- The world-class climbing destination El Potrero Chico continues to awe us. Today, we head to the Hidalgo market where Moritz goes missing. Next, we take you up a classic multi-pitch sport route called Excalibur.
We hope you enjoy this one!

Our truck is a 2009 GMC Savana G3500 cut-away with a 12 ft box. We converted it into our tiny home on wheels and moved in May 2021 to travel North America for rock climbing, hiking, and outdoor adventures.

Apparently this is a contentious topic. Do you like papaya?
P.S. Lots going on around the world. We just wanted to say that if you are feeling sad, worry, fear-that you are not alone. We've been lighting candles, saying prayers, and breathing in silence throughout this weekend. Know that what is happening in the world is not within your control and that your simple act of silence is enough. 🙏
Prayers for the people of the Ukraine 🇺🇦
You two are so cute!! And Canadian!! What a bonus!! ❤ your videos and enthusiasm you both share… thx for sharing with every 🌻😊🇨🇦
Exquisite! It's not easy to convey on camera moments to the viewer that feel like being there too. Some breathtaking sights, but also the market and prep and explanation. Thanks for sharing your journeys👏👊
Holy smokes, that is like climbing / outdoorsy heaven. That market has me so hungry seeing all the fresh and delicious produce and food. I don't think we will ever be able to talk you into coming back home :P Enjoy Mexico what a beautiful part of the world to enjoy with the friendly locals.
Also, just wanted to say how right you are to keep some of your travels for yourselves. The extra stress and performance of video isn't always needed you are both doing this for yourselves first. I even struggle with it with just photographing a trip rather than just living the experience. Excellent decision on your parts.
Thanks so much for your encouraging words!
🐾👣✌️🙏🖖. The willows 🌷 are starting to sprout spring is in the air babies
Can't wait for it to get warmer up north!
one of my favourite episodes! enjoy your time there, and tank your for sharing some!
Thank you, we'll make sure to share some more!
Simple, yet outstanding. Love the twin rope. Thank you both for your good work
It's the European in Moritz😂 but also makes the rappelling so much faster when we can do full lengths.
Aw man looks dope. In a couple of days my partner is starting the AT - work's keeping me at home but I'm gonna hike the first week with her. It isn't exactly mexico, but even northern georgia will be a nice break from the brutal winter we've had in montreal
Wow this is so cool!
That looked like an awesome experience! The climbing, the market, the food, just looked like a lot of fun!
I enjoy all of your videos. I appreciated that you guys take the time to film and edit. This is a wonderful channel! Thank you!
Fantastic upload, some shots are just epic. Masterful editing skills.
Thank you!
I just subscribed, it's nice to see a couple with an open mind about Mexico, the world would be a better place if everyone thought like you guys. The fruit with chamoy sauce sure looked delicious. Take care and I'll be following your adventures.
Subscribed! Great video guys! Thanks for sharing with us... Saludos desde Monterrey 😉
Thanks for the sub!
Those tacos looked so good. Your two new fur friends just hoping for a treat. 😂. The climb was awesome. I’m only climbing in the gym right now. Hoping I get get on real rock soon.
Whenever you show the way down, I get a rush of adrenaline fear. Wow. You both look so much happier compared to being up North in the cold. I remember all the van break downs and horribleness in the past. Enjoy!
To be honest, the adrenaline from looking down never quite goes away! The sunshine has been helping so much with the happiness. We hope you are feeling good wherever you are too.
A grand adventure.
A good job of story telling and keeping the adventure interesting.
Editing 👍
You guys have to find a place that makes Mexican street chips. It looks so interesting. Glad you guys are having a blast. Mexico looks amazing.
I was getting so hungry. Always bring extra food and water even on a short hike. Looks like an awesome climb 😎
That was a cool climb. I'd rather watch you 2 do it 'cuz I'm a little too old to be climbing and looking down!! The market was nice too Lotsa nice fresh food. Your adventure in Mexico seems to be off to a good start. How long are you going to stay south of the border?? Enjoy your stay down there!!
Glad we could share the experience then ☺️. We will be south for another month at least!
Are pug dogs welcome in Hidalgo?
Likely! No reason that they wouldn't. There are some strays though but they are friendly!
Hey what ya doing now?
Back to house life (but still taking the van out ever so often). We both work computer jobs so we found it hard to spend even more time on the computer editing videos in our spare time.
@RoadtoPitches ok well y'all have a happy 4th. When you all keep back through ky. Give me a shout
Happy 4th to you too!
I love palm trees but those spanish sword plants will ruin your day. Must be some good melon to elicit spontaneous swearing .
It's actually more a root. We had to look it up though.
