I can't believe I was only a junior in high school when this episode aired 😅 It's crazy though in the last 2 decades since this episode has aired the number of real life love triangles between teachers and students that have happened.

@Boogie Woogie to long to explain but they break the law far more than the criminals they arrest and do far more speculation than criminal investigation.
Sometimes the greatest ideas on how to proceed come from speculation and that speculation sometimes leads investigators to turn over rocks that they wouldn't normally have turned over!

The only way I can tell this is old is the old cell phone in this scene, and the lack of smartphones, tablet, or fake nails. Clothing styles haven't radically changed in the last 15 years, unlike the way they did from 1980-1995.
You mean Nextel/iDEN phones the chirp/Direct Connect phones. Meaning that the phones were on Nextel's service plans back then. I miss those chirp phones!
You realize acrylics and lashes have been worn since early Hollywood, right? Also crop tops, the mini skirt, and other fashion items came out between the 40s/50s. Fashion hasn’t changed much since the early to mid 1900s, it just goes through cycles.
@axiomist4488 Me too. It was a simpler time and all of the work came naturally to me. It was basically a social club for me. I wasn’t particularly “popular,” but I knew most of the other kids in my grade and people liked me. I don’t think I had more than a handful of people who didn’t, but I guess I’m just a likable guy. Life after high school (maybe even college) just kinda sucks, honestly. Harder to juggle responsibilities and meet new people, especially in this day and age.
Didn’t check the ID? I used to bartend at at the Shrine Circus 🎪 and carded anyone that looked close to the legal age. Kept me out of hot water! The ATF doesn’t play games, they come down hard.

I hate it when cops do things that could compromise cases! Thye have a warrant for his arrest! They don't have a warrant to search, seize, or look through anything, especially something that's not his! Now, I'm not saying that I disagree with what they did but a judge and an even halfway decent defense attorney would have all the illegally obtained evidence thrown out in 5 seconds!
You don’t need a warrant for anything in plain sight. If he moved the case out of the way and something happened to fall out in plain sight, it’s admissible (whereas if he searched inside it, it wouldn’t be, although he could claim he felt unsafe and had to search it for weapons). Luckily the blood was on the handle. I haven’t seen this, but I guess the teacher let her own killer into the school. The girl was dumb lying about something that could be easily found out about like PSAT. She should have said she had wanted to talk with her about her future and how she could use her intelligence to make a difference, and the teacher had suggested the time to give them privacy for a long (2 hours) talk.

Interesting episode. Why anyone would want to stay in highschool as an adult (especially now days), though is beyond me...
Yep. Some people just don't wanna let go of their high points in life. For it to be high school, for any good times as may be, is kinda sad.

The only thing I hated about the show was all the speculation instead of actually investigating

Speculation and intuition is what most detective work is based on
But isn't that what leads to investigations though? Because of speculations? Lol.
