That happens a lot, I guess the counterpoint could be that you could be "defending better" but it doesn't help if the AI doesn't acknowledge that threat at all and makes it worse
Yea, I would understand if they don't put a tackle in but still stay close to the striker but they just seem to run away. Also sometimes but still noticibly enough, when you switch to the defender, he just hesitates for a second in spite of holding the left stick. That get really annoying.
i hadn’t played fifa for years until last year. it had the worst AI defending in a football game that i’d ever played. i was hoping they might have fixed that. i’ve made last year unplayable for me.
The user interface is so stupid. They somehow managed to make the UI more busy while offering less information and options. This results in one constantly switching in and out of menus. Want to check the progress of a youth player? Press right twice, press X, right again, select player in old table (new table opens). Ohh and all that with what feels like 6FPS.
I agree that the menus are bad, but FC 25 is still one of the best football games ever for offline players, easily the best since 12. There is no other football game that comes close to the level of realism of FC IQ and simulation mode.
@@RuuyG Yes but the bar is also not very high to begin with. Don't get me wrong I did buy it and like playing the game but we should not "defend" EA for this. EA knows they are the only real player in the market and thats why they can sell minor updates for 70€ every year. Compared to other games, the amount of polish and content FIFA deliveries is laughable. There are literally Mods that have more content and are free.
Career mode is a huge step forward, even down to the logistics of relegated teams selling there best players. For me it’s a huge upgrade but I say this as someone who hasn’t and won’t ever have any interest in ultimate team
@@Vizeh yeah they gotta do something about the rush mode in career mode it doesn’t really accomplish the “playing with your academy” that we were looking for, I completely understand why the gameplay isn’t good for non career mode players though because of how slow it is. I think career mode also plays a bit better because the quality of player and skill moves/ abilities are less so it’s a lot less to balance
@@footy_adventuresive always only really played career mode i do love it this year just struggle to ever dribble past the ai now, the interface is a bit unnecessary and the more systematic approach to formations makes it frustrating with lack of flexibility (cant just move players positions at free will in formation) and changing their actual positions from rw to rm so have to change formation to accommodate a player or two

I have not watched this video yet but I will say that this has been the most enjoyable FIFA I’ve played in years. I know the gameplay seems a bit slower to some but I really love the new features in career mode. This is probably an unpopular opinion

Personally, I think FC 25 is at best "okay", Rush is kinda fun, UT somehow got worse in terms of laggy menus, and casual softlocks when you either claim rewards or enter the store. I do think it's a step in the right direction for the gameplay, FC 24 felt a bit too arcady and predictable when it comes to passing, wheras FC 25 tries to make it more realistic, but it's not that good when you're using a low rated squad. Clubs is still fun, I like the new face customisation, and I like that relegation is back. Create-A-Team however hasn't been changed...at all, still generic kits, generic GK's kits, and no proper stadium customisation, and the servers at times...takes the right piss. But to keep my opinion of FC 25 short, it's alright, but not worth what EA want you to pay for it.
I didn't even mention Create a Club, I really wish they did more on this part of it honestly, but I agree and accept your reward on it. Gameplay I don't think i'll ever be a fan of but that's probably due to the inconsistent servers
@@Vizeh Yeah it sucks man, also not to mention dispite the rumours lurking in the past, there's still NO ONLINE CAREER MODE!!, so when I do a mini Prem tourney with a few mates, we're forced to use Kick-Off and regular career mode to make it work, this is alright for PC users because they can mod it when a version of that mod for FC 25 comes out, but when you're on console, it's a right pain to check track of everything manually. Yes FM is a more easier choice, but even still...
Realistically you should get a yearly game title every 2 years. But mfs really spend hours and hours on ultimate team for it to be meaningless after a year and start again. 😂
There's legit no need for yearly release especially at full price they should s good couple of years to make a really good game then update it to make changes in the same way fighting games do but they will never do this because of money

Can't understand people who actually enjoy the new career mode. All the tactical presets lack nuance. Everything feels oversimplified with less options. I like the idea of assigning player roles, but like I said, it's too restrictive. The one thing I used to enjoy about career mode was the ability to be creative tactically. EA has pretty much removed the features that were essential for that.

I haven't bought Fifa since 20 when I realised they were never going to change the game again and it was becoming a literal copy-paste every year. The game used to value career mode because it was a selling point but since FUT became so huge it just feels like us career mode players have been left behind since like Fifa 17. The sad thing for older gamers like me who used to enjoy Fifa is that because EA have perfected child gambling so well they really don't need people like me anymore who want a decent football sim. They literally just want 8 year old bobby who has access to mum's credit card and (from what I can tell) the whole experience is catered for that now.
I'm not buying EA25 I just see it as the exact same game as EA24. I've been playing EA football games since I was a kid. I can't do it anymore because I see EA as this soulless organisation that hits 'copy and paste' constantly. I grew up with some amazing FIFA Games between 2003-2015, which was when I stopped playing FIFA games but came back around FIFA 18 which I liked. But from FIFA 19-EA24 I just see the same, bland, tiresome game with only a fresh coat of paint. FIFA 20 had that cool indoor mode, but it's not enough. EA24 was so lifeless for me so I'm just refusing to get the new EA25. Yes, the graphics look amazing compared to my day in the PS2 and Xbox 360, but at least those games were fun and had some charm to them

Glad I didn't waste my money on this Same at 36:40 look at the CM next to the referee, he starts making a run into a wide open space and then for no reason whatsoever just stops and turns around, leaving one less option in attack.
Why has the FIFA player base accepted the ridiculously OP team press & 2nd man press, tackling from any angle, through players bodies, teleportation tackles, getting demolished & fouls not registering, every pass that's not driven being intercepted as normal gameplay? I see this game is no longer for me.
EA, and sports as a whole, is devoted to being the beginning of everyone's gambling addiction. I am an American, so I am not sure how bad it is in the UK, but sports betting has ruined so many sports. And video games are just new ways to get people to gamble on sports (I say "new" even though EA has been doing this for over a decade now).
I’ve been playing this game for official 30 years now. I started playing when I was 8 on fifa 94. I’m still very good and can make it in div 1 pretty easily. Honestly this game has become so unrealistic the experience is ruined for me. I played 20 min on the trial and I’m played 2 games to know this game is completely broken in multiple areas. But they make so much money, this is just the experience now. Gameplay wise I believe efootball is far superior at the moment

The game is NOT realistic Watch any game and the teams get so low and compact … real / city any team . In this game it’s 2-4-4 no matter what tactics you use …. player roles exist lil bro, just set up your players so they do defend, plus it gives you hints in the tactics section what your team is good at and at what it isn't, maybe try reading what the roles actually do

I did FC 24 UT with Paris FC. Got most of them to 90-99 rated through evos. Not going to lie, this was the most fun way I've ever played Ultimate Team and I highly recommend anyone doing it with a team you like. It's also a convenient way to avoid packs and lessen the need for rewards, it also adds more mileage to the game.
I've played a couple of hours of UT in 25, Rush is cool and I recommend to use it as defence training because no one undestands the true power of keeping a strong formation. As for Rivals, the gameplay is a bit slower than 24, defenders as a whole are tanks this year. You can def stop "sweaty" players a bit more. Pack animations and card designs i prefer over last year.

As a career mode player, my only problem has been I can’t make substitutions (only “quick subs” during games), can’t edit line ups before game & in career mode menus either, even in kick off I can’t do all that. That’s been my only issue so far. Team sheets don’t update either after I get off & restart the game it goes back to default. I’ve not touched UT yet so don’t know if the problem is also there. I’m on PS5 btw, I’ve tried turning off the console & restarting it, deleted the game & re installed it. I guess I’ll just have to wait until it’s patched in an update which is unfortunate.

My last fifa was fifa 23 I loved playing 20,21,22 and 23 but I could see the decline and I tried my friends EAFC24 last year and I didn’t like the gameplay it doesn’t feel like fifa and I just tried playing a couple games against my friend on this one. Even basic stuff like team management feels like a chore , in order to change stuff like the formation both players have to select change tactics … why!? that’s never been the case it’s so annoying and the gameplay was terrible im still playing fifa 23 occasionally with my AFC Richmond career mode ,I have had a lot of fun with ultimate team in previous fifas but the gameplay and the menus were fun I could overlook that the games felt similar but this fifa feels like a chore to do anything including gameplay we only played for a few hours but I am definitely not buying this game my friend also wants to return his copy
I'm just gonna start voting with my wallet. The way the gameplay has been slot-machinified is just too much for me. The way it manipulates you into these highs and lows. I wish the poor scripting could be altered through the sliders, but that's just not the case. I'll probably get it at the end of it's cycle.
I have the game, but the scripting is so bloody annoying, I'm sick of pulling off a 5 - 0 against man city then losing to chesterfield 5 - 0, I wish you could just turn it off, the game would be way more fun if it was off you and your skills and not who ea put their bets on to win the game
51:01 as somebody who pre-ordered it looks weird not seeing Nazario, beckham and Zidane on there, although out of every character I've taken long shots with Henry was the best, literally saved us against Villa, top bins, then almost scored a second in the 90th minute... went off Martinez' glove and deflected off the boot of Mings into the back of his own net... 2-1 FT gotta love it.
pretty sad that this game hasnt done anything to player customization since fifa 18, that when the teams get promoted it obviously has its own form of banners(we have been promoted, we are going up etc..) the international teams have not been looked at still from what i see playing the world cup with 16 teams , no nations league or youth even though the license from uefa is there. Didnt see much of the transfers but i expect them to be as unrealistic as possible even in the first season. I just think we play this game because we seriously and i mean seriously have been held hostage and the options we have besides this game is modding on pc or essentially hope that one day someone will make a game that actively shows the football experience and is worked on year after year. if you are reading this, pray for fifa and pray hard.
I've played FUT up until 22. After FUT 23 I purchased fifa for playing seasons only. I really enjoyed the competitiveness of FUT. But since FIFA 23 beating meta squads with a creative non meta squad become impossible. I wish EA did something to get me back to FUT. This year's edition isn't it though. I miss the old days when my Liga Portugal team with 54 pace Dost as a striker could easily beat Div1 players on FUT with skill.
I like the simulation mode setting, makes it more immersive for me, I play on professional and was beating teams 4/5-0 by half time in previous years but this year on simulation while still of professional I score maybe a goal or 2 a game and have only had 3 4+ goals scored in career mode so far
I love it that now only 1 Evo at a time is possible. They do everything to prolongue the time you have to grind and stay on the console, even you dont follow any goals or smthin
I’ve seen the players celebrating before after a loss on pro clubs, both teams were celebrating and then done a trophy lift🤣, I’ve also went in a game in the gk position and I’ve ended up in the opponents goals
I love the new tactics set up , and the youth changing looks , but general game play is very similar but I have to say I’ll give ea where it’s due they actually have done something this year
Those that complain about FC or fifa, CLEARLY you have never played NBA 2K. Much more sluggish gameplay, horrible microtransaction, horrible game updates.
This is definitely one of the best fifas in years, it has the feel of an older fifa like 17-19, I'm not sure how that pans out for FUT, I haven't played that much this year it doesn't appeal to me after last year but for career mode and clubs it feels great the game doesn't feel at all like last year which was probably the worst fifa ever this is an upgrade in every way definitely worth buying In my opinion
I'm the same when I play rush. I find it fun being a CB since the other team usually tries to "rush" a bit too much, making it easier to make tackles/interceptions. My cousin always tells me "you're the best CB" which boosts my ego lmao

The option to „humble“ and „criticise“ players at press conferences actually has a reason. EA added a new morale feature, that affects players negatively, if you praise them too many times (it’s stupid I know). Players get submissive when you’re too nice with them, which will affect their form negatively and with that their performance and potential. So you always want to keep them at a sweet spot. They probably did this to add a new thing to keep track of, so you don’t just spam the same options at pc’s and interviews all the time like in the fifas before. Kinda nice at the beginning, but will probably get boring with the time, as it’s just always the same options again and they haven’t added much variety to the questionpool.
I've enjoyed the carreer mode so far. But then again, I haven't played FIFA since ~17. I only pick up football games once every few years. Dropped FM this year to play FC25 instead, and I feel like it ended up being the right choice.
The social media aspect of career mode is meant to be one of their selling points, yet it feels so... Soulless. It's as if I'm looking at Indian zombie bot farming impressions by spamming random shite on twitter blue.

I'm mainly a squad battle player and will only play rivals if my ego requires it, but squad battles has been totally nerfed this year, it's been cut from 40 games a week to 12 games, which if I knew before they game came out I wouldn't have bothered with it, also the rewards are super glitched can't collect certain ones to complete objectives
I know it's a really small gripe, but I hate they used the same colours for the menus. I know we always complain about them being the same, but I always remember the likes of 20 for the pink or 17 for the yellow. You could barely look at the screen and you'd know the FIFA. I'll accept they're building an identity, but a new palette would've been nice.
There are so few changes between the early iterations of these games, I’m genuinely interested in what the development cycle looks like from a management perspective. Seems the roster update and UI reskin could be taken care of in maybe a month or 2. What are they doing with the rest of that time?
I started this game and I wanted to play as my favorite team in regular kick-off, Bournemouth. When I tried swapping players around it just didn’t work? For some reason it only happend with AFC Bournemouth so that was weird. I tried a career mode. I saw the main screen and it’s horrible… The only thing you can see is the social media thing. No table, no top scorers, no training screen, it looks super blend. It doesn’t show you messages or mails, ONLY if you manually open your mail box + you don’t see transfer offers. You have to manually check the transfer offer tab every day. You can’t manually change player positions, it’s all preset formations so you can’t make formations like Man City’s 3-2-4-1. In every interview all answers are always the say 4 so that’s very boring. Every notification you get is just bland white text in the middle of your screen. These are the problems I’ve experienced in the 4/5 hours I played. I tried to give a chance. I was still playing Fifa 22 to this day and the only thing they’ve upgrades since then is the graphics and the Youth Academy. Yeah scrap the youth academy part… All the youth players I got, have like a 10 rating in Headers (for a CB) or a goalkeeper having 17 diving as a 62 rated player, hard to make a good game I guess. I’m asking for a refund
Vizeh I know you don’t rate ea. But after playing the game the last week I’ve got to be honest. It’s been more fun this start of the year for a change, I’m glad they removed the attack/defence rates and changed it for roles, makes you actually consider who’s best suited for your teams play. I do think 89.99 for the game just is ridiculous, I remember the days of FIFA being worth half it (fifa 15 nearly a decade ago) But I won’t lie but it’s not at the stage where ea just drop 50 million packs on us yet and beg for more money essentially. My thoughts on rush, decent game mode, unfortunately it’s hella predictable, if the keeper gets the ball in his hands, best believe there’s someone already waiting halfway up the pitch ready for the counter. Clubs, similar but definitely better tweaks and improvements can still be made. I usually only really enjoy the start of fifa and the middle, but after toty I think that’s when the game goes a bit too broken and I believe I won’t get the next one but who knows, we aren’t there yet and ea may actually make good decisions (hopefully)
Coming from someone whos new to ultimate team. From playing a lot of fifa as a kid back on fifa 06-08, then playing that one in the mid 2010's which had the alex hunter story mode. I hadent touched ultimate team before, but my friend gifted me this new fifa near release day so i thought i would give ultimate team a try So far, im enjoying it. Got a decent team to get me started, loving the addition of female players, and these girls aint too bad. Pretty fast. And ronaldo is going for hella cheap.
It’s so sad seeing how poor the game is, I only play career mode and have been playing fifa 21 for like 2 years because the last few have been terrible. It’s sad how eas greed from milking kids in fut ruined the whole franchise.
Honestly i actually like it so far...its not as good as FM but career mode has got better with the FC IQ so players move a bit more how youd like them too with player roles..the defending is more enjoyable and theres simulation mode which is basically when the game actually plays more like a realistic game of football.. scouting has got better the Youth Academy is more rewarding Rush is fun..like its a fun game..not groundbreaking but fun which is what I missed about FIFA for more than half a decade now
I played 2 seasons of a man utd career mode and played almost every match by myself in legendary difficulty and i can understand ten hag now. This game has the best career mode ever of fifas in my opinion. You have to change your tactics in game, you have to care about players’ development plans to make them fit into your system. And every match is a challenge instead of like 5-1, 6-3 like the last games. All of the games will be like 1-0, 2-1, 3-1 and it makes the game more fun in my opinion because you actually get happy when you score. AI defends so good and you have to actually defend tactically instead of just rushing to the opponent. I placed like 10th and 7th in my 2 seasons. If it was another fifa i would easily get top 3.
For the Burnley away kit (i have this problem as well) they havent changed the colour in the coding. It still thinks its last years yellow kit (you can see where it tells you the colours on the scoreboard its yellow and black). Citys green and black kit the same issue with the yellow ref kit
pace in this game can carry you, i made a full bronze 90+ pace team and i won in rivals when i couldnt win with my main team. so i made a gold team full of cheap 90+ pace golds and im winning so much more
I actually pre-ordered FC 25 for the PS4 to give it a chance and partly to see how low it can really go (I'm a Career Mode guy) and I have to admit that what I have recorded for fail compilations could only make me want to laugh not for how funny it was, but for how awful it was. Players returning to their former clubs, stewards t-posing in the middle of the pitch, goalkeepers not knowing what to do with the ball, the ball glitching through a goalkeeper's body, etc. It just stuns me that people put up with what EA throw out and accept it for what it is.
I played the trial. Was not impressed and now. I have made my stance clear on this game, and…. It’s not for me. I am not buying the game. When it becomes free, I will think about it. But I’m not going to force myself to play rivals or anything and play career and rush and clubs as I don’t see the point. It’s the same ass every year
Actually it plays better as last year goalkeepers look a lot more realistic. And career mode has a much needed upgrade. It’s actually not a bad game this time and also the walk-in is back. I overall think it is the best it has been in years. It feels better to play. There is more fouls more tackles more realism. Also the realistic mode and wind makes a difference. But don’t turn the wind on max it makes it way unrealistic again also cpu can totally mess up free kicks and penalty kicks. Not everything seems to be an instant goal. Like in real life.
We play pro clubs a lot and we mostly play 2 man without an any and get matched up with 4 opponents. We have the match team size filter and in fc24 it worked but this year we get smacked up by 4 man teams. We where even matched up with 7 ones
The thing is if you really want a career experience where you develop players and see them come through your academy and you develop teams into World Class teams, then don't get FIFA games, a game exists that is the perfect thing for people that like developing players and scouting young players and the modding also is generally pretty good as the tool for modding is basically given to you for free at the beginning so if you want to find a database with the Bhutan league and play in Bhutan and try and turn Bhutan into a footballing nation then FM or Football Manager is the game you want, not FIFA because Football Manager firstly has something I consider really cool, almost every footballing nation is in the game and you have a chance through youth intakes and scouting of finding good players from unexpected countries. So you could get an Anguillan player for your Championship English side. Like if you get FIFA for career mode, don't do it, a better game exists that has simulation but it does the simulation elements a lot better and it has way more variety, in fact the only continent that doesn't have a single league is Oceania. And you can use the pre game editor or find a custom database that features Oceanic Leagues and more African leagues if you want.
My two biggest issues with it are the tactics menu being dumbed down into a useless skin more than anything else, and the movement just feels awful. It doesn't matter if you're breaking into a dead sprint, your player basically refuses to get IN FRONT OF THE FUCKING GUY WITH POSSESSION OF THE BALL. Like, your player will just slow down to match their pace instead of keeping the same pace they had when they were catching up. Never a problem in 24, biggest issue for me in 25
I had a 10 hour trial from Game pass. I played two games using my draft token. First one, the opponent quit in the first minute. Second game - opponent quit in the first minute, I got a loss. I have immediately uninstalled this garbage
The personality system in 24 dictated what traits your player unlocked, so for example you needed a certain percentage of Maverick points to be able to use Chip Shot. If your choices made that percentage drop below the required that trait becomes inactive until you raise the percentage again. Pretty stupid system, it never feels like the investments or shopping really means anything, it would be much better if the money you got from investments could be used to buy cosmetic items like boots. balls, retro kits etc. Honestly not touching this game until it is on Game Pass or PS+. It's kind of insulting how unfinished it looks with bugs that should have been picked up in minutes. Just feels like they ignored any Beta testers and shipped the game anyway.
I only really play career mode, and i must say im very disappointed with the menus. Its such a hassle to find anything, and i hate that it doesnt tell you the improvement on overall for each player now. Its just all worse somehow. Only thing thats been improved for me is automated training plans
I personally really like the game once I change my sliders n make it the perfect balance of realistic and challenging like a real football match especially down to the position and line height of teams whilst defending, really enjoy the animations and the pace and feel of the game and the look also people love complaining for clickbait but still will end up always buying the game.
The gameplay to put it politely it’s utterly disgusting… I can’t even put into words how bad this game is at present. EA is an absolute disgrace of a company verging on criminal what they are putting out and charging £100…. Embarrassing.

Yea, I would understand if they don't put a tackle in but still stay close to the striker but they just seem to run away. Also sometimes but still noticibly enough, when you switch to the defender, he just hesitates for a second in spite of holding the left stick. That get really annoying.
i hadn’t played fifa for years until last year. it had the worst AI defending in a football game that i’d ever played. i was hoping they might have fixed that. i’ve made last year unplayable for me.
The user interface is so stupid. They somehow managed to make the UI more busy while offering less information and options. This results in one constantly switching in and out of menus. Want to check the progress of a youth player? Press right twice, press X, right again, select player in old table (new table opens). Ohh and all that with what feels like 6FPS.
The menus are honestly so infurating to go through for me, I hope they somehow resolve this
I agree that the menus are bad, but FC 25 is still one of the best football games ever for offline players, easily the best since 12. There is no other football game that comes close to the level of realism of FC IQ and simulation mode.
@@RuuyG Yes but the bar is also not very high to begin with. Don't get me wrong I did buy it and like playing the game but we should not "defend" EA for this. EA knows they are the only real player in the market and thats why they can sell minor updates for 70€ every year. Compared to other games, the amount of polish and content FIFA deliveries is laughable. There are literally Mods that have more content and are free.

Career mode is a huge step forward, even down to the logistics of relegated teams selling there best players. For me it’s a huge upgrade but I say this as someone who hasn’t and won’t ever have any interest in ultimate team

I think career mode also plays a bit better because the quality of player and skill moves/ abilities are less so it’s a lot less to balance

I have not watched this video yet but I will say that this has been the most enjoyable FIFA I’ve played in years. I know the gameplay seems a bit slower to some but I really love the new features in career mode. This is probably an unpopular opinion

Personally, I think FC 25 is at best "okay", Rush is kinda fun, UT somehow got worse in terms of laggy menus, and casual softlocks when you either claim rewards or enter the store. I do think it's a step in the right direction for the gameplay, FC 24 felt a bit too arcady and predictable when it comes to passing, wheras FC 25 tries to make it more realistic, but it's not that good when you're using a low rated squad. Clubs is still fun, I like the new face customisation, and I like that relegation is back. Create-A-Team however hasn't been changed...at all, still generic kits, generic GK's kits, and no proper stadium customisation, and the servers at times...takes the right piss.
But to keep my opinion of FC 25 short, it's alright, but not worth what EA want you to pay for it.
I didn't even mention Create a Club, I really wish they did more on this part of it honestly, but I agree and accept your reward on it. Gameplay I don't think i'll ever be a fan of but that's probably due to the inconsistent servers
@@Vizeh Yeah it sucks man, also not to mention dispite the rumours lurking in the past, there's still NO ONLINE CAREER MODE!!, so when I do a mini Prem tourney with a few mates, we're forced to use Kick-Off and regular career mode to make it work, this is alright for PC users because they can mod it when a version of that mod for FC 25 comes out, but when you're on console, it's a right pain to check track of everything manually. Yes FM is a more easier choice, but even still...

Can't understand people who actually enjoy the new career mode. All the tactical presets lack nuance. Everything feels oversimplified with less options. I like the idea of assigning player roles, but like I said, it's too restrictive.
The one thing I used to enjoy about career mode was the ability to be creative tactically. EA has pretty much removed the features that were essential for that.

I haven't bought Fifa since 20 when I realised they were never going to change the game again and it was becoming a literal copy-paste every year. The game used to value career mode because it was a selling point but since FUT became so huge it just feels like us career mode players have been left behind since like Fifa 17.
The sad thing for older gamers like me who used to enjoy Fifa is that because EA have perfected child gambling so well they really don't need people like me anymore who want a decent football sim. They literally just want 8 year old bobby who has access to mum's credit card and (from what I can tell) the whole experience is catered for that now.

I just see it as the exact same game as EA24. I've been playing EA football games since I was a kid. I can't do it anymore because I see EA as this soulless organisation that hits 'copy and paste' constantly. I grew up with some amazing FIFA Games between 2003-2015, which was when I stopped playing FIFA games but came back around FIFA 18 which I liked. But from FIFA 19-EA24 I just see the same, bland, tiresome game with only a fresh coat of paint. FIFA 20 had that cool indoor mode, but it's not enough. EA24 was so lifeless for me so I'm just refusing to get the new EA25. Yes, the graphics look amazing compared to my day in the PS2 and Xbox 360, but at least those games were fun and had some charm to them

Why has the FIFA player base accepted the ridiculously OP team press & 2nd man press, tackling from any angle, through players bodies, teleportation tackles, getting demolished & fouls not registering, every pass that's not driven being intercepted as normal gameplay? I see this game is no longer for me.
EA, and sports as a whole, is devoted to being the beginning of everyone's gambling addiction. I am an American, so I am not sure how bad it is in the UK, but sports betting has ruined so many sports. And video games are just new ways to get people to gamble on sports (I say "new" even though EA has been doing this for over a decade now).

I’ve been playing this game for official 30 years now. I started playing when I was 8 on fifa 94. I’m still very good and can make it in div 1 pretty easily. Honestly this game has become so unrealistic the experience is ruined for me. I played 20 min on the trial and I’m played 2 games to know this game is completely broken in multiple areas. But they make so much money, this is just the experience now. Gameplay wise I believe efootball is far superior at the moment

Haven't played Fifa since 23 and I've had no desire to buy it I didn't even know it had been released, play FM for a better football experience.
I only play career mode, and it is terrible this year. The academy sounded promising but is more broken than ever
I did FC 24 UT with Paris FC. Got most of them to 90-99 rated through evos. Not going to lie, this was the most fun way I've ever played Ultimate Team and I highly recommend anyone doing it with a team you like. It's also a convenient way to avoid packs and lessen the need for rewards, it also adds more mileage to the game.
I've played a couple of hours of UT in 25, Rush is cool and I recommend to use it as defence training because no one undestands the true power of keeping a strong formation. As for Rivals, the gameplay is a bit slower than 24, defenders as a whole are tanks this year. You can def stop "sweaty" players a bit more. Pack animations and card designs i prefer over last year.
The big review we have been all waiting for.

More disappointing is the silence from other big streamers and pro-players.....
As a career mode player, my only problem has been I can’t make substitutions (only “quick subs” during games), can’t edit line ups before game & in career mode menus either, even in kick off I can’t do all that. That’s been my only issue so far. Team sheets don’t update either after I get off & restart the game it goes back to default.
I’ve not touched UT yet so don’t know if the problem is also there. I’m on PS5 btw, I’ve tried turning off the console & restarting it, deleted the game & re installed it. I guess I’ll just have to wait until it’s patched in an update which is unfortunate.

My last fifa was fifa 23 I loved playing 20,21,22 and 23 but I could see the decline and I tried my friends EAFC24 last year and I didn’t like the gameplay it doesn’t feel like fifa and I just tried playing a couple games against my friend on this one.
Even basic stuff like team management feels like a chore , in order to change stuff like the formation both players have to select change tactics … why!? that’s never been the case it’s so annoying and the gameplay was terrible im still playing fifa 23 occasionally with my AFC Richmond career mode ,I have had a lot of fun with ultimate team in previous fifas but the gameplay and the menus were fun I could overlook that the games felt similar but this fifa feels like a chore to do anything including gameplay we only played for a few hours but I am definitely not buying this game my friend also wants to return his copy

I'm just gonna start voting with my wallet. The way the gameplay has been slot-machinified is just too much for me. The way it manipulates you into these highs and lows. I wish the poor scripting could be altered through the sliders, but that's just not the case. I'll probably get it at the end of it's cycle.
I have the game, but the scripting is so bloody annoying, I'm sick of pulling off a 5 - 0 against man city then losing to chesterfield 5 - 0, I wish you could just turn it off, the game would be way more fun if it was off you and your skills and not who ea put their bets on to win the game

51:01 as somebody who pre-ordered it looks weird not seeing Nazario, beckham and Zidane on there, although out of every character I've taken long shots with Henry was the best, literally saved us against Villa, top bins, then almost scored a second in the 90th minute... went off Martinez' glove and deflected off the boot of Mings into the back of his own net... 2-1 FT gotta love it.
If you are planning on paying for this game. Dont. Only get it when its less the 5$. Which will probably be around January.

pretty sad that this game hasnt done anything to player customization since fifa 18, that when the teams get promoted it obviously has its own form of banners(we have been promoted, we are going up etc..) the international teams have not been looked at still from what i see playing the world cup with 16 teams , no nations league or youth even though the license from uefa is there. Didnt see much of the transfers but i expect them to be as unrealistic as possible even in the first season. I just think we play this game because we seriously and i mean seriously have been held hostage and the options we have besides this game is modding on pc or essentially hope that one day someone will make a game that actively shows the football experience and is worked on year after year. if you are reading this, pray for fifa and pray hard.
I've played FUT up until 22. After FUT 23 I purchased fifa for playing seasons only. I really enjoyed the competitiveness of FUT. But since FIFA 23 beating meta squads with a creative non meta squad become impossible. I wish EA did something to get me back to FUT. This year's edition isn't it though. I miss the old days when my Liga Portugal team with 54 pace Dost as a striker could easily beat Div1 players on FUT with skill.
I actually play it on PC because of career mode and I am a modder for FIFA so that only works on pc 😅

I like the simulation mode setting, makes it more immersive for me, I play on professional and was beating teams 4/5-0 by half time in previous years but this year on simulation while still of professional I score maybe a goal or 2 a game and have only had 3 4+ goals scored in career mode so far
I love it that now only 1 Evo at a time is possible. They do everything to prolongue the time you have to grind and stay on the console, even you dont follow any goals or smthin
I’ve seen the players celebrating before after a loss on pro clubs, both teams were celebrating and then done a trophy lift🤣, I’ve also went in a game in the gk position and I’ve ended up in the opponents goals
I love the new tactics set up , and the youth changing looks , but general game play is very similar but I have to say I’ll give ea where it’s due they actually have done something this year

This is definitely one of the best fifas in years, it has the feel of an older fifa like 17-19, I'm not sure how that pans out for FUT, I haven't played that much this year it doesn't appeal to me after last year but for career mode and clubs it feels great the game doesn't feel at all like last year which was probably the worst fifa ever this is an upgrade in every way definitely worth buying In my opinion
I'm the same when I play rush. I find it fun being a CB since the other team usually tries to "rush" a bit too much, making it easier to make tackles/interceptions. My cousin always tells me "you're the best CB" which boosts my ego lmao

The option to „humble“ and „criticise“ players at press conferences actually has a reason. EA added a new morale feature, that affects players negatively, if you praise them too many times (it’s stupid I know). Players get submissive when you’re too nice with them, which will affect their form negatively and with that their performance and potential. So you always want to keep them at a sweet spot. They probably did this to add a new thing to keep track of, so you don’t just spam the same options at pc’s and interviews all the time like in the fifas before. Kinda nice at the beginning, but will probably get boring with the time, as it’s just always the same options again and they haven’t added much variety to the questionpool.
I've enjoyed the carreer mode so far. But then again, I haven't played FIFA since ~17.
I only pick up football games once every few years. Dropped FM this year to play FC25 instead, and I feel like it ended up being the right choice.

I'm mainly a squad battle player and will only play rivals if my ego requires it, but squad battles has been totally nerfed this year, it's been cut from 40 games a week to 12 games, which if I knew before they game came out I wouldn't have bothered with it, also the rewards are super glitched can't collect certain ones to complete objectives

I know it's a really small gripe, but I hate they used the same colours for the menus. I know we always complain about them being the same, but I always remember the likes of 20 for the pink or 17 for the yellow. You could barely look at the screen and you'd know the FIFA. I'll accept they're building an identity, but a new palette would've been nice.
There are so few changes between the early iterations of these games, I’m genuinely interested in what the development cycle looks like from a management perspective. Seems the roster update and UI reskin could be taken care of in maybe a month or 2. What are they doing with the rest of that time?
I started this game and I wanted to play as my favorite team in regular kick-off, Bournemouth. When I tried swapping players around it just didn’t work? For some reason it only happend with AFC Bournemouth so that was weird. I tried a career mode. I saw the main screen and it’s horrible… The only thing you can see is the social media thing. No table, no top scorers, no training screen, it looks super blend. It doesn’t show you messages or mails, ONLY if you manually open your mail box + you don’t see transfer offers. You have to manually check the transfer offer tab every day. You can’t manually change player positions, it’s all preset formations so you can’t make formations like Man City’s 3-2-4-1. In every interview all answers are always the say 4 so that’s very boring. Every notification you get is just bland white text in the middle of your screen.
These are the problems I’ve experienced in the 4/5 hours I played. I tried to give a chance. I was still playing Fifa 22 to this day and the only thing they’ve upgrades since then is the graphics and the Youth Academy. Yeah scrap the youth academy part… All the youth players I got, have like a 10 rating in Headers (for a CB) or a goalkeeper having 17 diving as a 62 rated player, hard to make a good game I guess. I’m asking for a refund

But after playing the game the last week I’ve got to be honest.
It’s been more fun this start of the year for a change, I’m glad they removed the attack/defence rates and changed it for roles, makes you actually consider who’s best suited for your teams play.
I do think 89.99 for the game just is ridiculous, I remember the days of FIFA being worth half it (fifa 15 nearly a decade ago)
But I won’t lie but it’s not at the stage where ea just drop 50 million packs on us yet and beg for more money essentially.
My thoughts on rush, decent game mode, unfortunately it’s hella predictable, if the keeper gets the ball in his hands, best believe there’s someone already waiting halfway up the pitch ready for the counter.
Clubs, similar but definitely better tweaks and improvements can still be made.
I usually only really enjoy the start of fifa and the middle, but after toty I think that’s when the game goes a bit too broken and I believe I won’t get the next one but who knows, we aren’t there yet and ea may actually make good decisions (hopefully)
Coming from someone whos new to ultimate team. From playing a lot of fifa as a kid back on fifa 06-08, then playing that one in the mid 2010's which had the alex hunter story mode. I hadent touched ultimate team before, but my friend gifted me this new fifa near release day so i thought i would give ultimate team a try
So far, im enjoying it. Got a decent team to get me started, loving the addition of female players, and these girls aint too bad. Pretty fast. And ronaldo is going for hella cheap.

It’s so sad seeing how poor the game is, I only play career mode and have been playing fifa 21 for like 2 years because the last few have been terrible. It’s sad how eas greed from milking kids in fut ruined the whole franchise.
Honestly i actually like it so far...its not as good as FM but career mode has got better with the FC IQ so players move a bit more how youd like them too with player roles..the defending is more enjoyable and theres simulation mode which is basically when the game actually plays more like a realistic game of football.. scouting has got better the Youth Academy is more rewarding Rush is fun..like its a fun game..not groundbreaking but fun which is what I missed about FIFA for more than half a decade now
I played 2 seasons of a man utd career mode and played almost every match by myself in legendary difficulty and i can understand ten hag now. This game has the best career mode ever of fifas in my opinion. You have to change your tactics in game, you have to care about players’ development plans to make them fit into your system. And every match is a challenge instead of like 5-1, 6-3 like the last games. All of the games will be like 1-0, 2-1, 3-1 and it makes the game more fun in my opinion because you actually get happy when you score. AI defends so good and you have to actually defend tactically instead of just rushing to the opponent. I placed like 10th and 7th in my 2 seasons. If it was another fifa i would easily get top 3.
For the Burnley away kit (i have this problem as well) they havent changed the colour in the coding. It still thinks its last years yellow kit (you can see where it tells you the colours on the scoreboard its yellow and black). Citys green and black kit the same issue with the yellow ref kit
Its a gambling game not a football game anymore.

Maybe mention the fact you can't manually move players around in Team Management or Flip between Positions in the same area of the pitch!?
pace in this game can carry you, i made a full bronze 90+ pace team and i won in rivals when i couldnt win with my main team. so i made a gold team full of cheap 90+ pace golds and im winning so much more
I actually pre-ordered FC 25 for the PS4 to give it a chance and partly to see how low it can really go (I'm a Career Mode guy) and I have to admit that what I have recorded for fail compilations could only make me want to laugh not for how funny it was, but for how awful it was. Players returning to their former clubs, stewards t-posing in the middle of the pitch, goalkeepers not knowing what to do with the ball, the ball glitching through a goalkeeper's body, etc. It just stuns me that people put up with what EA throw out and accept it for what it is.
Im only buying for the Rush mode in UT and the couple career mode features added
Rush is a fun mode, I just hope they add more to it otherwise it may get stale fast

I played the trial. Was not impressed and now. I have made my stance clear on this game, and…. It’s not for me. I am not buying the game. When it becomes free, I will think about it. But I’m not going to force myself to play rivals or anything and play career and rush and clubs as I don’t see the point. It’s the same ass every year
Actually it plays better as last year goalkeepers look a lot more realistic. And career mode has a much needed upgrade. It’s actually not a bad game this time and also the walk-in is back. I overall think it is the best it has been in years. It feels better to play. There is more fouls more tackles more realism. Also the realistic mode and wind makes a difference. But don’t turn the wind on max it makes it way unrealistic again also cpu can totally mess up free kicks and penalty kicks. Not everything seems to be an instant goal. Like in real life.

We play pro clubs a lot and we mostly play 2 man without an any and get matched up with 4 opponents. We have the match team size filter and in fc24 it worked but this year we get smacked up by 4 man teams. We where even matched up with 7 ones
The thing is if you really want a career experience where you develop players and see them come through your academy and you develop teams into World Class teams, then don't get FIFA games, a game exists that is the perfect thing for people that like developing players and scouting young players and the modding also is generally pretty good as the tool for modding is basically given to you for free at the beginning so if you want to find a database with the Bhutan league and play in Bhutan and try and turn Bhutan into a footballing nation then FM or Football Manager is the game you want, not FIFA because Football Manager firstly has something I consider really cool, almost every footballing nation is in the game and you have a chance through youth intakes and scouting of finding good players from unexpected countries. So you could get an Anguillan player for your Championship English side. Like if you get FIFA for career mode, don't do it, a better game exists that has simulation but it does the simulation elements a lot better and it has way more variety, in fact the only continent that doesn't have a single league is Oceania. And you can use the pre game editor or find a custom database that features Oceanic Leagues and more African leagues if you want.
My two biggest issues with it are the tactics menu being dumbed down into a useless skin more than anything else, and the movement just feels awful. It doesn't matter if you're breaking into a dead sprint, your player basically refuses to get IN FRONT OF THE FUCKING GUY WITH POSSESSION OF THE BALL. Like, your player will just slow down to match their pace instead of keeping the same pace they had when they were catching up. Never a problem in 24, biggest issue for me in 25
I had a 10 hour trial from Game pass. I played two games using my draft token. First one, the opponent quit in the first minute. Second game - opponent quit in the first minute, I got a loss. I have immediately uninstalled this garbage

The personality system in 24 dictated what traits your player unlocked, so for example you needed a certain percentage of Maverick points to be able to use Chip Shot. If your choices made that percentage drop below the required that trait becomes inactive until you raise the percentage again.
Pretty stupid system, it never feels like the investments or shopping really means anything, it would be much better if the money you got from investments could be used to buy cosmetic items like boots. balls, retro kits etc.
Honestly not touching this game until it is on Game Pass or PS+. It's kind of insulting how unfinished it looks with bugs that should have been picked up in minutes. Just feels like they ignored any Beta testers and shipped the game anyway.
I only really play career mode, and i must say im very disappointed with the menus. Its such a hassle to find anything, and i hate that it doesnt tell you the improvement on overall for each player now. Its just all worse somehow. Only thing thats been improved for me is automated training plans
I personally really like the game once I change my sliders n make it the perfect balance of realistic and challenging like a real football match especially down to the position and line height of teams whilst defending, really enjoy the animations and the pace and feel of the game and the look also people love complaining for clickbait but still will end up always buying the game.
The gameplay to put it politely it’s utterly disgusting… I can’t even put into words how bad this game is at present. EA is an absolute disgrace of a company verging on criminal what they are putting out and charging £100…. Embarrassing.
