An alternative hypothesis is that they had similar dietary habits as the grandmother has, per the anthropological research of Weston Price, who showed in his book, “Nutrition and Physical Degeneration,” that even identical twins can have one with perfect dentition and one with severe crowding, rampant caries, vertical facial growth patterns / narrow face, predisposition to disease, etc.
Perhaps if grandma has a dietary deficiency, open mouth posture, mouth breathing, etc., then why not? But the apparent psychology seems more dependent on the poor physiology / nutrition.
