thank you for this. i dread family gatherings every year. i would like to just do my own thing or find new aroace/lgbtqia+ friends to travel with but i usually cave in.
Travelling with friends on christmas sounds awesome tbf. I think this year (since im now in uni) ill probs be doing a bit more of my own thing as well as seeing family, so hopefully i too can find soome aroace/lgbtqia+ folk to vibe with
@asayake1 sort of. I'm in a games (roleplay/boardgames) society where a lot of people there are a part of the LGBTQIA+ community, so it alr feels quite inclusive. Plus, I made an ace friend, which I loved as they were the first other ace person I ever met in real life 🔥

@asayake1 also, hope you do get to travel one day (whether with or without friends), sometimes the isolation can be more comforting
