Love how u get her melanin to pop so beautifully. I cant seem to find a proper tutorial for darker skin tones using only Lightroom. Would love your advice! Cheers
I think most of the work is in the lighting. To create really dramatic highlights contrasted with dark shadows. It gives the body and skin more dimension and emphasizes the bone structure
Heartbeatzofficial I've been reading some more on lighting and have learned some of the same. Have yet to see it in practice since I don't have a lighting system
Im always fascinated with editorial shots like this, and I want to understand more in terms of gear like how lens work and the lights as well. I know there are a lot of tutorials out there but i was hoping you can make one focused on shooting editorial style photos, that would be amazing! Love your work!
your video is really really useful, you make me realize lots of things about photography, lighting, etc. I dont know how to say, just feel so grateful now, thank you a lot, another way, I'll always follow you, your fan from vietnam ^^
I didn't even let a second go by without hitting the subscribe button. I knew this BTS video was going to be fire and I was right! Love this and keep it up!
Okay, I'm about to follow and watch more videos... that ending was Crazy with the fabric. and I'm going to try it. Hey, I was watching, and listening. @ 2:33 seconds is really where your video started to give important tips that I felt would be useful to the viewers. "Turn up to make it light, and go down to grey." but you glossed over it so fast we didn't get to see how that light affected the artwork. taking the time to Showing "us" those small details is just as important as the end result! wish you the best of luck! cant wait to watch more videos!
That soft house music in your intro made me subscribe right off the bat lol. On a more serious note, you are a REAL fashion photographer Ian I love your work. All these fake wannabe "models" running around here are nothing more than chicken heads looking for a free way out. You seem to put in some real work! LOVIN IT!
All the final photos are amazing! I love the lighting and especially the material at the end it works well bringing all stretches of the frame together! Amazing!
the power suit look is great :D great work Ian. the fill from the front fills in the shadows nicely on the suit but how did you avoid cast shadows from the model appearing on the mirrored floor from the overhead gridded light? trying to get the same clear, shadowless, mirrored reflection that you did....! NOTE: Im using glass for floor, not a mirror.
Amazing! Will you ever make a video where you explain all the synchronization aspects? (i mean like when you shoot, the lights flash and then you immediately see the photo on the laptop, like how do you do that) Thanks
You totally knocked this shot out of the park, respect. I loved how you used you Key light as a backlight in th first two set ups, where exactly was your front fill though as hard to tell from the video?
What are you using for your v flat type white and/or black modifiers on the sides. And where did you get those stands? You are very good. Love your photography.
your photographic skills is insane, and your onscreen persona on point, i predict your channel will blow up and you will be a one of the best new generation of photographers out there.
Wow thank you so much for this! I’ve taken great photos for friends via my iPhone but I’m so ready to break into high fashion, editorial scenes and make this my full time. Blessings to you friend ⭐️
Love that last look, very well done! Thank you for sharing your bts, that always makes the final images more interesting :) I would love to see more videos like this
