- I didn't like that you couldn't build in the downtown area of Tartosa :(
So I just made my own Tartosa Town Square! It's especially made for preparing for your upcoming wedding... it has a wedding gown shop, a bakery to get your cake, a floral shop to get your bouquet, a dance studio to practice your first dance as a married couple, and a nail salon to look your best on the big day. But that's not all! There's also a coffee shop, a Mediterranean restaurant, a bar, an apartment, a grocery store, a house, a fish shop, a laundry mat, and a Moroccan restaurant. Whew, that's a lot of stuff. lol. Hope you like it!

Italian here! Many Italian villages and towns on the coast resembles Atrani and Luca is highly inspired from a real existing town in the Cinque Terre, so this style of housing is very old Mediterranean Italian but all the pack is inspired also by the other Mediterranean cultures I believe such as Spain and Greece. Your build is absolutely GORGEOUS and could exist in real life too! Thank you so much for this build, I wish I could buy the wedding pack to download this but I don’t think I will buy it unless they fix it unfortunately.

I love this! I use LittleMsSam’s auto employee mod to automatically spawn the vendors on lots without having to spend the 100 simoleons. So much easier!

The way you included the food stalls in the buildings to make them a functional grocery store/restaurant is so genius? Now you don't have to turn the lot type to restaurant to have it function.. it's so simple but I've never thought of that!

I know she built everything up before start recording and I know the video was edited, but watching her put things in the right place without even rotating or erasing and putting them back together is SO SATISFYING ✨
This is breathtaking! Just the right amount of detail and variety, and exactly the right atmosphere! It really feels Italian to me! As always, I love how much thought you put into gameplay as well, and multi-purpose lots are so much fun! 😁
Recently, I've discovered that perhaps the most lively type of community lot is a commuity space (that lot type from Eco Lifestyle) with all its varieties. There are always tons of sims there pursuing the activities meant for the lot type (depending on whether it's a marketplace, maker space or community garden) and dictated by the active N.A.P., and it feels really alive. So I've been experimenting with using those lot types in combination with the right N.A.P.s to create fake multi-purpose lots that don't just look the part but also feel right, even if they might not have the "correct" in-game lot type. (There are glitches when you switch the lot type in build mode and then travel there in live mode when a different lot type is supposed to be active according to the vote though ... Just to warn you. It's not unfixable though with a few quick testing cheats.)
Just thought I would leave this here in case anybody is looking for inspiration. 😉

It's funny that I find this comment, because I was wondering if people find it easier to use community lots with the Eco Lifestyle pack (which I don't have), but I couldn't find anyone who actively uses the pack anymore. I know there were a lot of glitches with it at one point, so I'm just curious if people still have the issue of random sims taking all the furniture in every lot (including non-residential lots) or if it's much easier to deal with now?
Tartosa doesn't just have Italian vibes, honestly. It has ligurian vibes. I'm from tigullio and basically everything over here looks like the shell buildings in the background or in the main square. Lovely build btw!

I wish I was this decisive! But no, I just build everything, film taking away items, and then play it in reverse. It makes the video so much more to the point (which is what I like in a video 😄)

This is SO necessary for Tartosa - it’s so boring on its own! Thank you! Here’s an idea for this world: a beautiful, super-romantic park with lots of activities for all ages, and a roller rink, and - most importantly - lots of places for Sims to woohoo (bushes, obv, and maybe an observatory and/or hot spring? It’s a romance/wedding world, for heaven’s sake and we got 0 new kinds of places to woohoo, and nowhere to have a cheeky woohoo at a venue… thanks again for the beautiful build!!

As an italian I can say that I visited almost every corner of my country and this Is exactly what Italy looks like! (Exept for North Witch Is a bit different) good job👍
An option to help with the lag on a large lot that has multiple types of business on it it to build the and decorate the shell, save it and then create different versions of the same lot. Example one version fir the retail lot and one version as the restaurant. It saves you from the lag and it keeps each version of the lot functioning as the intended business. Unfortunately that means you will have to upload more than one version to the gallery to share.

Re the constant broken packs, I think you could be right about the lack of player testing. I honestly feel like the "gurus" don't actually play the game very much so they don't realise the amount of problems there are. Whenever they do a gameplay live stream for a new pack it always seems to me that the people playing don't seem to have any idea how to play the game... They just know how to show off the new stuff. It's so disappointing 😒

I totally agree with you about that, it does seem like some of the devs don't play the game. I do think it would be helpful if they did though, so they could see just how frustrating the game can sometimes be. It really does seem to me that they need a much bigger budget when it comes to quality assurance and bug fixing ☹️
This is so insane! I've recently gotten back into playing now that I have a computer that will actually run the game, but I'm so not a builder and have a hard time playing in the community lots the sims team build. You are SAVING MY LIFE with all these amazing builds!

this is so realistic and beautiful! I had to slow the video down though because it all went by way to quick for me to appreciate all of it! but if your did that the video would be more than a hour I imagine.. I REALLY hope sims 5 is build better so that the game isn't holding us back so much. it is SO frustrating that the people who love to build like this (me included) just can't because of the lag and general crashes... 4:20 OMG, that's been happening to me a lot recently and I never even connected the dots that it had to do with mannequins until just now!
Absolutely gorgeous build, I can't wait to put it into my game as soon as EA has fixed the bugs that come with the pack. As pretty as the world is, it does not warrant a purchase in its current state. (I wouldn't even consider pirating it at this point in time, that's how bad it is...😬)

Yes, it's on a 50x50 lot. I have seen some smaller builds like this around the community though. I think we all had the same idea since there were no lots in downtown Tartosa. Hopefully you find one that works for you! 😊
Ooh it's so pretty! 💒I'm a builder too but I'm not endorsing EA's "ship unfinished shit and never fix bugs" policy so I'm not buying this pack for a looooong while but I can all the same enjoy other people's builds. ^^ I wish we could have like a Boycott Month across the world with other simmers that no one buys anything as a protest for EA not doing enough to fix this expensive game. It's not the devs, it's EA not funding Sims to fix it. 😠

If I wasn't trying to make a living off of build videos, I wouldn't have bought it either 😓 And I normally don't complain quite this much in voice overs, but the state of the game has really gotten to me lately. Did you see that The Sims has put out a survey to people who didn't buy the pack asking them why? So maybe lots of people didn't buy it, because I've never heard them do that before.
@@RoxxySims I fully understand your situation, I wish people making Sims content online would be very honest in their reviews and preferably (and especially with bigger creators with huge followings) even state "don't buy this pack" if it's really not working. We "normal players" need the real information. 🧐 And I think we too have a duty to vote with our money. We're not influencers but our purchases do make a difference (when we're in thousands, obv) so I don't think I'd have "the right to complain" if I still bought the pack anyways. It would be to say "I accept this" while the state of the game is unacceptable right now.

The good thing is that every really big UA-camr that I watch has said not to buy this pack, except for one (but she doesn't use gameplay, so who knows if she even knew about the bugs before those early videos). So I do think lots of people are warning consumers about this pack. The only problem with that is not everyone who plays The Sims is involved with Sims social media or watches Sims UA-cam. That's why I'm so upset with EA/The Sims, because they shouldn't be selling a pack in this state since not everyone will know about its shortcomings. Of course a bug or two will slip by from time to time, but selling this pack to unsuspecting consumers where almost nothing works is a little too scammy for me. I hope you find that survey and give them a piece of your mind! 😂

There's a workaround for the annoying camera jump. Google "disable Sims 4 camera drift" and you will find it. Basically, if you're on a computer, navigate through C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4\Game\Bin
es (or something similar). Open the camera.ini file and find each instance where it says "ignore lot level= false". I believe there are 4 or 5. Change the word "false" to "true" (without quotes) and save the file. It shouldn't mess anything up, but it doesn't hurt to back up your folder first. It's not perfect, but it helps a lot and I refuse to play without the edited file. :)

This build makes me really curious about the level of planning you do before actually building anything? It looks so incredible but based on the sped up footage it also looks like you hardly did any corrections while building which absolutely blows my mind. Do you just cut out those parts or do you do floor plans + color schemes of everything before you start building? Or are you just that good? The scale and detail of this is amazing.
No, I used to "wing it" in my videos and record myself as I was figuring everything out. But it became too stressful for me, and editing out the long pauses or me changing my mind took ages lol. I wish I was that good though! 😄😄

I know, I wish I could show the catalog! The way I film these causes the catalog to flash constantly and it's super distracting. So cutting that part of the screen out (unfortunately) seems like the best solution to that problem 🥺🥺
My dream is that EA releases an expansion to be able to make buildings with several private homes or make different commercial establishments with different owners on the same lot. It would be AWESOME but I guess that will never happen and just like functional transportation (I miss the cars, taxis and buses from Sims 3)

This is really nice however I keep hearing that this new expansion pack has a lot of glitches which I don't think it do. I really think that when people build lots on some of these expansion packs world and they place things against the grid that is where their game will start to glitch or they use defective mods. If it's not a part of the game it's going to cause the game to glitch so if you're using some type of cheat code in order to place things where you want opposed to placing it on the grid it's going to cause a problem with your gameplay, maybe not immediately but eventually yes it will cause a problem.

I do agree that some glitches can be exasperated/caused by using cheats and mods. But this game pack is truly broken. ☹️
Many people have tried having weddings using the builds that came in the pack (they don't use cheats for these builds) and they just don't work. So unfortunately, this pack has to be fixed with a patch. The Sims team said they will have a patch for it soon, so that's good!
just to add to what Roxxy Sims said--console players have had issues with this pack as well, and they can't download any mods or cc. So it's definitely not a user error lol, the pack itself was veryyy broken

It's a really good movie. Both of them are. The second one made cry though, Mama Mia is the type of movie where you get attached to the characters in the film. So if anything happens to any of them you feel it your heart. But anywho the building is beautiful. Especially when you watch the second one after the renovations are completed. And Sophie has the grand opening party. Yeah you almost feel like you're there

If I use the mod to live on the community lot, can I run 2 businesses?
I'd like to have two families (one in each house), one run the bakery, one run the flower shop. Is that possible or can you only run 1 business on the lot?
Also, do NPC's auto spawn in the other businesses you don't run and that there aren't stalls for (ie the dress shop, restaurants, etc)?

You can set the lot to retail and set both the flowers and cakes to be sold. It will technically be one business, but you can pretend they are separate by having one family do the sales for the flowers and one family do the sales for the cakes 😊 There might be a mod to separate the businesses? But I haven't heard of one.
No, unfortunately NPC's will not spawn on their own for the stalls. I hope they add that one day 🤞 So you have to hire them, but you can always cheat the money back into your Sims account.

Do you find that when you place a lot of items on a lot, they disappear when you log back in? My game does that...
That has been happening to me too! It's so frustrating.
Apparently the shelves and things that came with the Dream Decorator pack are broken. Some of them (or the things on them) are almost always missing when I return to a build. 😭

When its set to be a retail lot, how can I move sims into the apartments?
In those situations I typically have my Sim own an empty lot (with only a mailbox) and then I just have them stay at the retail lot. They technically still live on the residential lot, but only need to go there to pick up some mail. They don't even need to go there to pay bills, since you can do that on the phone. 😊
