Having owned a Maxum before getting a Malibu response LXI myself, I would also the central ski pylon which means the boat gets pulled around less by a strong skier and the rope doesnt get tangled up as easily. Steering is lighter too.
Fantastic video. Really well explained. I considered myself quite knowledgeable about most boating aspects but your video pointed out at least three points I hadn’t considered before. Great edit. Well done.
They probably exaggerated it to make it easy to see for those that are not familiar with them. Only thing better about sterndrive or outboard is backing the boat up
Just one of these videos it'd be nice if they trimmed the damn stern drive all the way down before planing it. The bow rise is not near that exaggerated
Yes it is. Ive exclusively skiied behind, and pulled skiiers with stern drive boats. With heavier skiiers getting up on one ski, I usually have to stand up in the boat to see over the bow. The steering gets sloppy and the boat feels unstable.

you would be surprised. its really not exaggerated quite a number of sterndrives do have bow rise like this.

Stern drives are notoriously expensive to keep working
Very informative
Nice touch raising the outdrive so the bow raises even more on the stern drive boat. A little biased here??
Did notice one huge flaw in all those boats regarding saftey and thats the good looking girls causing all sorts of fuckery
