    Excellent coverage of the entire build! I watched all 21 videos. You are an excellent resource for these older ski boats. I appreciate your info and grass roots awareness of why everything works. You point out tips on how to do things at all the right times.

    Ron, first off I have worked on stuff like this my whole life have even replaced stringers before. Been in the auto body trade for forty years. To make a long story short I ended up with a 1988 American skier. Looking for other brand didn't know how good these boats were! Dumb Luck. You do a great job explaining every step you know your stuff!!! I started at the transom repair and this weekend should be reinstalling the front section of floor after repairing stringers. When I say what a great help you have been and the time you saved me at the guess work I don't even know how to thank you!!! I have not started buying parts yet but when I do it will be from skiboatpartsonline.com. Once again can't thank you enough you turned work into a fun project for me. Buy the way the Rare Bird project looked great!!!! Keep up the good work!!!

    Ron, What a beautiful restoration on a beautiful boat. I laughed at your comment "It was scary fast." I found your channel after my wife asked "Do you think we can get a 1990 Mastercraft 190?" Since I'm into anything with a motor, it was like saying "Squirrel!" We're going to look at it this weekend. Love the channel. You're a natural teacher. All the best.

    Nice job Ron. In 1989 I bought an 89 advance deco promotional boat from you for the awsa tournaments. It was a great boat, sold it to a buddy for had it another 25 years. I saw it’s for sale now on Facebook marketplace near Manhattan Illinois. Everyone always loved the interior. Loved the removable rear middle seat.

    Really looks like new. I'm sure the owner was more than happy with this boat. It would be interesting to run across this boat in the water some day. I can't tell you how much I love these boats for there true function. I'm ready to run the course with mine as soon as the weather is right. Star gazer perfect pass is new for my boat just to take some of the work out of driving through the course.
    Again Ron, Thanks for all you do as well as Team TRD.

    A beautiful restoration with much attention to detail. I found your channel after seeing a 1986 American Skier Advance for sale here in New York. I was not familiar with the brand so Mr. Google brought you to my attention. Your videos have many helpful tips and are well produced. I'm looking forward to viewing the next one.

    Ron great job! I'd be curious to the number of hours on put into this rebuild? If you redo another windshield, I'd like to see how you redid that.

    Great job Ron! Did it have 2 speedometers from the factory? My Sierra Supreme just has the one speedometer. I assume its for competition accuracy?

    • @rontanis1024
      @rontanis1024  5 років тому

      Yes, all AWSA Tournament Approved Ski Boats had redundant speedo's, the Ski Supreme Comp & TS boats did as well

    • @frog12650
      @frog12650 5 років тому

      Supra Comp and related also had dual speedos.
      Those new GPS speedos make life a bit easier, I think.

      That boat would hold 2 or 3 footers at 42.

    What’s the estimate cost for a restoration like this ?

    • @rontanis1024
      @rontanis1024  5 років тому

      That would depend on rather or not you'd need an engine and just how much work your boat would need.
