bro this is what ive been looking for for ages every lighting video ive looked at online is the very basic, generic studio tips that do not inspire creativity at all i been doing street style at fashion weeks and other small fashion brands locally in london but studio work always scared me - but this vid has given me the confidence to do some test shoots
Thank you so much for your content ! The first lighting setup is exactly what I was looking to create for my next shoot and I wasn't sure about the breakdown. Love your work & vibe!
I'm a winner for find you! I love your whole work, in this first video, I saw. I love you link your equipment in the description because I'm interest in this world. So thank you for all. Hi Ian, thanks for your video! I'll be shooting my first fashion catalog soon. Any advice on material I could use best? Currently I'd be working with 5D mark IV. Lens I'm guessing to aim for 24-70 / 70-200 or do you think it is better to work with a standard format like 35, 50, ...? Also any other tips I could work for? Thanks for your videos! I've learned a lot through them. Ps; Where I used to be at for my internship in photography last year my mentor loved your work and also followed a lot of your videos!
Hello Ian i would like to know if there is any other way to get background like this i have tried the way u show a lot of times and i cant achieve the loook
ah, see you've placed a reflector off to the side a bit, not sure how much that effected the shot but it's little details like that, that need to be mentioned. Beautiful work! Thanks for posting.
Hello Ian thanks for the great content ! Wonderful pictures ! Just to be sure, what tide filter did you use on the shooting , the subtle or the strong one ? Cause the link refers to the strong version but you're saying "subtle" throughout the video ? @IanHippolyte
@@ianhippolyte I also noticed that you also have a spare of Neewer flashes that can come handy for patches of light, would you mind sharing the references of these too ? Much appreciated Best
@@ianhippolyte no problem, would you have the watt power output they're able to deliver just to have a glimpse of idea compared to the 1000 watt Profoto D2

Hey Ian, I would like to personally thank you. You are showing what most of us would not be able to show because of our "fear". so : THANK YOU. I however have a very small question : Loved your set design about lights & was wondering how you were doing them? is it a website/software? I really would love to add this in my work for clients in order to make them understand that the light that I want to rent is useful aha. Love! -(RP)
Some quick tips: - Use black polyboards or V-Flats to stop light bouncing - Put black fabric on the floor in front of your subject to control light reflecting off the floor

Hi Ian, love your work ! One question, in studio why arn´t you working with mediumformat camras as Fujifilms GFX-systems or Hasselblad-systems ?
I just use what I have! In terms of image quality, I get plenty out of cameras like the Canon R5 or even my old trusty 5DM4.
Superb!
Always great content
I love those big gold earrings used in the black look. Any chance you could point me to where I could get a set
