I recently purchased this knife. This was one of the best reviews I found. It's sharp, has great weight to chop through things. It's the perfect all allrounder. I am in love with this knife! The only improvement for me could be a slightly more contoured thicker handle and a lanyard hole but short of that this is such a perfect survival, camp, shtf knife that isn't costing your a ridiculous amount of money. Condor knows what they are doing for bushcraft survival.

Awesome knife, had one for over a decade, one of the early ones that had the powder coated blade. It was pretty sharp as purchased, and holds an edge well. When I had a wood stove, I used it to split all my kindling. Only faults I could find, the swivel sheath failed, and the powder coating looked so bad after a little use, I polished it all off. Homely looking knife, but very practical and versatile.

I made my Seax because the dual purpose suits light travel. I dual ground it so the 4" at the heel is 'knife' sharp and the remainder is chopper grade.

My dad bought one of these and he took the swivel loop off, cut the stitches out and riveted on a a new belt loop that is level with the top and just restitched with a heavier waxed thread and double stitched it after recontouring the leather for a more snug fit. Took about 45 minutes to an hour and he's carried that thin constantly ever since.

Love the wood slabs on it, very nice! If I hadn’t recently bought a British Army “survival” knife that’s been modified, I’d be interested in getting one of these, that is a veritable beast of a knife, at least 8mm thick blade, it’s built like a crow bar, a shaving sharp crow bar!😁 Also have my wonderful Terävä Skrama 240. Mind you, it does look a lovely knife, I do like it’s old school appearance……mmmmmmm…..maybe I do need another 🤣😂🤣🤓

I bought this knife to use when I could not carry an axe or Hatchet. It does everything you say and more. I filed the spine and slightly reprofiled the grind. I do not like the swivel belt loop. I may remove it or have a custom sheath built to carry the knife in the traditional mountain man style. I love the (very) slight recurve.

Looks good Andy. I can see the value of a knife like that for processing game, but for normal woodsy stuff I would prefer a smaller knife like my SBT and a hawk. That would cover any eventuality for me, even shelter building can be done with a hawk, it just takes longer than using an axe.

Nice video Andy 👍. I got the Canadian Tier knock off last year 🤨. Decent blade, scales only lasted about 3 months. Be4 cracking & splitting , only cost $ 28 tho. So DON'T buy Knives- Akes, Tents or savival equipment form them. You think you are saving cash 😉, in the long run. You will have to replace it, or repear it in a couple of months time . That's why they Nike Name is CRAPY TIER 🤣😛🤪.

I’ve accumulated several condors, and I’ve owned a Hudson Bay for a while. I don’t carry it much. The ergonomics aren’t great for regular use compared to other knife models around a similar price. To rely on in the woods for a similar cost, I would take a Cold Steel Survivalist in 52100, or a Cold Steel Leatherneck SF in D2 any day of the week. Condor has a LOT of QC inconsistencies. If you must have a Condor, then my Stratos is the best knife of theirs I own that I would feel secure in relying on in a survival scenario, although it is scandi ground so it’s not the most ideal for all survival tasks. These days I tend to take either my Esee 6, Esee Laserstrike, or my Tops Silent Hero with me if I need a foolproof tool with no quality issues and designed to handle most anything that can be required.
