Invisible Man vs. Invisible Stan is the match I tell every person who wants to be a Referee to watch. Because it shows how much impact the ref can have on the match
The best thing about the eye for an eye match, was Scott D'Amore mocking it on Impact a few weeks later. Serious question. How was Rey magically growing his eyeball back explained on tv?
You could of stuck to officially titled Hardcore matches, and still filled a list. My favorite example would be Al Snow having a full match against himself. Not a Doppelgänger, he just tossed himself around the ring and hit himself with weapons
If we're gonna talk about wacky Hardcore Matches, then you gotta bring up The Fish Market Street Fight. I'm hooked on that match. It's not bait, and you get exactly what's on the tin. Team 3D were in reel trouble.
I was just listening to one of Cornette’s Omnibus podcasts about the worst of AEW yesterday and he talked about this “match”. He said something along the lines of that this wanted to make him give up on the company, give up on wrestling as a whole if this is what’s the future is and was BRUTAL about it lol. Him and Brian Last. The only good thing he said was that he felt bad for Eddie Kingston because Eddie ran out at the end and didn’t want to break character so he ended up laying there selling until they picked him up and took him to the back 🤣
Nothing will top Japan in the 80s and 90s. Terry Funk and Mick Foley were born in blood and fire over there. It’s a shame that Terry hadn’t the chance to write a full autobiography and Mick Foley doesn’t talks much about it even in his biographies. So you have to search the internet to get the picture. Man Japan was insane.
still with the "judy bagwell on a forklift match?" IT WAS A REGULAR MATCH WON BY PINFALL!! even the stipulation has been done many times, including recently: winner gets the services of.... either the manager or valet in question, or sometimes the loser of the match becomes the servant of the winner.. with normal pinfall or submission rules (no dq, evidently) Judy Bagwell was Buff's manager, if he lost then Kanyon was to have judy on contract, if buff won he get's her back while it was silly that she was even involved, it's not even close to the most bizarre hardcore match.. and buff won BY PINFALL!! so it's just a regular no DQ match. even if they did SAY it was a judy bagwell on a pole match, or on a forklift match, it was NOT... it was won by pinfall. you can watch it on youtube or the wwe network. (which is odd, i didn't know that worked in the US still, but i just watched it there for free)
I hate to break this to you but "hardcore" IS just a no DQ match. I'm not sure where you got the idea that it wasn't. They are literally the same thing. The difference is primarily just the setup. NoDQ matches are usually either an excuse to use weapons or interference while primarily focusing on a "real match" (and are easy setups to get managers involved, since interference is basically a given). Hardcore matches usually have weapons directly in sight and tend to fixate on the use of the weapons more than "real wrestling". But as rules? They're basically identical. In fact, "hardcore" isn't a match type of its own. Simply a modifier for other match types. So, you could have a Hardcore Submission match,
@@deadersurvival4716 i'm not sure where you got that i was debating anything about hardcore match or no dq, even call it raven's rules, extreme rules, tribal combat... whatever. my point was it was NOT any kind of "on a pole" or "on a forklift" or any actual weird stipulation.. it was just a regular (hardcore) match with a pinfall victory. even if Kanyon called it something else, it had the regular hardcore rules with PINFALL. so, not a "Bizarre hardcore" as the list was suppose to be.
Im surprised this video didnt mention Japanese Promotion 666's "Twin Towers Explosion Fire Deathmatch" from around 2005, it was Jun Kasai and Crazy SKB(the owner of the company who was/is the lead singer of a japanese punk band) vs 'Osama Bin Laden and Saddam Hussein'. The finish of the match was SKB doing a somersault senton onto "Saddam Hussein" while wearing a leather jacket where the back was covered in fused together exploding firecrackers.
The same show as the damn Blindfold match, the first match between James Storm and Chris Harris after their split; they have the bloody Street Fight everyone expected a month later, but lost their expected bloody *Cage* Match war due to Russo, Jarrett and Mantel deciding 1991 WWF would look good in 2007 TNA...
Sooooooo, the Moxley vs. Omega exploding ring death match DIDN'T make this list..............I WONDER WHY???? Hey Simon, if TK was going to sign you, he would've already done it by now!!!!
One match you have forgotten. This would have beaten them all. You would need to watch it. ARW (Atomic Revolutionary Wrestling) match is called Intergalactic Doomsday FS Match
Invisible Man vs. Invisible Stan is the match I tell every person who wants to be a Referee to watch. Because it shows how much impact the ref can have on the match
4:26 I'm DYING at the Johnny Sins doppelgänger reference 😂💀 Simon you're too good lmaoo
In before it starts, The bread eating deathmatch needs to be here
That sounds like a match I see in DDT😂.
this guy wants to be Bronson so bad
The best thing about the eye for an eye match, was Scott D'Amore mocking it on Impact a few weeks later.

im so happy the king of the road match is here, it was like an episode of the dukes of hazzard 😂

Technically, wasn't he fighting his mannequin head? (Or was that a different match?)
But wait, Simon; who was The Blacktop Bully for those that don't know? Not like you to miss an opportunity to bring him up...
I personally was intrigued by the kennel-from-hell match. It had so much potential.
On paper, it sounded like a cool idea. Then you see the match and understand why there never was another one.
If we're gonna talk about wacky Hardcore Matches, then you gotta bring up The Fish Market Street Fight. I'm hooked on that match. It's not bait, and you get exactly what's on the tin.
Team 3D were in reel trouble.
SIMON'S HARDCORE! SIMON'S HARDCORE!
👏 👏 👏👏👏
Surprised the Mox vs Omega sparkler train wreck did make the list.

Do love the invisible man Vs invisible Stan goofy wrestling for life
This is for the people who said a wrestler is so good that they can wrestle a broomstick LBVS

FACTS.
I was about 11 years old when "The King of the Road" match happened, I loved it!!!! 😅😅😅
I feel like the Tower of Doom match is the closest a big promotion has ever come to an actual dungeon match
Didn’t Al Snow have a match where he wrestled himself?

Let's see if Scramblefire or the Bathhouse Brawl make it on one of these lists finally.
no mention that Dustin and Bully were fired for this match for blading ??
I don't think it was this match it was a match in the ring.
Hardly hardcore but check out Danhausen v Psycho Steve, all I'm saying, a classic of it's kind
Simon is the only redeemable thing at WhatCulture
Simon's so buff because he's carrying the whole brand.
I totally forgot Dustin Rennels was signed to WCW.
Don't you remember seven?
@JBharvey1984 watch the upload again and listen to how he says his name he says Rennels not Runnels.
That eye for an eye should've definitely been number 1 😂

Oh my God guy! The mini clip with the fireworks in the sky at nr 7 is from my hometown 🖤🖤🤘🏻🤘🏻
Anyone remember the BJPW event- deathmatch at kojika's house? That would be worth a video
There was a lemon, salt and mustard deathmatch in Japan in 2000. Not sure if that counts though 😂😂
11:13 How have i never heard Cornette lose his mind about this?
Al Snow & Pepper Steak is always on a WTF list
Hardcore matches can be dangerous.
Nah , they know how to land .
I Got One The Electrified Cage Match From TNA Lockdown 2007 Anyone God That Was Awful.
"Always give me the nonsense" needs to be a shirt
Sooooooo, the Moxley vs. Omega exploding ring death match DIDN'T make this list..............I WONDER WHY???? Hey Simon, if TK was going to sign you, he would've already done it by now!!!!
Simon, did you say Pepper was *actually* Al Snow's dog who had died? And *that's* why the WWF did *this* angle?
🤣🤣🐶🐕
Anyone remember the Christmas match at Bar Wrestling with Macaulay Culkin in it?
Some of the craziness in indy hatdcore is ridiculous there doing it for very little infront of very few
Damn Simon lay of the juice
didnt you guys already do this???????
You had me at anus.
Dude the invisible man match was so much fun. That match made him my favorite ref of all time, no bs.
SIMON MILLER is awesome ! 😊😎🍻💪🏼
Any match Darby Allin is in should be marketed as hardcore . He can't even walk across a street without it becoming hardcore.
Nice
I hear Simon, I watch. That simple.
One match you have forgotten.
This would have beaten them all. You would need to watch it.
ARW (Atomic Revolutionary Wrestling) match is called Intergalactic Doomsday FS Match
The FS stands for Freakshow
The fs part is Freekshow (spelt wrong on purpose lol
Where can I watch it?
@gregcooper1991 triller for free or daily motion. Google the title of the match and you will find it. You'll see that needed to be on the list lol
Muscles.
Zero newjack matches really
His matches didn't have crazy hardcore stips, he was just crazy
No Punjabi Prison Match?
Joey Janela vs. The Invisible Man ladder match
Is this guy trying to be the most annoying possible? If yes he's great
I'm genuinely surprised WhatCulture is still a thing
