Very good illustration.. I like your 1st method the most... I've tried the 2nd method before not really knowing what I was doing. I agree that it does come loose that I don't like.
This was the first video I ever watched that didn’t mess with my dyslexia. Kudos to you for flipping the camera! I nailed it on my third go and was actually ready to leave on time, for once. Great job!
It has been about 2 years now that I watched your how to tie a tie video and I got to say you’re one amazing guy seriously you saved lives with your ties, not an event goes by when people notice my tie and how unique they come out
I have just received a couple of Ascot's that I purchased online, I came across your excellent video, I much prefer your first example, like you I only have a 15-1/2 collar size so it is ideal for me, thank you for your great demonstration.
It originates from England. Ascot is close to Windsor. There is also a Windsor knot , which is similar, but goes sideways through, instead of 2nd part through and down
I like the first look better. Your shirt is fresh. The ascot goes good with that coat too. I don't see myself wearing an ascot though. Great video. Your nails are great.
Thanks! I love this shirt, but I need to have it tailored some for a better fit. The ascot is definitely an acquired taste. Thanks so much for watching!
Thanks for guiding very well. Both the methods are good but I think first one keeps you more tide while the other one is quite simpler and easy. My preference is the first method.
I'm in a community theatre production this weekend where the tying & removal of the ascot is a big part of switching characters - thanks for the simplified 'big neck' tie!
Thank you for the video I was looking for a way to give more volume to the cravat. The standard way would always fall down and I would constantly have to adjust it.
Blessings to you all Linwood dear!! My late uncle/Dad (he practically raised me) was a very dapper guy. His absolute favorite tie was the ascot!!! I love ascots! So I think I’ll incorporate this in my style!!! Love the video always!!!!🙌🏽🙇🏽♀️🙇🏽♀️❤️❤️
"COOL", I'M ABOUT TO WEAR AN ASCOT TO MY COMPANY'S CHRISTMAS PARTY, THIS SUNDAY!!! I CONSIDER MYSELF "VERY" STYLISH AND JUST WANTED TO PUT PEOPLE ON TO SOMETHING "NEW" (SORT OF) AND DIFFERENT, BESIDES WEARING A BOW TIE, "AWESOME", GREAT TUTORIAL!!!
Thanks for the solid, clear and precise instructions. In answer to your question: I utterly hate neckties and bowties. Yet for some peculiar reason I find ascots cool. In any case, the late actor Peter Cushing played a character in one of his films, who wore an ascot with a tan sports jacket and I found the ensemble to be my style and decided on the spot to recreate the entire costume; ascot and all.
Hi Linwood, just found your awesome channel! Until now the Eldridge Knot was my favourite! I have a question, do you know of a website that offers custom ties? I’m looking for ties which are light in colour, but with black trim on the edges. Thanks.
I have a neck of the same size as yours but most of the Ascot that I use are actually silk scarves, you can get cheap second-hand and good quality; The type of knot, four in hand or simple, depends on the length of the scarve. I prefer the four in hand for the same reasons as you explain but some of my silk scarves are not long enough to do it.
I’m not sure if you will see this as the video is a bit old. But do you think I could tie a man’s ascot on a five year old boys neck? He wants to be a vampire for Halloween and I thought a little ascot on him would be cute but I’m only finding them in men’s sizes! Thanks! 🖤
Yes! I cannot stand a flat lazy ascot. This! This is how you tie and wear an ascot! I would also like to encourage those (who like myself) have a big/longer beard to give the ascot a try. It really goes well with a nice larger beard.
I like both ways, but the first way, I like because it gives a more full puffer look. Rather than having a sinking in look and unraveling over moving around a lot. I like the second tie, because it's simple and easy to tie. Overall both ways is good
Very good illustration.. I like your 1st method the most... I've tried the 2nd method before not really knowing what I was doing. I agree that it does come loose that I don't like.
thanks dear,
gone through millions of videos until finally I found yours and Michael's are the best explained 👍🏼
This was the first video I ever watched that didn’t mess with my dyslexia. Kudos to you for flipping the camera! I nailed it on my third go and was actually ready to leave on time, for once. Great job!
Agreed. Flipping the video is a real help. I have watched 4 videos on this subject, and this is the best one!

Thanks so much for posting this video, man. I'm going to a Bridgerton themed party and had no idea how to tie an ascot.
It originates from England. Ascot is close to Windsor. There is also a Windsor knot , which is similar, but goes sideways through, instead of 2nd part through and down
Super helpful! I love that you mirrored the video too. Thank you

My man! Just got my first ascot and can't wait to wear it. Thanks for the video.
Thumbs up for reversing the video. So smart!
Thanks for guiding very well. Both the methods are good but I think first one keeps you more tide while the other one is quite simpler and easy. My preference is the first method.
The first knot will be the one I go with....I like the fullness😊

Thanks! Definitely signs everywhere! Thanks for watching!
Thank you very much. This is exactly what I've been looking for about ten years. Bless you.
Wonderful, third video I had tried, the flipped image made that so easy to follow, along with lovely clear instructions, bravo!
Это лучшее видео про аскот, которое я смотрел. Спасибо!
The 1st way is a lot better thanks for sharing.
My joy! Thanks for watching!
Great video. I’ve watched two other people’s videos and this is the first I really understood.
What tie knot do you recommend for the fourth of July?
Great video, thanks, method 1 for me, dont want it to loosen, thx
Thanks so much for sharing, it was so simple to explore.

Thanks so much Aurielle! If you do, let me know how it works out for you!
Been forever since you posted a vid and it's still good
Thanks a million!
That's sharp man. I recently purchased my first ascot; it's light green and yellow with a paisley design...silk also! This helps me tie this ascot.
Great Job, Cupcake. Luv the video! I have an 18.5 inch neck... Going with the 2nd option.
first method is smooth i wonder if before the final step I can just leave it without going under the last movement???
I needed this 18 and a half inch neck getting married you just saved my outfit
I tuned out when I saw your nails
Brother, I love your style.
Thank you so much! Thanks for watching!
