@@NoahKane You just need to adopt a "more views mindset" Seriously though, if you have this platform use it responsibly. Choosing to take risky climbs is your own decision, but encouraging others to do so is irresponsible. A lot of the people hearing you talk about taking risks to push themselves may not have the well tuned sense of their personal limits that you do and are likely to take things too far.
@@crowonthepowerlines From what I've seen of @Noah Kane 's videos, he demonstrates very solid and reliable climbing technique. He is honest and upfront about his mistakes like when there was confusion between which climber was calling "Off Belay" in this video. It's is a great way for others to learn to avoid such mistakes themselves. I see a lot of sketchy climbing advice on UA-cam, but Noah's videos certainly do not fall into that category. Climbing is risky, to be sure, but making it some sort of dark art by not publishing quality content only leaves people to struggle to find information on how to make it more safe.
@Send Edition same! I forgot just how much I love climbing outdoors until I watched this. It was so well done and it made me happy to think about climbing outside again
The morning of the climb is making me emotional. The excitement and uncertainty must be crazy. And the gratitude afterward, so rewarding. Keep doing ya thang
The "off belay" confusion is why I try to use names for belay commands. My name is common and sounds like some other names (through the wind, it's surprising how "David" can sound like "Nathan" or "Jason"), so in hearing-impaired situations I'll agree on a more unique pseudonym with my belayer. "Off belay, Rumplestiltskin" is pretty clear.
Enjoyed the storytelling, filming and editing so much, Noah! Beautifully done. Have even more motivation and inspiration within me to go back climbing on the rocks 🙌🏾
Love this breathtaking views, place, atmosphere you creating, video and audio sequence. I think every of your subs and future subs will glad to feel little part of it, thx for that, it was joyful watching this video
This was such a delight to watch! Your ability to tell stories and craft narratives is so underrated. I hope you'll keep sharing your experiences with us!
This is a fantastic video, I am not sure how you do it but you manage to capture the vibe of being in an awesome place with your friends, you are able to convey the same atmosphere that I feel when I climb with my friends, it makes me so grateful to share the climbing community with such great people. Thanks for the epic video and congrats on a mega achievement!
This is my favorite climbing movie now. I am from Monterrey and have been climbing La Huasteca and El Salto mainly, but you guys have hyped me so much for EPC. TWZ is a serious lifetime accomplishment I am now interested in. Thanks Noah and team. Loved how you suffered with the elote, that sauce is hot af.
This was really nice to watch it was pure, people enjoying each other's company and doing what they love to do together. Seeing a video as this that is not a big production but just normal people doing their thing made it special as I felt part of the journey. Thank you for this experience and beautiful views.
Beautifully done! It's really awesome to see a film like this as a climbing aficionado from Mexico. I've still to go to Potrero but looking forward to it even more after watching this. Congrats Noah!
Great movie man! I met your bro and Mel in SC this year. Really good folks. I heard about you whilst climbing together for the first time. He's proud of you and for a good reason. Cheers to your vision and safe climbing!!
i just found your channel from a short and wow, you’re so underrated!! the quality of the editing and storytelling was soo good and made 30 minutes feel like 10 👏🏼 keep going dude! :)
Guys; the looks on your faces the good, the bad, and everything in between, are the reasons any of us go climbing. The bond you develop with your climbing friends is super strong whether you love or hate them at any minute. Amazing footage. Congratulations to you both and to your friends.
This was sick, more of this! Its what we all strive for, these kind of experiences, wether it be climbing, skiing, biking, hiking..... FCK I LOVE THE OUTDOORS MAN! GGs!
Amazing story my friend! I also live in colorado and am a climber. My best friend of more than 10 years and OG climbing partner died Ice climbing this year. It was really nice to see you and your buddy making memories together. I know my late friend would want me to get out on some wicked adventures like this as well. Thanks for sharing friend. Take care and maybe I’ll see you at a crag in CO!
I’m really sorry to hear What happened to your friend. I’m an ice climber as well and was wondering if there was an specific cause for his death while climbing. Did anything cut the rope in a fall or an avalanche hit him on an alpine route? Curious as it may make rethink some things for climbing.
Congratulations on the effort, but also wantef to congratulate and appreciate the filming. The filming felt natural and stunning. This needs more views. Kudos
You absolutely crushed it! It was awesome to see one of my favorite crags in the world again. I even recognized the bartenders at La Azucena. Thanks for the great video.
Such awesome climbing, thanks for sharing! As a suggestion, radios can be really helpful for communicating during multi-pitch. I recently got a pair and they have made things so much safer for my climbs. Definitely have a rope tug setup practiced with your partner as backup, though.
Love it! Such a dope adventure and you guys are soo easy and fun to watch, thanks also for showing the bailing and other stuf going "wrong" when multipitching, very relatable ;).
Hey Noah, awesome storytelling. You made a film full of emotion and brought us along for the journey. Roo I could see your attention to detail with the cinematography and particularly appreciated the lighting, especially during the walk into the park in the dark conditions with the background lighting.
Wow! I’m not even knowledgeable when it comes to rock climbing but I finished the whole video and didn’t realize 33 mins has just passed. Great video. I enjoy your content and congrats to the both of you!
I started bouldering only 6 months ago, but this was such an inspiration! Amazing story: there were so many moments in which I thought: 'damn I want to feel this for myself. Maybe I get to climb this route one day.. Cheers
Wow! Nice job! Some long and hard stuff to climb. I've gotten into outdoor climbing in the past year and limestone is my favorite! Please make more videos like this! They are awesome
Come here in the French alps and do the Rebuffat at Aiguille du Midi ! This mountain is IMO one the most beautiful climbing spot of the world ! This and the Aiguille Verte, Grandes Jorasses and Les Drus !
nice video, took me back to my run on it a couple of years ago. I'm wondering why you didn't seem to link pitches? could have cut the ascent time down quite a bit. I think we topped out somewhere around 9 hours after linking every 2 pitches almost the whole way up. No shame in French freeing that crux pitch either, especially after 20 some pitches, mostly in the sun! Also, why didn't you do the last easy scramble on the fixed rope to the true summit? I thought it was well worth the little bit of sketch and effort. Not to mention there's enough room to comfortably come off rope, take off your shoes, and relax before the long raps down.
Congratulations on such a cool ascent! I can only dream of doing something that cool, in a place that impressive :) Keep up the excellent climbing, great content, and continue to inspire the next generation of climbers (including me haha)
god damn it that was so cool to watch! Nice storytelling, nice story, nice route! You can be proud of yourself guys! Wanna go out there right now and climb again, but damn why is it winter here in the alps...
This literally felt like a movie, everything… especially the climbing was super dope
