  • In this video we are looking at the Condor Ironpath + Mini Hudson Bay Knife, as well as featuring a great system from Black Bear Custom Kydex. Overall, the Ironpath did ok and I did like the Mini Hudson Bay. When it comes to choppers from Condor, I'd take the Atrox or the K-Tact Kukri before the Ironpath. Take a look and tell me what you think in the comments.

I have never seen leather clad kydex. Pretty cool. The Hudson Bay just looks like an outdoorsman's knife. Thanks for sharing them with us.

I own and used the Hudson Bay mini, it’s a great do everything utility knife, my only complaint on the mini is the handle size is a bit short. Not much a problem for me with medium size glove hands but another inch in length of the handle and it would be perfect....for everyone.
Was my favourite knife this past summer.

The Ironpath looks more like a machete than a heavy chopper. That thin flat grind means you are going to constantly be struggling to get the blade free from what you're chopping on, just like you do with a machete. I bet it's great for bushwhacking though.

If you square the spine of the blade on a grinder or with a file it will work much better on the ferro rod.

That's a perfect set up, if the bigger knife had more of a tip, but let me ask you is the becker knives or esee knives as big as the size you have, Thanks in advance

Great Luck with your set up

$90 for more machete than what I would consider a chopper or hard use knife is a little bit of a stretch for me. Not to be cheap, but drop the price $20-$30 and it would make more sense.
As a side note about Condors edges and grinds being correct, that not a option in the knife world now. Also, generally speaking, Condors have increased in price so the quality needs to reflect that too. Bottom line, there is a lot of competition out there and although I like my Condors that I own, there are typically better options elsewhere.

I agree 100%...the quality definitely has to get better....

I purchased 2 condors, both had rust already on them when I opened them. Never going to buy another, but I did like their designs.

The Junglas II is 8" not the same as a allmost 10" blade. Just use a striker, much more easy to do.

Do you have a email address for Condor tool and knife, I could do with some advice from them on a defect I have.

    Bit of a bullshit chit-chat...
First of all, why would you carry two blades with similar abilities?
Ironpath is designed for chopping, can be used for more precise tasks.
Little Hudson Bay is practically useless in this combination.
Get a small bushcraft knife with a scandi grind instead.
    Secondly.
    Your chopping technique was rubbish.
Branches, twigs you were chopping were bouncing back.
No wonder you couldn't get a good chips flying over.
Next time, get it into vertical position, chopping is much more effective!
    Thirdly.
Why would you need a finger guard in a chopping tool??😂
During this chopping motion, your hands is moving away from blade, not towards it!
Handle is slightly rounded/curved, so it helps holding your palm in place.
Ps. Have you ever seen a parang, golok or barong?
    Or perhaps Caucasian shashka?
    Or smash chet?
Those don't have any finger/palm protection.

Why do none of you guys who have UA-cam channels and show of the knives you are reviewing never show the spine of the knoves you review? You showed both sides of the big Condor, the handle, the sides of the blade, yet you never showed how thick the spine was?? Why???? Are you young guys just not smart enough to show all aspects pf the knoves you are reviewing? Thumbs down young man! And I stopped watching this video at 2:00 minutes into it!
