That instrument that solos throughout may sound like a guitar, but it is actually an organ with a fuzz/distortion box run through it, giving it that guitar-like sound. It’s so cool
The Canterbury scene and beyond.... Caravan, Soft Machine, Hatfield and the North, Camel, National Health, Matching Mole, Gong etc. Plenty to dip into.
I give you a ton of credit tackling such an obscure rock band with one of their epics. When I typed in UA-cam's search for a reaction to a Caravan song I was shocked to see this. Again, props for doing this, I bow to you!
Ah, Caravan. it's just a lovely place to be. So Rural and English and kind of powerfully creative. Richard Sinclair is your bass man, also with Camel latterly. Also the vocalist....
I know this reaction didn't "blow up" with views, but I KNOW you will love any number of their other, shorter pieces, especially "Winter Wine" as well as others I could name. Check it out.
This was made in the 70s, before Eminem even existed, I think!.. Wonderful track, so glad you liked it! You've been trained already I think to be able to listen to long songs, from the likes of Pink Floyd and Jethro Tull, etc... Or any other proggy bands I might have missed,!!
Ian Mcgrath check out their other tracks.. I have their 'best of' compilation album but I haven't heard much else yet! Here's a playlist : Top Tracks - Caravan: ua-cam.com/play/PLjemnZCovsewQQTUfEGXEMa_PfPfgEOy3.html
@@theshark7647 Hi,what i would do is go to Tres community part and that will give yo his email address to send your requests,i send Tre donations to for requests through Paypal, hope that helps,as it a wonderful channel he has with all honest reactions.
Here are some more Canterbury related songs to check out at some point (whether for reaction vids or just on your own to hear some new music): Caravan: Cecil Rons; Place of My Own; Where But for Caravan Would I?; And I Wish I Were Stoned/Don’t Worry; For Richard; Winter Wine; In The Land of Grey and Pink; Waterloo Lily; C’thlu Thlu; A Hunting We Shall Go; Dabsong Conshirtoe. National Health: Tenemos Roads; Elephants; Dreams Wide Awake. Khan: Space Shanty; Driving to Amsterdam; Stargazers. Quiet Sun: Sol Caliente; Mummy was an Asteroid Daddy was a Small Non-Stick Kitchen Utensil. Gilgamesh: Notwithstanding; Darker Brighter; Underwater Song. Gong: Fable of a Fredfish; Gong Song; I’ve Bin Stone Before; Fohat Digs Holes in Space; Tropical Fish/Selene; Radio Gnome Invisible; Pothead Pixies; Flute Salad/Oily Way/Outer Temple/Inner Temple; I Never Glid Before; Master Builder; Sprinkling of Clouds; Isle of Everywhere; Bambooji; Golden Dilemma; Kaptial; Through Restless Seas I Come; The Elemental. Egg: Fugue in D Minor; Germ Patrol; Enneagram.
Try 100% proof by the same band. It’s an outtake and really just a jam session. Similar to this track but with respect to Pye , Richard had the better voice and he sings on the track I mentioned. The lyrics are better too, and some flute.
You really would benefit from some good quality over the ear headphones and selecting the best possible audio source to react to. I am really familiar with this track and does not sound good here. This type of music is best when you hear it all lows, mids and highs. MP3s don't get it.

Dave Sinclair! Such a spectacular musician.
Caravan! Now we’re talking! What a fantastic band, and what a fantastic song. One of the great prog epics.

Hatfield and the North - Mumps
In The Land Of Grey And Pink their best album. The first track is a bit naff but rest is superb.
