Ooh that slippery snowball slope, reminds me of when I 20vt’d my mk3 golf vr6 many years ago, one thing led to another etc, lol. Loving this, nice one Dan.
Dan. Great video. Some engine deletes and relocations is going to be really interesting. Going so far and then stopping is right on the money for me. Please keep the detail/tutorial/walk-through type feel in the videos. That’s what sets this channel apart. Don’t need tight edits. Memphis is very good at this and getting the balance 👌.
Cheers bud, I don't want to go silly with it as I still want to be able to just jump in it, drive it and not worry about it. Just feels like it might be a missed opportunity slinging the engine in and not doing these extra bits. Aiming to still do it as a bit of a how to as I can't find a detailed one online.
Looking good so far Dan, when you first start these projects it seems very daunting and progress seems slow but when you get a plan together then it will start to move along, try not to think to far ahead mate as you will get overwhelmed and won't know where to turn next, good luck mate I'm looking forward to the next instalment 👍
Dan, for future reference; you don't really need the unsightly weight on top of the shift tower. It's only there for positive engagement when a granny is shifting gears in a lazy fashion.
Nice one mate. Regarding the alloy alternator/PAS bracket I've done the same with all my 1.8t conversions where I wasn't using Power Steering, just chopped it as you described - no issues whatsoever , much neater too
Dan, dont delete the panel across the back of the engine bay! I almost passed out and crashed a mk3 fiesta turbo that had that missing and i thought it was nbd. It is a big deal! Its like driving around with the exhaust pipe plumbed into the hvac if you have any leaks / breather issues. Danger!
Love the plan Dan.. you fitting an LSD? if not hope you have shares in a Tyre company! you mention Deleting the immobiliser, hope you are going to fit a ghost or something to KEEP the car safe when It's finished.
Cheers bud. Will do eventually but I want to focus on just getting back together and useable before I do upgrades like that. Will be fitting an alarm of some sort. Although the original Mk1 didn’t have an immobiliser
@@DanChambersDAC yeah I realize there was no immobiliser on the MK1,. My brother had a few mk1s,. The modded one he sold to a mate who had it a week before lowlife nicked it and left it stripped!!
I’m well pumped for this new direction. Are you looking as smoothing the engine bay and sticking the battery in the boot? Edit- just watched your vid, all questions answered 👍🏼
hey dan, I must have watched this 4-5 times now as im collecting parts for the same conversion in my cabby (also having to go from auto to manual) did you sell the throttle pedal and bracket? keep up the great vids, cheers, stu
@@DanChambersDAC No problem. If the car goes high enough on the ramp to get the engine slid under then you could then use the engine crane to pull lift the engine into position.
Yes mate love it. You can get carried away that's for sure haha. I'm basically doing the exact same but with a mk5 R32. I did remove my exhaust hanger to relocate and cleaned up the tunnel so the selector fits flush. @77gls_r32
When is the next Fiesta video too much Golf content 🤣🤣 only joking keep up the good work, don't speak VAG so most of what your saying doesn't make sense but Turbo power can only be good 👍
Hiya Dan, I subscribe to your channel but I cannot get notifications for the life of me. I try hitting the bell and it always says error. You may be missing out on loads of views mate
Cheers bud, I think it’s because you are an OG subscriber. I changed a setting last year. Unsubscribe then resubscribe and it should let you activate notifications bud 👊

Yup. I can see it happening already 😂
Buttery smooth camera now Dan. Much appreciated 👍

Cheers bud, Yeah it is still feeling a little daunting TBF. Going to try and write a plan down next week so I can start ticking jobs off.

Ahh ok, Cheers Paul. I did wonder if it was really needed or not.

I am thinking of building a shroud that has a duct to the inside of the car so it just recirculates the cabin air
You should do a wire tuck on all the wiring in the engine bay. Give it that tidy look.👍
Cheers bud, That's the plan now 💪
Looks really interesting Dan. Can't wait to see this progress. 👍👍👍
Thank you bud, me either!
Brilliant update really looking forward to see the progress, you answered everything I was thinking as video went on 👍🏻
Cheers bud, Glad you enjoyed it. Sure I forgot to talk about something!
Totally epic Dan… the energy is up and the project is on fire 🔥 😎👍✅✅
Thank you bud! Got some real energy for the build now 💪
Dan I'm excited for this one it's going to be a cracking car 👍👍
Thank you bud, Hopefully I can pull it off!
Two words: NEVARLOSE 👍Glad you're feeling your mojo again.
Cheers bud, Defo back with it.
Hello Dan a great job perfect 👍👍👍greeting from Germany 🇩🇪 👋👋👋Kai🛠🙏

It's gonna be good Dan nice one 👌👌

This is going to be so cool!!

Good lad! I wanna do the same swap on my Mk1 Caddy as my abf swap isn’t enough power for me! 🤣
Cheers bud, Yeah I did consider ABF conversion but figured BAM would be better.
love it, cant wait!
Thank you!
Dont take that panel out… its got the vin on it & without it the vents in bonnet will allow rain onto engine & into heater
I was going to put the vin elsewhere. I am not planning on driving it in the rain! Not after all of this hard work 😂
I’m well pumped for this new direction. Are you looking as smoothing the engine bay and sticking the battery in the boot? Edit- just watched your vid, all questions answered 👍🏼
Cheers bud! Yeah hoping for a nice clean bay.
You’re going to need a Limited Slip Differential with this.
Looking forward to the wiring video. Hopefully go into painful detail of it all. 😂
It won’t be massively involved bud. I just sent the looms away and they will come back as a plug n play loom.
@@DanChambersDAC I spotted the link to the loom guy after my comment and figured as much. Faster way about it for sure
Where did you sent it ?
One bit at a time Dan
Take it one job at a time
Dan. Awesome channel mate. I’m sure it’s been asked before but where did you have the steering column modifications done?
First i hit like. Then i watch.
Thank you so much bud.
A shaved/cleaner looking bay is going to be 🔥🔥 in this build, great to see you have your mojo back having had a break from the Golf 👍🏻
Cheers dude, Hopefully I can do what I have said now 😂
Why not put the gear linkage / tower inside the car? Then makes loads more room for the exhaust.
I want to keep the interior of the car original with the centre console in place. If I mount it inside the centre console wouldn't fit.
Are you going to do a wiring show how because I'm a bit stuck with my conversion in my vw t4 😁
Hopefully be showing something although I just paid to have the Golf & TT looms integrated into a plug n play loom.
HI, WHAT TRANSMISSION DID YOU USE? ARE YOU USING THE AUDI DRIVE SHAFTS OR DID YOU CUT THE MK1 ONES?
I am using an O2A gearbox. Shafts are original Mk1 with 100mm inner CV joints
hey dan, I must have watched this 4-5 times now as im collecting parts for the same conversion in my cabby (also having to go from auto to manual) did you sell the throttle pedal and bracket? keep up the great vids, cheers, stu
Dan what intercooler did you end up using any links ?
I just bought a universal kit off eBay. Knowing me would have been the first one that popped up 😂
Might be easier to drop the car on the engine rather than the other way round. Was the method I used on my old Mk1 Scirocco.
That's how they done it at the factory.....if you can get car high enough even without a lift ..for most cars this would be a no brainier 🤔
Cheers Jason. May be the way it goes in when it is painted. I will have to try and find something to sit the engine on.

😂😂😂 if you keep moaning about it I will sell the Fiesta 😂😂😂 the engine is currently mapped to 270hp 💪
