      I was at that show! It was one of the most intense situations I've ever been in. I had to remind myself to breathe because I was so entranced.

      The state theatre was the PERFECT setting to get the full experience of their magical artistry! I saw them again in a ruined castle in Sweden last summer and while it was another incredible experience, it lacked the intimacy and structure of the Minneapolis show. I've wondered if maybe our MN nice was the factor that brought the reverence to that show 😂 Cheers 🤘

    Some interesting points about Norway's political and religious history, which I didn't know about. As a Christian, I totally agree with Einar's criticism of the church and state not being separated. Christianity, when done properly, is about inviting everyone to learn about Jesus and live as he did without forcing its doctrines down their throats or destroying their heritage. If you choose to reject that invitation, I'll be sad but it's your choice and it should be respected.
    Additionally, history has shown that combining religion too much with politics is a bad idea.

    • @MagnusNords
      @MagnusNords Місяць тому +1

      What if the thus invited non-Christians genuinely care so deeply about you and your feelings that they would be willing to go so far as to completely and irreversibly sacrifice their normal way of life, heritage, identity, fundamental freedom(s), personal relationships, peace of mind, health, sanity, wellbeing, and inconceivably many more critically important stuff just so they could force themselves to accept this "invitation" aka indoctrination to join Christianity (or any other Abrahamic cult for that matter) since they wouldn't - under any circumstances - wish you to be sad due to their perfectly understandable, natural, and otherwise reasonable rejection of your Christian proposal (or whatever other similar religion, ideology, theocracy, society, civilization, etc. you may happen to proselytize)?

      We are humans, we are not worthy of religion of any kind, whether it's christianity or panagism or whatever else you can conjure up, NO ONE lives up to the requirements the way they should.

    a rly good thing, because in this period of epidemic and pandemic views, we need our lovely bands to calm down to face our problems, wardruna is for me a band like libra and help me a lot to focus the real problems in this time. And yes its right if he says, to do something for people isnt the same as to compensate for the people. To try to compensating for the people do open another problems that need to be compensating and thats is a fcking circle that has to be compensite xD

      I keep listening and re-listening to Kvitravn for that reason. It's such a powerful and yet calming album. it's sad Wardruna will never have a MASS appeal, because they definitely deserve it. They are amazing.

    They are not Nordic Folk. That implies historical accuracy, this music surely has a historic theme but is not representative of the genuine folk music of the Viking Era.
