Back in 1986 Tom Petersson was living in NYC and had a 4 piece band called Spuyten Duyvil and then changed to Sick Man Of Europe. In the band playing guitar was Pete Comita and vocalist Jana Allen. I had a recordable Sony Walkman at the time and recorded the band's show at CBGB and at The Cat Club. Must find those tapes to give to Tardis.

That would wonderful and much appreciate it. I'm a professional producer and sound engineer when I'm not touring. I have about 50 cassettes that people have sent me this past year to work on.

@@TARDISNCOOKIES In 1984/85/86 I would travel out of New York City to go see Cheap Trick play in clubs in Poughkeepsie and New Haven, Ct. Both about 90 minutes by car from NYC. I taped the Poughkeepsie shows at a club called The Chance. If I can find all these shows I'll let you know. Maybe you can upload them.

Another good one from a pivotal time for the band. Still playing some top venues mixed with downsizing back to small auditoriums and theatres. This one had its set list noted on set list FM, However, the show I saw from The Universal Amphitheatre in the Los Angeles area does not ...we know there are tapes out there. Love that new ones keep showing up! Search everyone's' closets, check the "flea markets'...don't throw cassettes away with out checking!

I was at that Universal Amphitheater show (Zebra opened). I remember the set list being similar. I was stoked they played their soundtrack songs, and played something from every album they had out. It was great to hear this show as I haven’t come across o many 1983 NPP Tour recordings.

@@dukeofkbs Great show wasn't it!? Zebra put on a good show as well. Yes the soundtrack songs were real cool to hear. There is an existing tape of that Amphitheatre show out there...I though the guy who taped it made more copies. Maybe not....Maybe we have a new mission for our host! In addition, I have 1982 Hollywood Palladium (after the LA Sports Arena show was cancelled) , and rare recordings from Magic Mountain 1984.

@@romelovesdan Wow! I’d enjoy hearing that show as well as the Hollywood Palladium 82 show. I was at that one in the Front row! (Novo Combo opened). I remember was it Rick Ocasek who came out for the encore of Day Tripper? You should get your recordings to Tardis! He does great work! I got my (30 year uncirculated) recoding of Tom’s first Publix show back with the band from ‘87. It’s on his channel here in You Tube! I’ve always liked the ‘82-‘86 era live show recordings, so this channel is an awesome find!

@@dukeofkbs GREAT MEMORY! IK was maybe fourth deep on Tom's side. His amps shook my soul. Yes, Rick Ocasek joined them on Day Tripper. Remember Robin's 'White stripe suit almost Zebra-esq!? Did you have tix for the cancelled 1982 LA Sports arena show? I was so disappointed! The previous two New Year's eve's shows in LA were so cool. Great thing about 82-86 is that we hear definitive versions of the songs from those LPs. More Rocking and harder edged. Wish we had a Tardis to go back and relive or see what we missed, At least we have a method here on this channel. Hopefully everyone who needs 'tips' our host Tardis N Cookies..

@@romelovesdan Yes! That Palladium show was LOUD. I made it to pretty much what resembled the front row for that show which was general admission. And of course Robin’s
suit! And I did have tickets (and good seats) for that canceled ‘82 show. I was super bummed because they were co-billed with Rainbow and I was so looking forward to seeing Ritchie Blackmore play guitar! I’d missed him in ‘81 when he’d played Los Angeles at The Forum with The Pat Travers Band. And I agree that this is a great source of the live references to that era of Cheap Trick’s live versions of songs. The live versions were always more raw sounded than some of the production choices that were made on records from the era. Even the songs on “The Doctor” that they played live in ‘86 were really good live!
