Brussels sprouts DO taste better these days compared to when we were kids, and not just because of cooking them differently. Through the power of selective breeding they've managed to improve the flavour.

The brussel sprouts are also great with a drizzle of balsamic glaze. Also, most of the older generations despised brussel sprouts as kids because they DID taste terrible! Over the years, through selective breeding, they've bred out a lot of the bitterness, so they actually do taste better. We've also moved past the need to boil the ever loving shit out of every veggie- I get it, the Great Depression did food NO favors.
Maybe "Treat Day" is a better term? Like, I get what people say when they mean this cheat day stuff. For example, I can have about 2,500 calories and be in a good deficit. But, I also know a lot of good sizes pizzas are about that much in calories. Maybe a little more or less. So, if I'm really in the mood for it, and I have, I do knowing that while I may be okay for my calories for the day (if that's all I eat). I do know I'm not hitting protein or fiber goals or whatever. Not with some regular store bought pizza or Pizza Hut or whatever. So, I think that's kind of what he (and others) are saying. I get "cheat" isn't the best word. It's not the SATs, it's not my gf, it's just food. So, putting such a negative connotation on just eating, isn't the best idea. But I understand the overall sentiment that's being made. I hope that makes sense.
the only thing I don't like that Jamie said was "when you look better you feel better". as someone with BDD, my persepction of myself is constantly skewed. but, I know thats a personal issue. I just wish looks weren't so tied to self image, yknow?
Kinda sick of calisthenics... During covid I did like 1000 ish situps/week as many pushups (again ish) and worked out at a very spartan outdoor gym that had dips bar, pull up bar and a bar for deep pushups. When it was at it's peak I started my mornings by crying 10 minutes at the gym and then worked out 2-3 times/day to keep my sanity. Sure I was lean and jacked but at what cost? These days I can barely make myself to do calisthenics. I prefer the gym every day of the week and twice on Sundays!

Usually not a fan of Wallyworld in general, but these will cure a sweet craving pretty quickly, and keep me less caffeinated and more hydrated for 10 calories per liter.

You might already know this, but those "hooks" serve a big purpose, especially on YT. When things pop up in your recommended, you only get like a 30 second clip of the video. So, it behooves creators to do this. Especially, on a platform where revenue relies so much on engagement and viewer retention/watch time. I get it's frustrating, but I more blame YT itself than it's creators. They're just trying their best to make a living on a platform that does everything it can to screw them. As long as you're not putting literal clickbait/misinformation in the video or thumbnail or whatever, I'm pretty understanding of it. But maybe that's just me Shrug
