A ran into a plaster ceiling repairing a ceiling leak from a faulty upstairs shower head connection. Only issue is I didn’t find wood behind the plaster. It was a metal looking fence with tiny diamonds. This metal is the whole width of the ceiling. I wonder if that blade will work on that

Make sure there are no wires or floor joists before you cut.
Nicely done. If you have access from above it may be of benefit to cut the lath from the attic side, to keep from cracking adjacent plaster keys.
