    That happened to me once when I was a little kid. I woke up with my neck stuck to one side, it was so painful I was crying and I ran to my grandmother. She had no idea what to do so she grabbed my head and forced it straight really quickly and I screamed but it fixed it! This was in the early 70s so we didn't know any better. It worked though and she gave me a great neck massage afterwards.

      No way, this happened to me when I was 12, just woke up and it got stuck. Was excruciating. Had to go to school with it, I still remember the pain, felt like I'd broken my neck or something. Lasted weeks too, I think I just stretched it out myself over the weeks and it eventually got better. Still have pain in my neck to this day though it never completely left

    Oh man this is honestly hell. I used to get this every 4-6 months. One late night, one wrong move and bam, stuck neck for at least 3 weeks. Sometimes I've had it in my back and I'd be stuck in a 90 degree hunched position for 2-3 weeks, and no pain killers did anything for the pain at all. Doesn't happen so much now cos o stopped doing RSI type tasks, and i invested in an ortho mattress, and i make sure to always get a good night sleep. But man i suffered this for most of adolescent and really adult years, upto the age of 30.

    Very simple to fix. The stretching can also be done at home. Common cause being our crappy posture while sitting at a desk, causing super tight upper traps, levator, scalenes, and suboccipitals. Dry needling and heat help as well!

    I've been dealing with torticollis since mid September. I'm seeing my chiropractor regularly and it's slowly getting better. At one point the pain was so unbearable that I ended up in the ER. The ER Dr was a joke. He told me chiropractor care was nothing but a placebo effect and that I just needed a foam roller. After basically telling him I was leaving he eventually gave me a shot of steroid and pain med and a prescription for a muscle relaxer that didn't help. So thankful for amazing chiropractors that actually do help!😊

Between that and some INTENSE physical therapy (she basically gave me deep tissue massages in addition to lots of intense stretching) the torticollis is completely gone and has been for a few months. Praise the Lord! I was at the point, pain wise, that I was almost ready to try Botox or other toxic injections, pharmaceuticals. So thankful I was able to treat it naturally!

    I was born with torticollis. My mom never stretched me as a baby because when she would do the stretches I would scream so she stopped doing them all together because it made her sad to see me scream. Fast forward to 25 years old now & have had torticollis every single day of my life. Causes my head to tilt to left & my left shoulder higher up than my right shoulder. It lead to getting scoliosis in my back as well. Let me tell you it’s not fun at all. I still get asked to this day why you stand like that etc.. I heard it all, used to get made fun of for it in middle school & high school & it used to really bother me because I felt embarrassed about it because I just wanted to be normal. I pretty much finally excepted it at this point & know there is nothing I can do about it this late in life. I went to different chiropractor for years & still no results of anything changing. Every time I would go to different chiropractors I would always hear my neck & back were the tightest they ever had to worked on ( more than firefighters , military, cops , weight lifters , athletes etc.. I have heard it all ). Only thing I can do to fix it is surgery but definitely will not be doing that. The headaches & neck & back pain I have every day of my life is not fun at all hurts like hell. As I’m getting older the headaches are getting worse & I’m only 25. Never has stopped me from anything in life though from working in a warehouse for the last 7 year lifting heavy stuff all day , playing football , basketball & baseball. Only thing I can say I recently got into golf & that has been the biggest challenge up to date because I can’t get barely any rotation with a golf swing (never had that problem in baseball) but it just sucks because I’m to competitive in everything I do & I hate losing lol.

    This happened to me once. Out of nowhere I felt weird so I called my aunt and told her something was wrong. By the time she got to my house, I was screaming from the pain of my neck being stuck. There were no warning signs other than my body feeling weird. Then that’s when the spasm hit

    I had that when I was 7 and spent a week on the living room couch not able to move my neck. It hurt!
    I went to the doctor, he injected my neck with something, then jerked my neck, and the muscle spasm was gone.

    I woke up with this on my 21st birthday. My head was stuck in to my shoulder. It was so painful to move that it took me an hour to move to the edge of my bed to reach for the phone. It was the most painful thing I have ever experienced. Unfortunately I experienced it again exactly a year later on my 22nd birthday.

    What about the SCM condition? I had my 3rd Cervical Repair Surgery in 8-2020. Since my body has SCM. Every time I lay down on my left side the room spins for several seconds. I was checked for Vertigo and I don’t have Vertigo, not even benign Vertigo. SCM causes all my symptoms.

    • @KingofCracks
      @KingofCracks  7 місяців тому

      Sternocleidomastoid syndrome is a condition characterized by acute or chronic neck stiffness, pain, and related symptoms, often arising from the development of tightened, sensitive areas or trigger points within the SCM muscle. The size and complexity of the SCM muscle make it prone to strain and injury. It's worth noting that dizziness and vertigo are not typically associated with this syndrome. In the video in question, the patient has a condition known as torticollis, and the SCM muscle is consistently addressed as part of the treatment.
