To anyone riding passenger in the FRV, your job while in the vehicle is ping where you want your driver to go, it saves time for the driver to make a clean escape from enemy fire.
Not sure if people are aware, but if you get the new “Spartan kick” type emote, it doubles as a melee attack. I’m loving it. I’d like to see other empires that could double as melee attacks, like a boxing combo or karate kick.
I covered that last week in my Tips and Tricks video, but thanks for mentioning here. When I bring in my melle/swarm build, I always equip it for a little extra added 'kick'!
So the buggy has "hidden features" in the forms of the headlights, the horn honking and switching seats while inside. That got me thinking, the mech.. as it turns out has some as well. We already know the F key, which is honking the horn with the FRV is the Melee stomp for the mech. Turns out however, the mech's headlights also have a unique feature. They start on by default, but have 3 settings: Off, Default and Strong. Mechs are gonna be a must-have if you dont bring flashlight weapons on blackout planets..
They seriously need the option to remap these controls. I use X for stim and that means I can't adjust the headlights because every time I try I waste a stim...
What are you talking about, Sony invested heavily into this game. The game would be far worse off without Sony in the picture, Its easy to call them the boogeyman, whilst forgetting that without Sony investing in this project, the game wouldn't even exist, and you would still be playing Helldivers topdown.
Only thing Sony did was the account thing. Every other thing wrong with the game is Arrowhead. The CEO stated it was them that set the price for The Killzone bundle not Sony. Y'all better thank the stars for Playstation the game as it is wouldn't exist without them. They told Arrowhead to make the game 3rd person and gave them the budget and technology to do it. Playstation is the number 1 game company on Earth for a reason. 😂
This would be a perfect opportunity for ArrowHead to introduce a "super heavy" helldiver armour option and a minigun. We need the extra firepower for these alien pests.
For the frv, you can also carry objects and drive, to do so get in the passenger seat and then use the switch seat key. If you go straight for the drivers seat you will drop the object.
Just had a geo mission that broke and instead of leaving we held our ground until the end of the mission, had us shouting for the creek and for the imperium of man and for cadia and stuff like that. Best mission ever and we didn’t even beat it. This is the true GOTY
6:34 it makes sense that they didn't give the content to inactive accounts, they didn't put up with the negative effects Sony had on the game, it's kind of like they're saying "hey, thanks for sticking it out with us!"
I think the bigger point of it though is mostly just because they used the Major Order reward system, which stops giving rewards to inactive accounts both to reduce server load of giving out these rewards as well as so that returning players don't get inundated with major order reward notifications, most of which would just be 0 medals because of the cap, on login.
No it doesn't make sense. These people BOUGHT the game. I was playing the game and I actually bought the first batch before receiving second batch for free, but I'm kinda starting to regret seeing this shit.
@Grandafmor I grinded the credits out in 2 days of gameplay and I'm not very good at the game so I know its doable, what I'm sick of seeing is people that abandoned the game when it was at a low expecting to be be on par with a player that went through the ups and downs of the game and it's politics. It comes off as being spoiled.
@Grandafmor you would have been super pissed gaming in the early 2000's people would pay full price for a game and then pay that same price for a new piece of that game-the were called expansion packs.

Sony if given free hand would make warbonds 2k or worse in addition to far more fomo superstore. Players were 100% right for boycotting the game due to the Sony meddling and there is no valid arguments against that.
The left stick is how you honk a horn on controller, and I can confirm you can switch seats somehow. However I've only made this happen by accident when zooming in and out on the map.
4:30 i think its the speed you have at touchdown and the time in the air because i primary use light to medium armor and still encounter it basically every time
Ive been rocking light armor with jumpack recently due to the free killzone armor. I've found that releasing movement keys/joystick (im console) results in a smooth landing. It's kinda weird cuz you gotta start your momentum over but after the jump just let go and you'll land safely every time.
I just hope the servers get fixed soon! I haven't played through a full campaign of missions without disconnecting since the Illuminate. Love it and hope to play for years to come, but hope they fix this soon!
@austineriksson3542 nope, it's not. It's a game issue. Multiple people have said the same thing and I see on reddit. There is something wrong with the way they made the illuminate planets connection wise
@@Mkable01 I've run 10s with Melee, doing so makes me rely completely on Support and Primary Weapons. Currently Melee is just a stun option, less versatile then stun-grenades while loosing a backup weapon that can actually kill foe's in a reasonable timeframe.
Aurora Bay, a planet connected with Cyberstan is at a low defense rate, if a lot of divers were to carry out operations there, would be really interesting
Calling it now, there is a Cyberstan ll beyond the galactic map and the OG Cyberstan is a heavy fortress important to bots but there really are no items of value anymore cuz this seems toooo easy…
Honestly, I love the idea but I don't think the Cyberstan map is done yet, so Joel will probably throw a massive assault at us from the boys just to make more time for the studio. It would be fun if we were pushed back to Malevelon Creek again.
I have the feeling that the bots and squids are in cahoots. We were trouncing the bots until suddenly, they have tanks and hulking reinforcements. Now the bots are essentially at our front door while we try to defend from a series of squid attacks. Christmas should be fun
Lightsabers have a lot of gameplay potential: Cutting through anything that makes enemies need counters with beskar, cortosis, hide like the zillo beast & etc. Catches lighting making you stop or move forward slowly, exposing you to voteless attack. Then if we extract their mystic powers, we can use Darktide's psyker countdown meter when casting. Also, block & deflect enemy fire.
As a heavy armor user, i found if i was pressing 'W' when i land using the jetpack i would ragdoll everytime. My fix was simple, press jumppack button dont hold it and dont press 'WASD' or any direction when you land an it seems to have a %100 land rate. Also sems to be an issue with the FRV for people who use 'Toggle ADS'. I use Toggle for aiming an when i right click to aim while a passenger, My diver steps out then immedietly back into the FRV. So i cannot aim/shoot while a passenger
I personally don't think the jump pack ragdoll thing is a bug. I believe it's intentional and I love it. My brothers run jump packs and watching them crashing all over the place to get away from the bugs over running them is hilarious. I've tried to tell them use the shield pack, but they won't even try it. Oh well, I'll just enjoy the show from my hexy yellow bubble.
I only use light and medium armor sets with the jetpack and rag-doll upon landing 90% more than before the update that started the problem. You are right that slowing down before landing reduces the chances of rag dolling, but that’s not the way I was used to playing. The jetpack is meant to increase mobility and needing to shorten your jumps to prevent rag dolling is counter that purpose. I hope they fix this bug soon. I loved the jetpack previously.
5:02 The best trick I’ve learnt around this, is that we instinctively sprint to jet pack in whatever direction we’re going, thus, when in mid-air, just cancel sprint to normal jog and you should cut out the speed at which you touch the ground that causes you to Raggdoll.. conclusion for me is if the speed at which your landing is faster than the speed at which you can sprint, you will Raggdoll automatically, is the understanding I have regarding this… hope this helps.
Ragdoll affects all armor types. You are right that stopping forward momentum at touchdown helps reduce ragdoll but touch anything other than flat terrain and you smack the ground.
I'd love to see situations where we're sent down to a planet with multiple factions fighting eachother, Bugs vs Illuminate or Bugs vs Bots ect ect, would mix things up rather nicely.
Also, PC players, be careful in the passenger seat. Pinging your map results in you leaning out and firing. Also, when you carry a hard drive, you can bring it into the vehicle with you, but when you lean out to shoot, even with a 1 handed weapon, you WILL drop the hard drive out the window like a discarded McDonald's bag on the side of the highway.

At this point the Game is running pretty good and we have a good amount of content specially for players who are coming in new. They should really focus on giving us Customization Options for Armors, Weapons and Vehicles. Customization always goes very far in extending the life of a Game.
I agree if we're talking upgrades or changing boosters. I don't really care how I look during a game. However, say putting a larger clip on the cook out but lowering the number of rounds, or enhancing it's piro power but lowering number of rounds. You know customize your favorite weapon to be what you want.
Since Arrowhead made the game more interactive with players, aside from the new content, I believe people are more engaged as it gives players such as myself more purpose to play. I hope they add some more content to spend medals and SC on for those that own everything they can buy already. Maybe something like xp boosters to spend sc and medals on to level quicker or some more visual things we can purchase that don't have to be huge releases each time but could be smaller for them to work on. Great game!
Regarding post update crashes: There were no failed files on mine...at first, but it crashed every few minutes anyway. I deleted the Appdata > Roaming > Arrowhead > Helldivers2 folder, that forces the refresh of some settings when you first log back in, but also acknowledges the failed file(s) within Steam's scan. That resolved all my stability issues on my next game start.
Things that would make me love this game even more than I already do... New melee weapon... I'm thinking a sword. Of the chainsaw variety if they can make it legally distinct enough. New support weapon, minigun with backpack-fed ammo. New airstrike, I wanna see a new bird in the sky, a bomber called the Condor that flies high and does bombing runs. A smaller four-wheeler vehicle like the mongoose from Halo for speedier getaway action or even solo dives. More marksman rifles and SMGs. An impact stun grenade. A laser cannon turret. That's all just off the top of my head.
In regards to the Jet Pack landing rag doll glitch, it doesn't matter what armour class you use, if you hold your controller forward/backwards or not at all. Even terrain uneven terrain, you'll still rag doll.
One note, it’s not really a manual transmission, the gear options are the same in an automatic. It even kinda feels like it has a torque converter! 1 holds the transmission in first gear, 2 holds it in second (I think, either that or it’ll shift between first and second but no higher), and drive will shift through all of the gears. It’s really well made, I’d love to see how it would handle on a map with open space, so far I’ve only been able to drive it on planets covered in rocks or trees
I've ragdolled with the lights siege armor. The issue seems to e pressing forward on the left stick. Workaround: when you ab9ut Toland, pull back on the left stick. Your diver may turn around and run towards the camera..but the diver isn't ragdolled🤷🏾♂️💯
Only wear light armor and dive with the jump pack. The ragdolling seems to corelate with speed and height. The faster you are moving when you land the more often you will rag, if the landing spot is too much higher or lower in elevation you will rag, if you land on something with uneven service you will usually rag.
I've been ragdolling with the jump pack using medium armor. Not pressing ANY movement keys just before landing seems to help stabilize. Additionally, I've had friends log in after a fairly long hiatus and still get rewards for Major orders (to such a degree that they can't efficiently utilize their medals because of the low cap)
For the jet pack glitch, I simply just don’t move my joystick once I’m going in the direction I want to go. I always land perfectly with no issues doing that.
One thing you can do to stop yourself from ragdolling is pushing your stick in the opposite direction to slow down believe it or not. There are times I have died from impact wearing light armor because I was going so fast in the air so you can't tell me that's not a factor. I always have a jump pack with me and usually the machine gun so I can reload mid-air. For bots I always wear the enforcer armor

@LtBuzzLitebeer I tried releasing forwards, but it didn't seem effective, even when I wasn't experiencing the bug. I will say, however, that ragdolling is hilarious and I love it.
An easy solution to the Jump Pack Problem is to simply stop holding "W" key just before landing or Left stick. My first experience I was wearing light armor on the Urban maps just jumping down a empty street & my Helldiver would slip on his shoe laces every time he landed while holding forward. I don't think armor types play a part because it would happen to me no matter the armor I was wearing. I did do my testing on Urban maps down empty streets to limit obstacles & to keep the testing environment the same. Constant movement just before landing appears to be the problem.
They should allow us to have a slot dedicated to a melee weapon and upgrade our weapons, support weapons and armor. They can even do it similarly to the Super Destroyer upgrading system to use samples as an example. However, due to many weapons constantly getting added on to the game, they could be a little merciful and reduce the cost for upgrading them. • Increased Reload Speed • Increased Ammo Per Magazine • +1 Magazine Capacity • Damage Increase • Jet Pack Cooldown/Distance • Energy Weapon Heat Reduction • Arc Weapon Chain +1 or 2 I like to imagine that if we have an option to upgrade armor, we can put a total of six with the major one being an extra effect on a set of armor from existing sets or do research to unlock new effects: • Increase Armor • Increase Stamina • Increase Stamina Regeneration • +1 Stim • +1 Throwable • [Add Armor Perk] Researchable perk that gives a +1 Stim and Throwable called "Ready For Anything!". Or another where, when you're in the vicinity of samples, it'll show it on the mini map called "Tactical Sample Acquiring." Taking limb damage in a firefight has a chance to proc an affect where the Hell Diver's stamina rapidly regens, ignores limb damage with increased speed for a few seconds to allow the player to run away called "Liberty, Save Me!".
I want to see factions, a player hub (possibly on the DSS), armor/weapon coloring, co-operative tanks, and more human spacefaring vessels (like, replace destroyers with corvette, make player vessels upgradeable to Destroyer/Frigate/Cruiser-class ships (maybe make tiers of stratagems which are only deployable on "such and such" ship class, because firing a weapon of that size/type would force your ship out of low orbit/off target, or cause visible damage to the ship when you return from the mission after using X stratagem without the right gun mount/ship class). I know they're probably in the process of working at least some of these ideas into the game, and it'll probably be a while before we see them released, but it'll be awesome when they do.
As for the ragdolling with the jumpack, I've found that I ragdoll very frequently when I'm moving with a lot of momentum. As you get better with the jumpack, you find ways to move with high momentum often which is both useful an very satisfying to me. Holding "S" as I landed solved this, but at the cost of lots of speed and it just doesn't feel good anymore. I used to bring the pack a lot, but I've been bringing other things instead lately. I hope they fix this.
I love playing designated driver, bring a couple area control orbitals and eagles, a jump pack for survival and a car, to just shuttle my team from one objective to the next.
I have 2 thoughts as to the Christmas thing, the devs wouldn’t want to interrupt the divers family time on Christmas. But at the same time the enemies of super earth would know Christmas is a day of rest for most, so they could push with less resistance 😬
What I would love to see is a siege mode or assault mode where bots,bugs etc spawn inside a base at extreme numbers and defend the base at all costs and you have to push in much like capture the flag and hold multiple areas kinda like the base defense modes they have for divers right now it would be fun to have a reverse mode where you have to assault a heavily guarded base with multiple tiers.
I'm pretty happy with the FRV so far. Only thing that sucks is when pelican drops it on a rock and it flips over, would be nice to be able to do a team flip over of the vehicle.
4th Faction idea: *Chaos Divers* enemy AI (Separatist forces that are against super earth) Why not give us a plethora of melee weapon styles 1H Swords, Maces and Axes 2H Swords, Hammers, Maces, Axes Grapple Hook wrist launcher(1handed like the directional shield?) to mount large foes or climb stuff.
I typically only wear medium armor and I get the ragdoll issue with the jump pack even on flat terrain but on console letting go of the movement stick of pulling back seems to slow down the momentum to prevent ragdolling
I don't even need a tank, I just wanna pick the turret weapon on the FRV. The new anti-tank cannon could be amazing for driving around fighting heavy targets, or the stalwart for spraying groups of voteless/bugs.

there is a glitch with FRV, (the car) and jump pack, (maybe you know about it) but if you have someone run you over with the car and hold the jump button for the packs activation without moving, as the car hits you and the packs thrusts ends(or begins, i need more testing to see ) you will launch the car with your buddy really far away, its funny as hell and a little fun. PLUS new tech with car, drive into the traitor zone, get traitor, and then chase bugs or bot with your own free barrage :) happy hunting
For me, I was rag-dolling with light and medium armor while using the jet pack. The work around i found to work was not using the direction keys while landing. Wait till the feet touch solid ground then start moving. Not game breaking but annoying when you are trying to use the pack for speed and evasion. Also i find the manual driving mechanics of the vehicle to be unnecessary, and adds too much mechanical difficulty. When m y squad and i use it, its to get out of a hot spot and fast. Something i would love to see, is bonus' or buffs to certain armor classes paired with certain weapons and support weapons. Maybe light armor will benefit from a damage buff or recoil handing buff when using light weapons such as SMG's and side arms. Heavy armor getting a buff when using heavy machine guns and rocket launchers. and medium armor getting a buff for using shotguns, rifles, etc. I may be in the minority for something like this, but it would add a role dynamic to squads. Maybe light armor users can get some additional stealth benefits. and maybe heavy armor can get some ability to attracts enemy attention away from teamats. just a thought.
I love the jet pack when I’m stuck in a pinch when I definitely should have died has saved me countless times. Ever since the change though (it maybe a skill issue) even if I attempt to not fall over or rag doll I still manage to find myself on the ground it seems random and unintentional and never consistent regardless of the armor I equip. The result of the change I find myself using the jet pack less and less because of how it feels now compared to before. I hope they make a change to the state of the jet pack to make it feel better cause right now it hurts my brain to use.
With having to fight on three different fronts once the Illuminate start more consistent attacks, Arrowhead should release HD2 on Xbox for the additional Helldiver reinforcements
I think the "New Factions" are going to start with heavily evolved nids coming from the fogged over sectors. Like, bioforms with mounted, biological weapons, bipeds, etc. its been cooking since Merida, i bet thats what comes next. As for melee weapons, I want an entrenching tool, a bayonet charge mechanic, and a sabre, be it energy or chain in style. And bring on a siege breaker walker, with a big drill and a heavy flammemwerfer.
Hopefully they give out the Killzone stuff to the rest of players. My buddy hopped back on to get it. He hasn't played in months YET was given the Constitution.
The Constitution day stuff was specifically set so new and returning players would get it, might not have been intentional as they were trying to recover from the backlash over the Killzone shop item fiasco, I imagine they'll probably do something about that if only to avoid any further backlash.
I was wearing Light armor last night and not only getting the rag dolling but also not getting as much vertical lift as I recall and it was very difficult to get on top of rock formations and buildings...
i want the lance to be optional between a melee attack or a throwing mode. when holding it hold down reload and it have option between melee or throw and if throw is picked you can aim and throw it and it should one tap anything medium and below. once thrown you have to go back and pick it up. if hitting something above medium if it doesn’t do enough damage to kill the enemy it hits the enemy then falls off of them so the player can pick it back up.
With illuminate here, the next logical choice for AH is to bring back the boss fights. Each faction had a MASTER, that you had to buy into to face off with. Defeating them granted the most influence towards the war in rhat sector but I'm sure it would be planet to planet this time. In the first game the master levels were small, like the hold out missions, but imagining fighting rhe master in the new level scale would be awesome.
I’d love to see a larger two handed melee weapon like a warhammer or a Zweihänder. Would fit really well with some of the more knight themed heavy armors. Would also love to see the ballistic shield, at the least, made to block at least some level of melee damage from bots, bugs, and squids

Don't forget the hand brake! Those 180's can get you lined up on targets very quickly!

For the frv, you can also carry objects and drive, to do so get in the passenger seat and then use the switch seat key. If you go straight for the drivers seat you will drop the object.
Just had a geo mission that broke and instead of leaving we held our ground until the end of the mission, had us shouting for the creek and for the imperium of man and for cadia and stuff like that. Best mission ever and we didn’t even beat it. This is the true GOTY

6:34 it makes sense that they didn't give the content to inactive accounts, they didn't put up with the negative effects Sony had on the game, it's kind of like they're saying "hey, thanks for sticking it out with us!"
I think the bigger point of it though is mostly just because they used the Major Order reward system, which stops giving rewards to inactive accounts both to reduce server load of giving out these rewards as well as so that returning players don't get inundated with major order reward notifications, most of which would just be 0 medals because of the cap, on login.

The left stick is how you honk a horn on controller, and I can confirm you can switch seats somehow. However I've only made this happen by accident when zooming in and out on the map.

Ive been rocking light armor with jumpack recently due to the free killzone armor. I've found that releasing movement keys/joystick (im console) results in a smooth landing. It's kinda weird cuz you gotta start your momentum over but after the jump just let go and you'll land safely every time.
I just hope the servers get fixed soon! I haven't played through a full campaign of missions without disconnecting since the Illuminate.

I wish for a Weapon Slot exclusive to Melee, so you can always have it as backup. Currently as a secondary is never worth it at high difficulties.
The melee weapons are extrem viable at higher difficulties. Just play to your strengths mate

@@Mkable01 I've run 10s with Melee, doing so makes me rely completely on Support and Primary Weapons. Currently Melee is just a stun option, less versatile then stun-grenades while loosing a backup weapon that can actually kill foe's in a reasonable timeframe.

Calling it now, there is a Cyberstan ll beyond the galactic map and the OG Cyberstan is a heavy fortress important to bots but there really are no items of value anymore cuz this seems toooo easy…
Honestly, I love the idea but I don't think the Cyberstan map is done yet, so Joel will probably throw a massive assault at us from the boys just to make more time for the studio. It would be fun if we were pushed back to Malevelon Creek again.

I have the feeling that the bots and squids are in cahoots. We were trouncing the bots until suddenly, they have tanks and hulking reinforcements. Now the bots are essentially at our front door while we try to defend from a series of squid attacks. Christmas should be fun
Lightsabers have a lot of gameplay potential: Cutting through anything that makes enemies need counters with beskar, cortosis, hide like the zillo beast & etc. Catches lighting making you stop or move forward slowly, exposing you to voteless attack. Then if we extract their mystic powers, we can use Darktide's psyker countdown meter when casting. Also, block & deflect enemy fire.
As a heavy armor user, i found if i was pressing 'W' when i land using the jetpack i would ragdoll everytime. My fix was simple, press jumppack button dont hold it and dont press 'WASD' or any direction when you land an it seems to have a %100 land rate.
Also sems to be an issue with the FRV for people who use 'Toggle ADS'. I use Toggle for aiming an when i right click to aim while a passenger, My diver steps out then immedietly back into the FRV. So i cannot aim/shoot while a passenger

I personally don't think the jump pack ragdoll thing is a bug. I believe it's intentional and I love it. My brothers run jump packs and watching them crashing all over the place to get away from the bugs over running them is hilarious. I've tried to tell them use the shield pack, but they won't even try it. Oh well, I'll just enjoy the show from my hexy yellow bubble.
I only use light and medium armor sets with the jetpack and rag-doll upon landing 90% more than before the update that started the problem.
You are right that slowing down before landing reduces the chances of rag dolling, but that’s not the way I was used to playing. The jetpack is meant to increase mobility and needing to shorten your jumps to prevent rag dolling is counter that purpose.
I hope they fix this bug soon. I loved the jetpack previously.

5:02 The best trick I’ve learnt around this, is that we instinctively sprint to jet pack in whatever direction we’re going, thus, when in mid-air, just cancel sprint to normal jog and you should cut out the speed at which you touch the ground that causes you to Raggdoll.. conclusion for me is if the speed at which your landing is faster than the speed at which you can sprint, you will Raggdoll automatically, is the understanding I have regarding this… hope this helps.

Ragdoll affects all armor types. You are right that stopping forward momentum at touchdown helps reduce ragdoll but touch anything other than flat terrain and you smack the ground.
I'd love to see situations where we're sent down to a planet with multiple factions fighting eachother, Bugs vs Illuminate or Bugs vs Bots ect ect, would mix things up rather nicely.
Also, PC players, be careful in the passenger seat. Pinging your map results in you leaning out and firing. Also, when you carry a hard drive, you can bring it into the vehicle with you, but when you lean out to shoot, even with a 1 handed weapon, you WILL drop the hard drive out the window like a discarded McDonald's bag on the side of the highway.
Pushing S and releasing the spacebar does help and im using Light armor.

At this point the Game is running pretty good and we have a good amount of content specially for players who are coming in new. They should really focus on giving us Customization Options for Armors, Weapons and Vehicles. Customization always goes very far in extending the life of a Game.
I agree if we're talking upgrades or changing boosters. I don't really care how I look during a game. However, say putting a larger clip on the cook out but lowering the number of rounds, or enhancing it's piro power but lowering number of rounds. You know customize your favorite weapon to be what you want.

Since Arrowhead made the game more interactive with players, aside from the new content, I believe people are more engaged as it gives players such as myself more purpose to play.
I hope they add some more content to spend medals and SC on for those that own everything they can buy already. Maybe something like xp boosters to spend sc and medals on to level quicker or some more visual things we can purchase that don't have to be huge releases each time but could be smaller for them to work on. Great game!

Regarding post update crashes: There were no failed files on mine...at first, but it crashed every few minutes anyway. I deleted the Appdata > Roaming > Arrowhead > Helldivers2 folder, that forces the refresh of some settings when you first log back in, but also acknowledges the failed file(s) within Steam's scan. That resolved all my stability issues on my next game start.
We are gonna have a Hell of a Dive next year

New melee weapon... I'm thinking a sword. Of the chainsaw variety if they can make it legally distinct enough. New support weapon, minigun with backpack-fed ammo. New airstrike, I wanna see a new bird in the sky, a bomber called the Condor that flies high and does bombing runs. A smaller four-wheeler vehicle like the mongoose from Halo for speedier getaway action or even solo dives. More marksman rifles and SMGs. An impact stun grenade. A laser cannon turret.
That's all just off the top of my head.

Funnily enough I actually came to the same solution you did for the jet pack. Pulling back before falling seems to have fixed the issue for me

In regards to the Jet Pack landing rag doll glitch, it doesn't matter what armour class you use, if you hold your controller forward/backwards or not at all. Even terrain uneven terrain, you'll still rag doll.
When you take off with a jump pack, fly the direction you want to and just before you land pull back to slow down you won’t fall over.
One note, it’s not really a manual transmission, the gear options are the same in an automatic. It even kinda feels like it has a torque converter! 1 holds the transmission in first gear, 2 holds it in second (I think, either that or it’ll shift between first and second but no higher), and drive will shift through all of the gears. It’s really well made, I’d love to see how it would handle on a map with open space, so far I’ve only been able to drive it on planets covered in rocks or trees
I've ragdolled with the lights siege armor. The issue seems to e pressing forward on the left stick.
Workaround: when you ab9ut Toland, pull back on the left stick. Your diver may turn around and run towards the camera..but the diver isn't ragdolled🤷🏾♂️💯
Same thing has happened to me with the same solution
Only wear light armor and dive with the jump pack. The ragdolling seems to corelate with speed and height. The faster you are moving when you land the more often you will rag, if the landing spot is too much higher or lower in elevation you will rag, if you land on something with uneven service you will usually rag.
I knew about the horn only because another diver honk it. Did not know what key it was bound to. F good to know!
I've been ragdolling with the jump pack using medium armor. Not pressing ANY movement keys just before landing seems to help stabilize. Additionally, I've had friends log in after a fairly long hiatus and still get rewards for Major orders (to such a degree that they can't efficiently utilize their medals because of the low cap)
For the jet pack glitch, I simply just don’t move my joystick once I’m going in the direction I want to go. I always land perfectly with no issues doing that.

One thing you can do to stop yourself from ragdolling is pushing your stick in the opposite direction to slow down believe it or not. There are times I have died from impact wearing light armor because I was going so fast in the air so you can't tell me that's not a factor. I always have a jump pack with me and usually the machine gun so I can reload mid-air. For bots I always wear the enforcer armor

Jump pack vet here, I've had the excessive ragdoll issue intermittently in light armor. I always release spacebar at the apex of my jumps.
Hmmm, I couldn't get it to show up after about 50 jumps. I also release the forward key and press back as I touch down.
@LtBuzzLitebeer I tried releasing forwards, but it didn't seem effective, even when I wasn't experiencing the bug. I will say, however, that ragdolling is hilarious and I love it.

I personally find the jetpack ragdolling hilarious.
An easy solution to the Jump Pack Problem is to simply stop holding "W" key just before landing or Left stick. My first experience I was wearing light armor on the Urban maps just jumping down a empty street & my Helldiver would slip on his shoe laces every time he landed while holding forward. I don't think armor types play a part because it would happen to me no matter the armor I was wearing. I did do my testing on Urban maps down empty streets to limit obstacles & to keep the testing environment the same. Constant movement just before landing appears to be the problem.
They should allow us to have a slot dedicated to a melee weapon and upgrade our weapons, support weapons and armor.
They can even do it similarly to the Super Destroyer upgrading system to use samples as an example. However, due to many weapons constantly getting added on to the game, they could be a little merciful and reduce the cost for upgrading them.
• Increased Reload Speed
• Increased Ammo Per Magazine
• +1 Magazine Capacity
• Damage Increase
• Jet Pack Cooldown/Distance
• Energy Weapon Heat Reduction
• Arc Weapon Chain +1 or 2
I like to imagine that if we have an option to upgrade armor, we can put a total of six with the major one being an extra effect on a set of armor from existing sets or do research to unlock new effects:
• Increase Armor
• Increase Stamina
• Increase Stamina Regeneration
• +1 Stim
• +1 Throwable
• [Add Armor Perk]
Researchable perk that gives a +1 Stim and Throwable called "Ready For Anything!".
Or another where, when you're in the vicinity of samples, it'll show it on the mini map called "Tactical Sample Acquiring."
Taking limb damage in a firefight has a chance to proc an affect where the Hell Diver's stamina rapidly regens, ignores limb damage with increased speed for a few seconds to allow the player to run away called "Liberty, Save Me!".
I want to see factions, a player hub (possibly on the DSS), armor/weapon coloring, co-operative tanks, and more human spacefaring vessels (like, replace destroyers with corvette, make player vessels upgradeable to Destroyer/Frigate/Cruiser-class ships (maybe make tiers of stratagems which are only deployable on "such and such" ship class, because firing a weapon of that size/type would force your ship out of low orbit/off target, or cause visible damage to the ship when you return from the mission after using X stratagem without the right gun mount/ship class).
I know they're probably in the process of working at least some of these ideas into the game, and it'll probably be a while before we see them released, but it'll be awesome when they do.
As for the ragdolling with the jumpack, I've found that I ragdoll very frequently when I'm moving with a lot of momentum. As you get better with the jumpack, you find ways to move with high momentum often which is both useful an very satisfying to me. Holding "S" as I landed solved this, but at the cost of lots of speed and it just doesn't feel good anymore. I used to bring the pack a lot, but I've been bringing other things instead lately. I hope they fix this.
Right at Christmas is a bad idea because people gotta spend time with family so atleast half of the players will be missing that day.
I love playing designated driver, bring a couple area control orbitals and eagles, a jump pack for survival and a car, to just shuttle my team from one objective to the next.
I love the cluster bomb for chaff clearing! Most of my loadout is focussed on larger enemies, but I'm always taking cluster bombs to bugs or squids
I have 2 thoughts as to the Christmas thing, the devs wouldn’t want to interrupt the divers family time on Christmas. But at the same time the enemies of super earth would know Christmas is a day of rest for most, so they could push with less resistance 😬
What I would love to see is a siege mode or assault mode where bots,bugs etc spawn inside a base at extreme numbers and defend the base at all costs and you have to push in much like capture the flag and hold multiple areas kinda like the base defense modes they have for divers right now it would be fun to have a reverse mode where you have to assault a heavily guarded base with multiple tiers.
I'm pretty happy with the FRV so far. Only thing that sucks is when pelican drops it on a rock and it flips over, would be nice to be able to do a team flip over of the vehicle.
The jumpback bug is kinda amazing imo. I enjoy jumping next to a random and slipping in front of them. But i understand the frustration

Grapple Hook wrist launcher(1handed like the directional shield?) to mount large foes or climb stuff.
I typically only wear medium armor and I get the ragdoll issue with the jump pack even on flat terrain but on console letting go of the movement stick of pulling back seems to slow down the momentum to prevent ragdolling
I don't even need a tank, I just wanna pick the turret weapon on the FRV. The new anti-tank cannon could be amazing for driving around fighting heavy targets, or the stalwart for spraying groups of voteless/bugs.
We need a haul trailer to pull behind the FRV.
Pulling turrets or a mech behind you with a drop hitch button so you could drop the trailer.

there is a glitch with FRV, (the car) and jump pack, (maybe you know about it) but if you have someone run you over with the car and hold the jump button for the packs activation without moving, as the car hits you and the packs thrusts ends(or begins, i need more testing to see ) you will launch the car with your buddy really far away, its funny as hell and a little fun. PLUS new tech with car, drive into the traitor zone, get traitor, and then chase bugs or bot with your own free barrage :) happy hunting

For me, I was rag-dolling with light and medium armor while using the jet pack. The work around i found to work was not using the direction keys while landing. Wait till the feet touch solid ground then start moving. Not game breaking but annoying when you are trying to use the pack for speed and evasion. Also i find the manual driving mechanics of the vehicle to be unnecessary, and adds too much mechanical difficulty. When m y squad and i use it, its to get out of a hot spot and fast.
Something i would love to see, is bonus' or buffs to certain armor classes paired with certain weapons and support weapons. Maybe light armor will benefit from a damage buff or recoil handing buff when using light weapons such as SMG's and side arms. Heavy armor getting a buff when using heavy machine guns and rocket launchers. and medium armor getting a buff for using shotguns, rifles, etc. I may be in the minority for something like this, but it would add a role dynamic to squads. Maybe light armor users can get some additional stealth benefits. and maybe heavy armor can get some ability to attracts enemy attention away from teamats. just a thought.
I love the jet pack when I’m stuck in a pinch when I definitely should have died has saved me countless times. Ever since the change though (it maybe a skill issue) even if I attempt to not fall over or rag doll I still manage to find myself on the ground it seems random and unintentional and never consistent regardless of the armor I equip. The result of the change I find myself using the jet pack less and less because of how it feels now compared to before. I hope they make a change to the state of the jet pack to make it feel better cause right now it hurts my brain to use.
With having to fight on three different fronts once the Illuminate start more consistent attacks, Arrowhead should release HD2 on Xbox for the additional Helldiver reinforcements
I think the "New Factions" are going to start with heavily evolved nids coming from the fogged over sectors. Like, bioforms with mounted, biological weapons, bipeds, etc. its been cooking since Merida, i bet thats what comes next.
As for melee weapons, I want an entrenching tool, a bayonet charge mechanic, and a sabre, be it energy or chain in style. And bring on a siege breaker walker, with a big drill and a heavy flammemwerfer.
Hopefully they give out the Killzone stuff to the rest of players. My buddy hopped back on to get it. He hasn't played in months YET was given the Constitution.
The Constitution day stuff was specifically set so new and returning players would get it, might not have been intentional as they were trying to recover from the backlash over the Killzone shop item fiasco, I imagine they'll probably do something about that if only to avoid any further backlash.
I was wearing Light armor last night and not only getting the rag dolling but also not getting as much vertical lift as I recall and it was very difficult to get on top of rock formations and buildings...

i want the lance to be optional between a melee attack or a throwing mode. when holding it hold down reload and it have option between melee or throw and if throw is picked you can aim and throw it and it should one tap anything medium and below. once thrown you have to go back and pick it up. if hitting something above medium if it doesn’t do enough damage to kill the enemy it hits the enemy then falls off of them so the player can pick it back up.
my two cents here about melee weapons.
Power Sword and the ballistic shield needs to have a shield bash function.
Shield should protect from so melee damage as well it literally only blocks bullets. Missiles and melee hurt you

With illuminate here, the next logical choice for AH is to bring back the boss fights. Each faction had a MASTER, that you had to buy into to face off with. Defeating them granted the most influence towards the war in rhat sector but I'm sure it would be planet to planet this time. In the first game the master levels were small, like the hold out missions, but imagining fighting rhe master in the new level scale would be awesome.
I’d love to see a larger two handed melee weapon like a warhammer or a Zweihänder. Would fit really well with some of the more knight themed heavy armors. Would also love to see the ballistic shield, at the least, made to block at least some level of melee damage from bots, bugs, and squids
