Beautiful! I haven't laughed so hard at an animation in ages. Really exemplified what parents are compelled to do for their offspring no matter the challenge or roadblock. Deserves all those awards and I can't wait to see more about this family and/or species of this flightless, delightfully awkward bird.

@@hurrypeter No, it is not. The one that carry the eggs is the mother. Maternal instinct are the strongest in nature. A lot of male only have the role of fertilizer and go away after that. ^^
Pretty sad because in animal world, parents try hard until their death to protect their babies while human parents take drugs or alcohol and beat their children or abandon them alone at home. I have seen homeless dogs and cats with injuries, maggot rudden and even with severe vomiting, still searching hor food for their babies, and most going back and dying close of starvation, staying to their babies.. until death.
Even though we cannot determine the gender of these birds from their images, the fact that we are sure which of the two arguing birds is male and which is female tells us a lot about gender roles, doesn't it... It's a great production, congratulations.

Pretty sad because in animal world, parents try hard until their death to protect their babies while human parents take drugs or alcohol and beat their children or abandon them alone at home. I have seen homeless dogs and cats with injuries, maggot rudden and even with severe vomiting, still searching hor food for their babies, and most going back and dying close of starvation, staying to their babies.. until death.
