This was the first video I ever watched that didn’t mess with my dyslexia. Kudos to you for flipping the camera! I nailed it on my third go and was actually ready to leave on time, for once. Great job!
I'm in a community theatre production this weekend where the tying & removal of the ascot is a big part of switching characters - thanks for the simplified 'big neck' tie!
Thanks for guiding very well. Both the methods are good but I think first one keeps you more tide while the other one is quite simpler and easy. My preference is the first method.
I like the first look better. Your shirt is fresh. The ascot goes good with that coat too. I don't see myself wearing an ascot though. Great video. Your nails are great.
Thanks! I love this shirt, but I need to have it tailored some for a better fit. The ascot is definitely an acquired taste. Thanks so much for watching!
It originates from England. Ascot is close to Windsor. There is also a Windsor knot , which is similar, but goes sideways through, instead of 2nd part through and down
It has been about 2 years now that I watched your how to tie a tie video and I got to say you’re one amazing guy seriously you saved lives with your ties, not an event goes by when people notice my tie and how unique they come out
I have just received a couple of Ascot's that I purchased online, I came across your excellent video, I much prefer your first example, like you I only have a 15-1/2 collar size so it is ideal for me, thank you for your great demonstration.
Blessings to you all Linwood dear!! My late uncle/Dad (he practically raised me) was a very dapper guy. His absolute favorite tie was the ascot!!! I love ascots! So I think I’ll incorporate this in my style!!! Love the video always!!!!🙌🏽🙇🏽♀️🙇🏽♀️❤️❤️
Thanks for the solid, clear and precise instructions. In answer to your question: I utterly hate neckties and bowties. Yet for some peculiar reason I find ascots cool. In any case, the late actor Peter Cushing played a character in one of his films, who wore an ascot with a tan sports jacket and I found the ensemble to be my style and decided on the spot to recreate the entire costume; ascot and all.
"COOL", I'M ABOUT TO WEAR AN ASCOT TO MY COMPANY'S CHRISTMAS PARTY, THIS SUNDAY!!! I CONSIDER MYSELF "VERY" STYLISH AND JUST WANTED TO PUT PEOPLE ON TO SOMETHING "NEW" (SORT OF) AND DIFFERENT, BESIDES WEARING A BOW TIE, "AWESOME", GREAT TUTORIAL!!!
I have a neck of the same size as yours but most of the Ascot that I use are actually silk scarves, you can get cheap second-hand and good quality; The type of knot, four in hand or simple, depends on the length of the scarve. I prefer the four in hand for the same reasons as you explain but some of my silk scarves are not long enough to do it.
I know this is for ascots and men, but I have a scarf addiction n I ur suggestions to tie my scarves. It look great when I wear my blazers at work. Maybe you can get your wife to show how women can tie their scarf around their neck. I love the videos with you n your wife. Do u just wake up you got that morning voice going on?
Hi Linwood, just found your awesome channel! Until now the Eldridge Knot was my favourite! I have a question, do you know of a website that offers custom ties? I’m looking for ties which are light in colour, but with black trim on the edges. Thanks.
Yes! I cannot stand a flat lazy ascot. This! This is how you tie and wear an ascot! I would also like to encourage those (who like myself) have a big/longer beard to give the ascot a try. It really goes well with a nice larger beard.
2 things, 1, this was filmed first thing in the morning, so my voice was MUCH deeper, and 2, since my audience here is primarily male, they seem to appreciate a more calm demeanor... so you know, give the people what they want and all! 😂 Thanks for watching dear!
WhoSeesThis good answer because I was like 🤷🏾♂️ mine too. My voice is wayyyy higher though so when I call someone in the morning they think I’m crank calling
I like both ways, but the first way, I like because it gives a more full puffer look. Rather than having a sinking in look and unraveling over moving around a lot. I like the second tie, because it's simple and easy to tie. Overall both ways is good
I’m not sure if you will see this as the video is a bit old. But do you think I could tie a man’s ascot on a five year old boys neck? He wants to be a vampire for Halloween and I thought a little ascot on him would be cute but I’m only finding them in men’s sizes! Thanks! 🖤
Too busy swooning to take in info (but also instruction way better than any other neckcloth/tie vids I’ve seen, actually thinking abt viewer / teaching)
thanks dear,
gone through millions of videos until finally I found yours and Michael's are the best explained 👍🏼
This was the first video I ever watched that didn’t mess with my dyslexia. Kudos to you for flipping the camera! I nailed it on my third go and was actually ready to leave on time, for once. Great job!
Agreed. Flipping the video is a real help. I have watched 4 videos on this subject, and this is the best one!
Super helpful! I love that you mirrored the video too. Thank you
Fantastic, second method was very easy and simple.
I'm getting ready for a wedding now, this was very helpful 🙏🏾. Love all the way from Haiti 🇭🇹
Thanks bro! I appreciate you!

Where you been bro. I enjoy watching your videos but havent seen any recent.
I hope all is well, God bless.

Thumbs up for reversing the video. So smart!

Absolutely needed the jacket it wasn’t optional lol. Thanks for the demonstration 👊🏾
This video was perfect for me now I can confidently tie an Ascot for New Years celebration.
Thanks so Much
AaronD
My joy! Thanks for watching and commenting, Aaron!
Thanks so much for posting this video, man. I'm going to a Bridgerton themed party and had no idea how to tie an ascot.
It originates from England. Ascot is close to Windsor. There is also a Windsor knot , which is similar, but goes sideways through, instead of 2nd part through and down
The first knot will be the one I go with....I like the fullness😊
This is perfect! Thank you for making this video. I need to wear an ascot for a theater production and this is exactly what I need to know.

My man! Just got my first ascot and can't wait to wear it. Thanks for the video.
This is one of the best one. Thank You sir.
Beautifully done!! Best one out there!
This is perfect. Had to wear one to a steampunk wedding, and I didn't know how to tie it. Thanks again!
Wonderful, third video I had tried, the flipped image made that so easy to follow, along with lovely clear instructions, bravo!
Super technique ! Jusqu'ici la meilleure que j'ai vu 😃👌
Thank You Very Much !
Thx man !!! From Nepal 🇳🇵 with love ❤️
Thank you! This was so helpful!
I'm happy to see you back. I see this, yeah man!
Seriously I need to get an ascot or twelve. Just have something to up my neck accessory game.
Thanks so much! They can definitely be a great way to dress things up and still have a unique look about you!
Gratzi Mille….Great job! I’m a fancy man and I found this to be perfecto! Arriverdverci…
Thank you very much. This is exactly what I've been looking for about ten years. Bless you.
My mom bought me an ascot pin and you post a video about ascots? I'm seeing signs everywhere xD Great video 👍
Thanks! Definitely signs everywhere! Thanks for watching!
Thanks so much for sharing, it was so simple to explore.
I needed this 18 and a half inch neck getting married you just saved my outfit
Maaaaan im gkad you're back i have been needed some new tie knots from you.
Thanks bro! I appreciate you!

The 1st way is a lot better thanks for sharing.
My joy! Thanks for watching!
Great video. I’ve watched two other people’s videos and this is the first I really understood.
Это лучшее видео про аскот, которое я смотрел. Спасибо!

BRAVO WELL EXPLAINED!
I look fabulous!!!
Great Job, Cupcake. Luv the video! I have an 18.5 inch neck... Going with the 2nd option.
Great video, thanks, method 1 for me, dont want it to loosen, thx

Yup, this is my voice every morning, it takes about an hour or so before the range of it expands. Alison isn't huge on scarves, but I can always ask!
WhoSeesThis Maybe your bestie Makeup Menaree can do a callabo video since your wife doesn’t really care for scarves.
Looks good my brother! I like the first method and the full look! I hope you’ll do more videos soon!!
Thanks! I definitely need to, as it cools down some I’ll be wearing ties more, so that will help out considerably!
I loveeeeee your videos😍😍. I wished that I had found your videos earlier but I am really glad I did 😄 and remember you are fancy 🤩
VERY INFORMATIVE, CLEAR CONCISE, FIRST RATE !
Merci pour cette technique. Combien de fois allons -nous réciter le voeu sur l'eau ?
Looking good Lenwood.
That's sharp man. I recently purchased my first ascot; it's light green and yellow with a paisley design...silk also! This helps me tie this ascot.
Been forever since you posted a vid and it's still good
Thanks a million!

I absolutely love it.aia just learned what this is called and now I know how to tie it
That Shirt and Sport coat is hard 😊
Thanks! Thanks for watching!
great tutorial definitely like the first knot better, I commonly use the second knot
Thank you! This is a great video. Getting ready for a wedding. I'm adding a pin/button. any recommendations on how to do that?
first method is smooth i wonder if before the final step I can just leave it without going under the last movement???
Yea! First comment. Love your vids.
Thanks so much! Thanks for watching!
The legend is back 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks for the love bro!
You have a voice that would sound great in a movie narration.
Thanks you ….. you saved the day
Brother, I love your style.
Thank you so much! Thanks for watching!
Where did u buy that black and white skirt? Its very beautiful. I need to have that 😍
Nice vid Linwood! What's up with the change in your speech and pitch? You should be filming this at The Ritz. 😂

WhoSeesThis good answer because I was like 🤷🏾♂️ mine too. My voice is wayyyy higher though so when I call someone in the morning they think I’m crank calling
Where can I find Ascot, Cravat and thin silk or polyester ties to practice fancy tieing at home...😁
What tie knot do you recommend for the fourth of July?
easy way to tie, thanks for sharing
I like both ways, but the first way, I like because it gives a more full puffer look. Rather than having a sinking in look and unraveling over moving around a lot. I like the second tie, because it's simple and easy to tie. Overall both ways is good
Fantadtic help sr,thankyou
My pleasure! Thanks for watching!

Thank you my man.
Thanks!! You did a good job!
On the "thick neck" version you can also tie a little knot in the inside blade and it will stay in place.
What is that shirt called been looking all over for one
Oh my god, his voice 😍😍😍
Missed you bro 💜
Thanks so much John! I appreciate you!
Too busy swooning to take in info (but also instruction way better than any other neckcloth/tie vids I’ve seen, actually thinking abt viewer / teaching)
Looks good.
