Great video! I would recommend getting Webman on your jailbroken PS3! Multiman is how I create my backups and I launch them with Webman. Webman is also great for monitoring the CPU and GPU temps and allowed for a more aggressive fan curve to keep those temps in check.

One tip for those getting buffer notification when on the xploit website and screen freezing up for me was I was auto set to be logged into the ps store so make sure you are logged out of that. Took me like an hour to figure out why would only creep along and that was my issue.

I was able to jailbreak mine despite the following warning:
"NOR dump must be patched with 4.xx Patchset to install CFW on this machine!"
According to someone in a forum, it's because my PS3 is only downgradable to 3.56 and must use a 4.xx "nofsm" patch. All went fine.

you make this way harder than it needs to be with all the checking
Symantics: this is not a jailbreak. That requires a USB dongle. This is a Custom Firmware, usually typed as CFW. Jailbreaking has not been needed for quite some time for the PS3.

@@keithgbricks Since I use ps3hen, I followed MrMario2011's video. It essentially turns the ISOs into a PKG file. I've played Haunting Ground, SW Battlefront, & Vice City with no issues

I did all the steps according to your video step by step, I can see the new logo on the Screen during the start up....but when I click X on the multiMAN to run the screen turns black and I have no icon at all. Also there is no new content on Playstore as you showing on your video at the main menu.

So due to Sony's news I wanted to install HEN on my PS3. I just started to look for information, I have a Super Slim Model CECH-4001B currently with 4.87 system. Think I am out of luck - Can I MOD my PS3 console in any way? I have several digital games none physical - not sure if buying more digital games with the CBOMB battery thing is even worth,? What you guys recommend me to do if I can't install HEN :(

thanks for the video i got it but i am having a hard time , making ps2 games and psp games work but i got the psx ones to work
This video is interesting, fortunately I know the old way we used to do on the psp using the tiff exploit and is much faster but has to be done everytime ps3 restarts due to its soft mod nature but on soft mod it's easy to apply a permanent firmware which limits the system I think. I prefer soft mods to perm/hard mods.
