There are e-fuses in the console that keep track of what version you have updated to. If you ever update, it blows the fuse and then you can never downgrade to a previous version. So it is impossible to downgrade your firmware on Ps4 (at least there's no known way around this, trust me hackers have tried so hard). This is why exploitable PS4s that have purposely not been updated go for inflated prices on eBay.

You have to use mobile hotspot data. I have had to use my mobile hotspot data for exploiting both my ps3 and ps4 something about using your isp doesn't work.

@@skiesohryu Yeah same, luckily you don't need the internet since your web browser should automatically open the page for you to insert your USB stick. Looks like rest mode is the way to go to avoid that process.

Thanks! Definitely look for one that is still on OFW 9.00. There's a lot of misinformation floating around on UA-cam right now claiming higher versions of OFW can be jailbroken. As of now, they can't. Definitely seek out 9.00.

The only firmwares still supported are 5.05, 6.72, 7.02, 7.55 and 9.00.

there's an easier way to flash that img file to a usb drive , you can use Win32 Disk Imager for that instead of slower Etcher
