only expanding the frontiers lore instead of making a fully new closed story, none of the mainline sonic games has done that before, except for some specific plot points, and its even weirder for them to make that in what would be the largest scale mainline 3d sonic game ever

Ah yes! It's that time again! I've been waiting for this leak cycle to start up. Is it weird to say that I'm starting to feel nostalgic for that Sonic Rift leak? Anyway, I really hope we get NPCs of varying types like in Unleashed and o6. And I would hope that switching between characters that affect the way you play would be cool. Maybe even online racing
The first leak says "Chao game", so fake.
The second one is very similar to the first one, so automatically fake
The third one mentions these "meso" people wiping out the ancients, which directly contradicts the fact that it was The End that nearly and completely wiped them out (unless that planned team of ancients managed to reach Angel Island and then de-evolve into the Chao), so that one is the fakest out of the three.

Makes sense, ancients feels like echidnas mirror. So having a war with other guys in a later game makes sense

Ok but what's the point of Frontiers 2 if we've already been to the Starfall Islands and we're basically done with them. How are they gonna have Cyberspace stages if Cyberspace was only a thing because it was a huge backup drive for the Ancients' memories. This makes no sense at all lore-wise.
Yeah, my opinion is we're not getting Frontiers 2. We'll get a follow-up to Frontiers that follows a similar format to Frontiers, but isn't "Frontiers 2" at all.
There is _some_ lore left open for Frontiers, such as a hypothetical other entity out there in the universe beyond just The End, as well as the origins of the Master Emerald. These things can still be discovered later on. But there's no need to have them in a "Frontiers 2", in fact, its probably better to do a completely different setting next time and just follow a similar gameplay style and structure.

Frontiers had so many things going for its story. But the writing was subpar, leading the game to only be a success thanks to the films.
About the momentum on frontiers 2 I think they inspiring to spark the electric jester 3 for the increase momentum speed with a charge like a boos from sonoc but obviously adapted for spark moveset and I think they made frontiers 2 by that philosophy om momentum level desing but even big because it's and hypothetical a normal open word
And if I remembered kishimoto can play spark 3 while they desing TFH and took some notes to make a game like that

The first leak is like, shit load of known public information, a few small guesses not really creditable, the second a lil more credible with name drops and what not not the Thrid one? Brother if they bearly have the game scenery done how does my dude know the entire plot, the game has probably zero to no cinematics on it yet
the second leak just said some random BS mixed with safe guesses and called it a leak, the first leak got some stuff from the second leak to make it more credible and said even safer guesses, the third leak copied the second leak and added even more bullshit to it, how the hell would the guy know the lore and the ending of the game? 💀not even the late frontiers leaks had as much lore info as this guy has of frontiers 2
@@MilkEnjoyer2 exacly, the only reason i felt like the second was a lil more credible is because its similar to the rangers leak, wich was a bit more drescriptive of what was in it, but reality is if they bearly build the maps of the game, there no chance they are doing play testings, with frontiers the rangers leak had descriptions of the islands and how things possibly worked(they had most mechanics ready and where only tweaking the maps as the play test went), but i was vague because the guy to tried to explain was not a sonic fan just a random play tester

I honestly miss humans in Sonic games.
Because i find the idea of having only anthropomorphic animals (i refuse to call them Mobians) makes the game way too "safe" (iykwim).
In the perfect world, i'd go with both human and animal NPCs.

sage as a character is hard to write in future games because she is a good person in the bad guys side
usually those characters die like the first ending of frontiers, joins hero team or the bad side aren't that bad to leave
eggman is evil enought like he conquered the world for 6-7 months and i don't see sage in sonic team
probably she is going to abandon eggman but more in good terms than it sounds
and she will be in the list of characters that appear once in a while only to remember that exist like
team chaotix, silver, blaze, zavock, cream etc.

Sage is Eggman's creation and her entire role the entire game was protecting Eggman. As an AI who gained sentience she would be fully aware of EVERYTHING he did in the past. It makes NO SENSE for her to leave him because suddenly she "discovers he is evil." She ALREADY KNOWS THIS!
The more likely explanation is the leak is utter hogwash.
Sage knows that eggman is evil, she has no desire for changing, he wants to protect eggman and if his desires are for evil then she will follow suit

A few related details I'm aware of. SEGA expects Sonic Frontiers to do extremely well both financially and critically. They are well aware that Sonic Forces sucked, but consider it a success because it sold well. They knew the game was going to be bad as it was just quickly put together to recover from the losses of Sonic Boom with no intentions of the game actually being good, and it worked. SEGA expect Frontiers to be the best selling and highest rated Sonic game in a long time, and become an evergreen title. Paramount is currently in talks with SEGA to approve the development of a tie in game for the third movie. SEGA however is reluctant to agree to the deal because they believe it will interfere with their Adventure remakes project as the third movie will have a very similar story line to SA2. Expect the Adventure remakes to be pushed back if Paramount somehow convinces SEGA to go through with it.

I think that 5 year plan leak was real because they successfully predicted so many things but I think that Sega have shifted away from doing an Adventure remake and more towards a Heroes remake to tie in with Movie 4.
That also means they won't do an SA3.
These all seem like fairly basic guesses based on the info we have now, not too much here that sounds far fetched, I wouldn’t be surprised if this is close to what frontiers 2 (or whatever the next game’ll be called) will be like, but I’m also not convinced that this guy has an ‘insider friend’ or anything

We are already getting entire gameplay videos of the new JSR and Crazy Taxi games and they don’t come out until 2026-2027 respectively.

U know what, I don’t know if Sonic Team might make Tails, Knuxs, and Amy playable mostly cuz of the ending where Tails, Knuxs, n Amy are gonna go off on their own adventure. Maybe Sonic might have other characters be playable or Sonic Team just focus on improving Sonic’s gameplay only while make dlc for Tails, Knuxs, and Amy later probably

those leaks seem pretty fishy to me, the game seems to have a way smaller scope than what the frontiers 2 ideally would need to be, the second "leak" seems to be the original one and the other 2 leaks were just built upon it

5:05 I actually disagree with you. I see them as having many similarities to some aspects of Sonic CD's level design (and maybe Sonic Lost World) in that each level has some kind of unique pattern or gimmick that's only seen once or twice. I loved Sonic CD, and I loved the Cyberspace levels.
