Funny story: I always wanted to try and play as Fox since Melee when I was a kid. I always mistook him for Tails, being a SEGA kid then. Hopefully now I can get into playing Fox, maybe as a secondary to my main Sonic
Yup fox has been my main since melee along with falco. Now I just play all the spacies but fox has the most time out into him. I just love the spacies play style in general, all great characters
I'm not feeling Fox. He's fun and can do some dirty stuff, but he has to work a lot harder than other characters. At the tip-top level I think he's going to be a beast, but absolutely anywhere below that I don't see him doing too well, honestly.
To clarify, yeah I think he's going to be top 15 at the least, but players that don't necessarily have the time and dedication to really be big tournament threats should look elsewhere.
Im a Fox main and can definitely speak for the working harder than most other characters. I may be out playing people the entire time, but because of his lightness and lack of options off stage, I still loose the match. You have to be super careful as you play him, and very precise. There's not a whole lot of grace when it comes to the character. But regardless of all that, I freaking love fox in this game. He feels so much better than in Smash 4. Mostly because Ultimate feels incredible haha
I feel the complete opposite. I think his recovery too easily punished at the highest level, but at lower level you can get away with it. Fox is very popular in tournament right now, so people are going to be highly incentivized to practice punishing it, and the majority of the cast can beat, on reaction, illusion and fire fox. but at the lower levels, people aren't going to be as practiced at covering all the options and timings you can vary your recovery with, and as long as you can get back to stage several times per stock, you stand a chance at actually winning. But if you die like every other time you get knocked off stage or more, then you're going to have to be monstrously better on stage than your opponent to make up the difference.
@@idecayi7102 some people are playing sheik in tourny recently and doing pretty well. Shes comin back. People just needed some light buffs to get over the fact she does so little damage now
Good video but I was wondering if you can do an Ike all the other ones are difficult to understand to me and I personally think you’re guides are the best and easiest to understand
codtrailersq8 I did and I actually found it very helpful. The only thing is I feel like the way Void makes his guides they are easier to understand and relate to my play style
@@bodacious12 I wasn't serious, i just started playing melee and its a cool machanic, but it doesn't belong in ultimate, but falco's jump cancel shine might... lol
How come i can never confirm anything at low % i do dash attacking > up tilt > nair. And a lucina can get a dair out before i can even connect my nair... and im buffering my nair out of the up tilt
@@kylecouture1917 uptilt is jank, there's like 3 hitboxes with different knockback values and directions. Strong grounded uptilt at 0-15% only leads to jab or grab. With dash attack uptilt at 0-20%, the opponent can actually attack you before you can nair so I would pop a shield up to try and parry. Opponent will do 1 of 3 things, falling aerial, double jump, or airdodge. Being patient in your shield and reacting is the best way to continue the string
Didn't even watch a minute, but I can already tell that this guide is gonna be good!
Especially from the random equations and symbols and letters in the background

Ew sonic
don't play sonic
3 weeks later. Fox is considered even better than he was in smash4 by most.
Volume is very quiet in comparison to the ads that pop up. Can you improve the sound volume for next video pls void? Thanks!
I just tried him yesterday to see if I can take him as a secondary then you post that video
Thanks dude :D
Compression vs dynamics. Ads are designed to be super compressed and blast ur ears. I personally think it is v annoying.
Thanks for the tutorial Larry Lurr!
Larry Lurr was ready for that roll!!! Lmao
Any Fox mains out there?
Right here
potentially
Hi guys I'm a fox and wolf main but no I'm not a furry just enjoy there play styles
Yup fox has been my main since melee along with falco. Now I just play all the spacies but fox has the most time out into him. I just love the spacies play style in general, all great characters
If I don't drop the game altogether
This was a great guide thank you! Any chance you could make a Falco Guide?

Did you check out Zeros guide on him?
codtrailersq8 I did and I actually found it very helpful. The only thing is I feel like the way Void makes his guides they are easier to understand and relate to my play style
Just Nair
Posture check
You should make a how to play wolf guide
Anybody know when to dash attack and when to neutral air? I never know which one I should choose when attacking the opponent.
Yes sir
Korean I miss you!!!
Playing Fox is easy, just multishine and... oh wait
bring back multi shine plzzzz, would be so hype
@@idecayi7102 yeah just bring the most overpowered move from melee, no probs

Wario and Rob Dtilt spam is the new multishine lul
ShawnRay Fox in melee is actually hard
Quick question can anyone explain burst option?
Just means something the character can do quickly to get a lot of damage or good position, but doesn't really lead up to anything
Very quick moves. They can lead into things. Falcon side b as an example is a burst option that can get the enemy to insane %.
How come i can never confirm anything at low % i do dash attacking > up tilt > nair. And a lucina can get a dair out before i can even connect my nair... and im buffering my nair out of the up tilt
at lower % it's harder to combo out of dash attack and up tilt
@@gsmVoiD so whats garunteed at low %m. Just DA>Utilt>jab? And u have to guess which side the enemy lands after up tilt?
