Inspired by a true story of a friend and filmed at LAX Airport, we came together to make this film in order to put a face of humanity on the complex immigration issue. Ty for watching!
Beautiful film, well directed. I love moments like this when women help each other and shift the paradigm. Brava on bringing this story to a wide audience.
Extraordinary! Congratulations to the director Lisa Cole, and entire cast and crew! And Congratulations to casting director Caroline Liem! Excellent Film!
As a child of a child of an immigrant, this film has some deep relevance. The themes of pursuing the American dream, separation of families, and humanity caught in a complex societal conflict frame the universal love of mothers. Cinematically-shot, directed, acted, and edited well, this hits your heart and soul.
Great film, I really have no idea how this doesn't have millions of views. This should be watched by all americans, and I would dare to say all the world should see it. Keep the great filmmaking.
It was Digitally VIDEOED, not filmed. It's a SHORT not a "short film." :-) Film, filming, and filmmaking are the most misused words in the industry. 🙂 Digital Video and film require different skill sets. Having DIFFERENT historical and TECHNOLOGICAL timelines spanning 150 years. Have pride and knowledge of the gear we use including the words that describe what we do. Our tools are Digital Video, Non-linear, and CGI. We are moviemakers, not filmmakers. We do what film wished it could. We are Videographers and/or cinematographers. 🙂 We video or are videoing, we do not film. That's the other RARE professionals who know how to use film and film cameras, like an ARRIFLEX 435 Panavision R-200 and Steenbeck flatbed film editors. Know the difference and have a better understanding of the craft. You will also stand out in an industry polluted with point-and-shoot "pros". Respect to you.✌♥

I hope at one point Imani gets to see this film, and the impact she had on Elizabeth and Christopher.
This is such a powerful short film. Actor Destiny Nelson was phenomenal. I hope to see her in more movies soon.
