“Who’s side is he really on?” The answer is Shigure. He will always put himself first because he’s selfish and greedy, he admits as much to Hatori. But the flip side is that if he feels like your absence would hurt him he’ll fight tooth and nail for you.
I actually disagree. I haven't watched the new adaptation but in the manga though he does have a different side to him he's kind of selfless in a selfish sort of way? This is just my opinion and i'm not trying to spoil!!! However, Shigure is not putting himself first, he's trying to teach someone else something and is in some warped way putting them first. But I do agree that he will fight tooth and nail for that goal/ person. Shigure is an amazing character with so much depth and even though his story was very much hidden between the lines it's so sad, but sweet! He's not a character that would destroy other peoples lives to get what he wants though. He uses them sure, but it's partly for their benefit and his own. That's just my opinion tho.
@@Moonlightchant I remember him being pretty silly in the beginning though, and then as you read more it became more apparent that he was hiding things. In fact, the tone of the manga starting out changed overtime iirc.
No, he's True Neutral. Chaotic, would imply he doesn't put thought into it and randomly decides on a whim...he's obviously playing the worlds longest game.
Really? then I should probably just watch S2 after all the episodes are out.... i can't take it if i have to wait every week for an episode just to cry or to feel angry...
@@OdyLoveMusic I'm actually hoping they bring the same intensity of emotions in the manga to this production. But with the cast from manga about to appear in season 2, it looks pretty promising. Also, they are fleshing out the characters better than in the 2000s version, so things will start to make more sense.
Oh ho ho, as someone who's read the manga, it's so entertaining to watch people trying to scramble for answers. It truly is a mysterious and twisting journey. Seeing other people experience it for the first time is bringing back all the feelings I had when I first read it. I'm sure you'll be as captivated as I was!
@@rosequartzzzzzz Oh same. No matter how many times I see/read it I will never be emotionally prepared enough NOT to cry. This story will bust my heart open every time.
I remember I tried watching the 2019 anime, but I just couldn’t without finishing the manga. So the next day I sped through that story like my life depended on it. It was worth it.
The reason why this version of Fruits Basket is so much more complicated and mysterious and leaves us questioning and earning for answers is because this version is totally based on the manga. Fruits Basket is so much more than what is seems from outside and it teaches us so many things. I am waiting for 2nd season to come out soon!!
Also because the production team knows where the story ends. The big *story* difference between the new and old is because the old production team didn’t know the truth. At the time of the original the manga artist had broken her arm, hadn’t drawn anything past the visit to Ayame’s shop and didn’t know when she’d be able to draw again.
That feeling when you are a manga reader but you only have the first half, lol. Shigure was definitely my favorite in the 2001 version, but when I read the manga/saw the remake... I fell the hell in love. That's my man, flipping the series on its head! I'm really happy that you talked about it and that you're excited about Shigure's new layers. And you also made really good points about Akito, too. The original really left too many mysteries with him in my opinion. Mysterious is good, but a character needs roots and reasons to be how they are. Anyways. Big fan. Of your channel and Shigure. Loyal viewer, signing off.
Shigure in the original just had me confused. He was really silly, but the worst part was at the end when he broke down crying in front of Tohru and it made no sense, then when she comes back with Kyo, he starts laughing hysterically. Its like he went mad or something.
@@drakenfist I enjoyed all of his gags and stuff so much. Also, I really love dogs. But also? I don't remember exactly how old I was when I saw it, ha. But... New Shigure? Brilliant. Love. Him.
I'm glad you enjoyed it!! I remember you actually asking about this video and I was thinking you would enjoy it haha. But I AM SO EXCITED TO FINALLY LEARN MORE ABOUT THIS GUY AHHHHH. Season 2 just a few weeks away!!
As a note, Akito's gender is a secret for a reason. Keep an open mind to what their gender might be! It might be a different reveal. Akito's a terrible person, but they're not a monster. There's reasons as to why Akito is the way they are, same with everyone else in the cast. Each of them have suffered trauma and abuse in different ways. This is very much more apparent in the TMS/8PAN version than the Studio DEEN version. Each of them contend with the pain of tragedy, mistreatment and abuse in very different ways-and our lovely Tohru's positive and gentle nature, as well as not being a part of the tragedies of that family provides the compassion and understanding that family needs. Part of why the 2001 anime veered off track is that it passed up where the manga was at the time, which only finished in 2012. The TMS/8PAN version has a full, finished story to work with and draw from where the DEEN version did not. As for being an anime-only person... I think Shigure knows exactly what Akito's deal is and wants to set Akito free from a self-imposed prison of trauma and pushing everyone away. Akito's clearly not mentally stable and doesn't understand how to empathize with the plights of others at this point in time.
Laraine Thorpe It’s wild to me that people haven’t seen the manga. This is maybe the only manga I ever read all the way through and also own. I saw some of the 2001 anime but I don’t think I ever saw all the episodes, it was so different lol
I grew up with the manga (disliked the first anime), and am loving the remake! But the best part is seeing my husband's reactions to the mystery and surprises as the story progresses! (and the soft parts get him in the heart, too!)
For Hatori I think it can be explained by the fact his animal doesn't have fur. As for Shigure, his hair has always been a mystery to me (especially when I tried to draw him) x)... But I guess it's quite close to the fur color of the Dog. A very dark gray
@@IsuzusanH6 yes but ayame doesn't have fur either and his hair are white. Either it's a sign of (spoiler) The curse weakening Or it's just that the dragon was dark

You: I'm fascinated about the Shigure and akito relationship Me, manga reader: ahahha ahahahha AHHAAHA YES. Yes. (I am very fascinated by them too, believe me. :'))
Same. I was like, TF? Like really? Gure is probably the most twisted and screwed character in the whole series. And unlike everyone else, he doesn't change at ALL.
Hey you, yeah you! Thank you for taking the time to comment on this video. You guys really are an amazing community and I am thankful for you all. Have a good one ^^. Also subscribe please :0
Yes and yet ironically his actions do benefit others in the long run. He takes Yuki in and gets him out of that house and away from his abuse when no one else would. He gives Kyo advice on how to deal with his anger which tremendously helps Kyo in forming relationships with the others including Tohru. He facilities Tohru’s meeting with Kureno and gives her plenty of clues about the curse. He calls out Akito every time they interact on how bad her behavior is, although just like everyone else he can’t do much to stop it, Akito is still his God after all. He’s also the first and for a long time, only character to question Akito on whether locking Kyo up is the right thing to do. Remember all of the Sohma’s just accept his eventual imprisonment as inevitable for most of the story (which makes Kyo’s anger and inability to get along with the others a lot more understandable).
I find it funny how people who've only seen the anime consider him 'altered'. He starts out as a sleazy idiot in the manga, too (though I love him; I love all the characters), and watching his rather speedy escalation into a lying, self-centered, self-aware-of-his-self-centeredness, sleazy not-so-idiot was one of the best background parts of the manga. I'm so happy that all this important detail is in the new anime!!
@Karma Akabane The event where they were gonna be featuring the first episodes of season 2 in theaters was cancelled. But season 2 itself wasn’t delayed. It’s still premiering April 6th.
i am VERY excited and happy with the remake shigure. manga shigure/remake shigure is the best. the dark sides to his character is amazing and i get a smile whenever dark shigure makes an appearance in the remake anime lol
Him laughing at thohru in her tent in ep 1 made me laugh so hard it got me to watch ep 2 and after that i was hooked hahah also 1000% shes going to end up with the cat dude there is genuine development for that at the end of season 1 it became pretty apparent
Honestly, i love both versions. 2001 ver braught this story to me. But i must admit, the 2019 version is doing a spectacular job at portraying the story of the manga. I think the only problem with the manga is that the truth of the curse is revealed quite ambiguously. So while some people understood it, many didn't (though im greatful i finally understood it AFTER ready it 3 times, definitely not on my first read). The 2019 anime is actually adding a lot of foreshadowing alongsite certain parts of their dialogue that parallel certain aspects of the curse to make it easier to pick up on later on (though im not gonna spoil that).
@@violetstarlight5561 did season 2 come out already? My friend stopped paying for crunchyroll so i havent checked it out yet (not watching no ads, you kidding me?)
Well, both Akito and Shigure are completely different characters in the original than the current one, and more based on the manga, because it happened the same as Full Metal Alchemist (the story hadn´t developed enough to know who they were in truth). The only thing I can say that itsn´t a spoiler is that Shigure is THE dog, a very determinated one. I think that Shigure's wish is the key factor to this story (something that we'll know in the third season, because I don't think one season is enough for all that's left... We've only reached the 6th-7th volume, and it has 23) I like both Shigure, the comical one gave his support to the MC, and the real one gives the story the push it needed. (Momiji is still my favourite one)
@@Kyurengo I wish I could unknow it because the first time I read through fruits basket, at Momiji's parts, I kept crying 😭. As a then teen, fruits basket destroyed my emotional control.
@@valerienavarrete1907 Right? You can't read Furuba without tissues close. And I still think that Momiji has the worst story yet the best way to deal with it (Kyo and Rin also have bad ones but they don't deal with them in a healthy way). He 's so strong!
Fruits Basket is the one manga series that I've kept for years, since I was a teenager. I'm so excited for this remake. People who are new to the series have No Idea what's in store!
He became my favorite character in 2019 adaptation. He was just so complex. He was super nice but you know that there is something behind all of his actions.
Oh man, I can't wait. The manga was like a bible to me as a teenager lol. I made a notebook with all my favorite qoutes and reread the manga all the time. I watched the OG anime like over 7 times lol. I remember the excitement I felt when the new anime was announced and was said to cover the entire manga! I'm super in love with it, I love the new art style and the new voice actors.
Shigure 2001: obnoxious pervy author outside and inside New Shigure: obnoxious pervy author outside but a mysterious inside i like that change because they could finally tidy fruits basket up and put it on its path to the climax and the original was kinda just cute and all over the place
He's on his side but also everyone's side because it gets him what he wants at the same time. He wanted to fix the situation in the only way he could because he was greedy in wanting everything and he was loyal to both sides. He didn't want to lose Akihito nor did he want to loose Yuki, Toru, and Kyo because he did care for them.
Shigure is a very complex character in the manga. Oddly enough he IS hinted at having a sinister side in the 2001 anime but it’s never explored as the 2001 anime series adapted a manga that wouldn’t be finished for another 5 years later (manga finished up in 2006). Shigure has a very manipulative personality that does some very terrible things for the good of the others. Shigure isn’t really evil but he knows that he and the other zodiac members are unhappy and suffering and will do anything to end the suffering even if that means causing more suffering initially before relief is achieved (think putting rubbing alcohol on a bleeding sore so that the infection doesn’t get worse. Hurts like hell but you feel better later). I don’t really like Shigure’s character but I see where he is coming from.
I'm glad you make this video. I see a lot of 2001 fans be sad and angry about the changes in Shigure personality and behavior. Well, that's what he was in the source material, who he always was. I liked the firts adaptation when I was younger, but compared with what they did in the remake and what's coming in april and later, it can't compete. It was too comic and after rewatching it, especially the episode when Thoru's best friends come to the house, it's just too much. Gags and gags to make it longer. Shigure is a fascinating character in this season : a main one who live and take care of the young ones, but also manipulated everyone around him for one goal who even seem different from Akito's. "You rip what you soar" he say to them, we don't know what he's really thinking as Thoru and Yuki pointed it in the Valentine's day episode. Only Hatori seem to understand what's going, not being his allies 'cause he don't want Thoru and the others to be hurt, but not being his enemy either 'cause making that dream a reality is probaly the only chance for Shigure to find happiness, like the few months he live with Kana himself. They're cursed and no one can truly blame them for wanting what everybody is looking for. I like their relationship 'cause their still friend after all these years and even if Shigure is not really a "good" person. I wish we had more of Ayame and Shigure discussion like that, 'cause the snake know as much as Hatori in that matter 'cause he had the dream too. I hope for it in season 2 and 3. Well, that's pretty much all, sorry for the big but Shigure has a real purpose in the story, not just a comic role. Can't wait for season 2, it's like waiting one more month is harder than waiting 1 year. And I'm a manga reader so I know what's coming but it's just... We're finally gonna have the rest of the story in anime !!
I can see he's twisted even in the OG anime, that's why I love him. I guess because it's such a fluffy rom-com, I noticed him more. His dark side is more obvious in the remake.
Shigure is a true man of mystery. His character develop really goes on a whole different level. You are uncertain him you can really even trust him or not. Love him or hate him, I do find his character here likable at least, even with his shady side in the reboot.
@@reebs_113 i think the anime condenses a few chapters into each episode which is great. The author is very heavily involved with this current anime adaptation and storyline so I think alot of the changes aren't too significant or altering. Also, the manga was written in the 90s, so couple small details would naturally be a little traditional
@@reebs_113 im so excited to see how everything will play out in the anime, like will there be any major changes or if they'll add some new parts. There is one scene in particular im very curious about cuz the English translation didnt make sense to/sounded too awkward. Its a major scene too but i dont know if itll be in this season
Avoid spoilers at all costs. In my opinion, Shigure is one of the best ________________ in manga history, especially in a shōjo manga. I don't read shōjo nowadays as I have switched to Seinen/Shônen (nowadays, I prefer tragic, suspense, thriller, psychological/mind warfare, battle/action/fighting scenes genre). However, I am sticking to Fruits Basket because of the mystery and tragic backstories despite the strong shōjo, romance-comedy undertones...
There are many dark shoujo, but I guess you are the type of people who judge a whole demographic from one manga. Hopefully the boring shounen with nake girls never tried you out.
When I watched the old version I never understood that shigure was bad. I thought that hatori was the enemy. With the remade version I only just realized this
Not really he just was very manipulative and gave off a sinister vibe IM NOT SPOILING ANYTHING FOR THE MANGA THO DONT WORRY. The anime comes out like next week.
I knew from the start that Seigure character was more then just a light-hearted individual. I picked up on the subtle signs they were giving. Maybe if you re-watch it now you be able to find more of those subtle hints. I knew he had something going on with the head of the family. I knew his upfront disposition was nothing but an act.
I'm a manga reader with a brother whose favorite character is Shigure and my brother can talk for literal HOURS about Shigure's character and his role in the story. He's an incredibly complex character that is SOOO well written
I loved Shigure in 2001 but I love him even more in 2019 version (although now m feelngs about him are more complicated) I am also only anime watcher so I cant wait whats to come
i have picked up the manga sires from the library back in summer, it was a great story, and i was sad the anime did not have the whole story, i love the ending it was well done, and how some character connections came to be like Kyo and another character, and to find out Akito secret will shock you, and what happen to tohru on the second to last manga or last of the thick one will leave you in tears.
I was introduced to Furuba by the original anime. I originally fell in love with how quirky it was and then, started reading the manga. It's my favorite manga for sure. It has a nice blend of the quirky humor and the serious tone of the remake. I'm was excited to learn about a remake. Without spoiling anything, I'll just say your analysis of Shigure is pretty on point. If this stays the course, it's about to start getting real crazy.
Anime only fans: HE'S SO SCARY!! WHY DID THEY CHANGE HIM SO MUCH?!? HE'S NOT THE SAME!!! Manga fans who have known all along: * sips tea and snickers quietly * 😏☕
Loved this video, I’m getting flashbacks of feeling really bad for shigure’s editor lol.. I’m so excited to see how they’ll expand on the story in season 2! Great video as always!
Lord, I am SOOO glad they did a remake of the anime. The first one BARELY followed the manga at all, and it really just upset me. They left SOOOOOOO much out, namely Kureno and Rin, who are really important to the story. I've been wishing for a remake for so long, and I'm so happy we now have one. Sure it's been making me cry, by the manga did that as well. I'm so very grateful for the remake and seeing the characters the way they're supposed to be
I appreciate this comparative look at Shigure’s 2001 vs reboot character development! That being said, I do believe the 2001 make did actually hint at the probability of Shigure’s in-depth role in a potential plot build up on many occasions. I remember always feeling somewhat unfulfilled that this plot was never really “revealed” or built on in the original anime. I am however, ecstatic to see where it will go in the reboot. Shigure has always been one of my favorite characters, and I’ve found that my fondness for him has grown over time as I’ve grown closer to Shigure, Hatori & Ayame’s age group. On another note, VERY pleased with the choice of Japanese voice actors for the reboot!
yes I’m so glad there will be a second season! this is one anime that just absolutely deserves many, many seasons, it’s a healing anime for me and I love it beyond words 🥺💕
Shigure was always my favorite character and when these things were unmasked I was very surprised. I like the change honestly. I was very excited because the original always left me most confused about Akito and even his minimal relationship with Shigure. But as it was stated, it feels so much darker😂
i really enjoy your analysis of canon!shigure and aaa i cant wait for you to watch season 3 since that's where akito and shigure's relationship will be explored! (it's too far huhu) everyone is so hyped for s2 and i cant wait for your reactions because i find them very entertaining and very deep!
@@BriThi It's a big series!. Season 1 only adapted like 42 and a half chapters out of 136!, with pacing at 2 chapters a episode and the odd special episode adapting only 1 chapter (the Uotani episodes took a alternative at adapting 1 and a half chapters a episode). So unless they start rushing stuff (which is the last thing any of us want). If they keep going at this really good pace. I can easily see this being a 3 season series of 25 episodes each. Heck may even be 4 seasons, as there were a couple storylines in the manga that didn't get enough detail, that could be fleshed out more.
When I first finished watching the 2019 version, Shigure is my favorite character of all. He recognizes that he's the type who'd do anything to get what he wants. Up until the end, I thought he really was a scum but thru being a "scum" he helped push everything to a happy ending for himself and everyone else.
The 2001 ver brought me this amazing series but the original manga made it my ultimate favourite of all time so I’m extremely excited knowing they remake the original manga in anime. My reaction was like you when I realised how dark Shigure actually is when read the manga. Also please stay tunes for the twist on the relationship between Shigure and Akito. I’m pretty sure you will be surprised and like it a lot. The thing that makes me love this series is because the darkness that it brought. You laugh a lot but cry a lot too. Akito was made a male in the 2001 version but Akito is in fact, a woman, and that was changed in the new version. It’s an important detail that I wish didn’t go as unnoticed as it seems
The manga is one of my favorites and I love that the new take on the anime is actually following the tragedy that is Fruits Basket. Akito especially is a tragic story.

i'm gonna be honest with you....i clicked because there;s Shigure in the thumbnail that's all....you don't understand,i'm obsessed with this old man and it's not ok
Shigure is selfish and petty but cares about others … hes not a narcissist despite his ego … he’s really gets a kick messing with people so while he’ll help you or you could depend on him he’s gonna get something out of it one way or another this man Can Not Be Bored …which gives me some phsyco vibes
Nice! As someone who's read the series and looooves it to pieces, it's always interesting to hear takes from fans who haven't gotten to the parts of the story past the revelation of Kyo's "true form". I enjoyed the video - keep doing what you do!
I feel like the remake Shigure is so much more true to the manga! That calculative, manipulative quality of his was scrapped in the original but it's his most distinctive quality. Shigure is my favorite!
I read the manga when I was in High school before the first anime adaptation, it’s such a heart wrenching/heartwarming story. You really get the depths and layers of each character and you get to see what really drives them forward exposing their inner most vulnerable and ugly side to them. It’s honestly such a beautiful story and so sweet, pure and sorrowful. I loved the first anime adaptation but I have to agree when they lacked some of the depths and part of the story just to make it more light hearted and comedic. Not that the manga is not light hearted and funny because it was but it also had a different side to it, an undertone that kept you uneasy and somewhat nervous. I’m so happy with the remake and how close it is to it’s original source because it’s truly such a beautiful story and it does the characters justice by revealing them and correctly telling their side to give us a better understanding of where they stand and how the story will progress.
To be fair. It might be that he heard that spoiler without reading the manga. It is pretty easy to find out that spoiler just by googling Akito. That is a big reason I tell people who watch this series to never google anything about it becuase it is such an easy spoiler.
@@raspberrysoda372 true, i've never read the manga but since the first anime version of fruits basket , there where people spoiling it on the comments lmao
I’ve read the series as well as watched both versions of the anime so far. Personally, I prefer the aura of Shigure in the prior version, I think he could’ve remained quirky and funny and still had his shady background, so that it really threw you more. I liked it better when you were given the feeling of wanting to trust him but logically questioning what his agenda was, rather than having stronger implicators of his iffy intentions.
i just started watching it (2019) today and i love it!! i've already seen half of it hehe shigure is an amazing character and i love the tone of this series! one day i'll watch the original and love that too :) thank you for the video and can't wait to watch more
i've finished the manga (10+ years ago) and all the anime episodes up to this date and correct me if I'm forgetting something but why is everyone making shigure seem like such a bad person? sure he is manipulative and selfish but he was also the one to pull all the pieces of the puzzle together (you'll know what i mean if you've finished the manga as i am referring to the ending). i honestly do not think shigure deserves all the hate.
I disagree at certain points. I have read about half of the manga, and think the OG anime is closer to the manga. Shigure and Tohru are still crazy at certain times, and you realize that Shigure's persona is a facade for the most part. And him being goofy 75% of the time, only makes his genuine and more serious moments that much more meaningful. His goofy side was like a playful puppy. In the OG anime, Shigure didn't seem too distant from Akito, but they were hiding Akito's face to make her seem more mysterious. They were going to make a second season to show Akito and Shigure's relationship, but we're told they'd lost the funding, and to focus on their other anime. That's why the ending is squished together, and still a cliffhanger. The remake hardly shows Shigure's goofy facade, and means less to me since he's more mature. It gives him less character, same with Tohru no longer freaking out and getting embarrassed and stuttering as much. Or the sweet enthusiasm in her English VA's voice like in the OG. Despite them being the same cast. It's just lost some of it's magic for me... But I'm a bit bias, because Fruits Basket is my absolute favorite anime. And I'm practically a living Tohru people tell me, and can deeply relate to her and her views/ emotional reasoning. This story is so close to my heart, and hits home deeply. I've laughed, I've cried as I've read 13 of the mangas, and watched all of the OG. I cry every time.. but I didn't cry watching the remake, and I'm not sure why... The ending of season 1 was better than the rest of the season, I hope season 2 brings back the magic. I'll be watching it regardless to see what happens past my mangas though..

I know what is up with Akito and shigure and I can't wait for all the anime only fans to see it. You will not be expecting this

An easy away to put it is that Shigure's side has always been Shigure. He does care about others but his number one side is himself

Amatullah M I get the feeling we getting a season 3. It won’t unravel soon. It’s a whole lot.

in conclusion ; the existence of their relationship is the root of this series lmao
We've only reached the 6th-7th volume, and it has 23)
I like both Shigure, the comical one gave his support to the MC, and the real one gives the story the push it needed.

2001 Shigure is what Shigure's character is like from Tohru's perspective
Shigure 2001: obnoxious pervy author outside and inside
New Shigure: obnoxious pervy author outside but a mysterious inside
i like that change because they could finally tidy fruits basket up and put it on its path to the climax and the original was kinda just cute and all over the place
Thanks for your comment :) it was a good read! Don’t ever feel bad for commenting long post!

Shigure is a really well written character to say the least
There were hints to this personality in the first one but it’s so much closer to the manga now I love it
As a manga reader im so excited to see someone experience this thought process about shigure for the first time
This is still interesting, even a couple of years after finishing the remake

Manga readers: oooohh, you have NO idea 🤫😉😈
I can feel you
Anime only: ohohoho then please don't say anything and try to enjoy our reactions 😈
Oh no now I’m afraid
Your comments and excitment for s2 give me life! I hope you'll do reaction videos or review videos on the the new episodes. Above all: DON'T GET SPOILED !
I probably will be doing those! I promise I won't get spoiled haha. I've made it this far...
"Haven't read the manga...." oh..oh you poor poor lambs to the slaughter. *cackles* I hope it keeps true to the manga so you can really experience the twisted beauty that is fruits basket. I will say the driving force for all characters in a way is love denied either for others or amongst themselves.
Tryst Kinkou i really want to read the manga but are there any websites i can read the manga online??
I have always had the hots for Shigure but the new Fruit Baskets made him even more attractive and I am also the year of the dog 🐶
They NEED to give Kodocha a reboot. It was such an underrated anime :((
i'm gonna be honest with you....i clicked because there;s Shigure in the thumbnail that's all....you don't understand,i'm obsessed with this old man and it's not ok
Shigure is selfish and petty but cares about others … hes not a narcissist despite his ego … he’s really gets a kick messing with people so while he’ll help you or you could depend on him he’s gonna get something out of it one way or another this man Can Not Be Bored …which gives me some phsyco vibes
Random, but Pokémon music!!
How did you know?? Such good ears wow :0
"I've never read the manga, i know nothing about anything!'
*refers to Akito as 'them'*
i smell a lie
Unwavering hearts in the background.. nice choice
The problem is the first adaption was just quirk and kind of boring.
i just started watching it (2019) today and i love it!! i've already seen half of it hehe shigure is an amazing character and i love the tone of this series! one day i'll watch the original and love that too :) thank you for the video and can't wait to watch more
i've finished the manga (10+ years ago) and all the anime episodes up to this date and correct me if I'm forgetting something but why is everyone making shigure seem like such a bad person? sure he is manipulative and selfish but he was also the one to pull all the pieces of the puzzle together (you'll know what i mean if you've finished the manga as i am referring to the ending). i honestly do not think shigure deserves all the hate.
