The Expride 7’2” MH/Mod-Fast (Glass) is an awesome bladed jig rod. Im sure the Zodias, in that same action, is a player too!
Never knew a Scorpion MGL could look so good on a IMX. When you mentioned lightweight rods for moving baits, I thought of the Madbull straight away. It’s like 4.1 oz but it’s a 7’ even.
This is how a rod review should be. To give an honest review, give price of not only the rod but also similar rods for the same technique, giving the weight of the rod and the ranges you can expect. Also with other options that would be suitable. Great job!

I think when you hit the $300 price point, the rod needs to blow you away or get CLOSE to doing so. A ton of Loomis/Shimano guys still use their MBR-styled rods for bladed jigs, and I think this rod may be a whiff in regards to how guys fish the chatterbait differently in different regions, since this rod only lines up for those who fish them in grass. Here's hoping you get your hands on the Zodias or Expride at some point!
Nice review. I don't mind a one trick pony if it's for a bait I throw the majority of the time I'm fishing. St Croix also has a couple rods in the lineups call the Rip-N-Chatter they came out with a few years ago. I notice Loomis also has an NRX+ BJR... but WOOO, dunno if I like a jackhammer THAT much.
I plan on checking out the Victory line's Rip N Chatter! It's super light weight I've heard, something like 3.8 oz 😁 I also throw chatterbaits a ton, I use a Dobyns Colt believe it or not, amazing rod for the money for moving baits!
I’m wondering if this rod would work with 1/4oz or 3/8th oz fitness jigs on braid pitching. I see other comments about square bills and of course chatterbaits just curious

Do you think this would be good for swim jigs with braid? Or it is composite/glass and too slow of action?
It should double as a swim jig rod as long as you threw it with braid!
Could you throw crank baits on this rod as well if you used fluero? I know you said it’s better with braid, but I’m wondering if I could get away with throwing chatterbaits and crank baits if I use fluero.
I think this rod would throw squarebill crankbaits just fine, especially with fluorocarbon. Personally I wouldn't throw anything that dives deeper than 8' or so with this rod
