- Nexon has recently announced that if players do not link their account to Nexon, their accounts will be reset. However, in this video, I will show you that even if you do link your account currently, it will reset you anyways.

That is not correct. What the patch note means is, when you PRESS "reset account" on an account which IS already linked, it took 15 days to actually get wiped, now they changed this to 3 days.
If you have an account which is NOT linked AND you press "reset account" it is effective immediatley.
You do NOT have to link your account, otherwise you'll run risk of the nexon account overwriting your steam account.

Hey boss, hopefully you figured this out already on your own but there should be a way to fix this according to discussion on the Steam Community for the game. Here's what I took from the whole thing.
1. Linking your steam with a Nexon Account will reset your progress, as you did in this video.
2. Un-Linking your steam and Nexon Accounts should revert and you should get your progress back.
That news post only applies to the following scenarios:
1. Starting August 8th 2024, If you play on STEAM with a LINKED NEXON ACCOUNT and you CHOOSE to reset your progress in the settings, you have 3 days to change your mind instead of 15.
2. If your STEAM account is NOT LINKED with a NEXON ACCOUNT and you CHOOSE to reset your progress you will have no grace period to change your mind and progress will be immediately reset without being able to revert.
Summary: If you play on steam, and haven't linked your Nexon account, don't do it. The only thing this changes for STEAM ONLY users is if you accidentally or on purpose click the account reset button in the settings, you will not have 3 days to revert the change. Please let me know if I am wrong but that's what I could gather from the community discussions. The developers news post was in broken English and very hard to understand what they really meant. And please let me know if un linking got your progress back. I don't think they're making players link before August 8, 2024.

To not get your characters wiped when linking you have to have your steam game RUNNING whilst making a new Nexon account with a new email address, this is important as you can't make the account separately and then link it in game. I ran into this issue when trying to link both Xbox and PC where my PC level 2 was overriding my xbox level 40 characters. Note: this is separate from the issue in the video, they aren't going to delete your characters.
Unlink your Nexon account from your account management in-game as it creates a shell account with a brand new file that overrides your steam data. Unlinking should restore/use your steam data instead of the nexon data file. Worked on my end. Hope it works for you bro!
yes I already have got it back, I am just waiting on aug 8 as they said theyll delete all unlinked accounts, to my understanding.
@Zayerlord it should not affect you unless you clicked on the account reset. This is at least my understanding of its poor verbiage/translation.

Okay So here is the thing that would of solved and saved you from making this video at all in the first place, When you at the log in screen, It takes a few seconds to load your account and if you went into the options menu to where the linked account was you would of seen that your steam account was all ready linked. It created a linked account the very first time you used steam, Now As far As I understand for Xbox/PS you did indeed need to create a Nexxon Account prior to log in and linked your Xbox/PS account to it. So upon logging in you would go to link account and bam.
If you want to play on different platforms - link your account, but lose the progress on the current platform.
If you want to play on your current platform - don't link nexon account.
Non-linked accounts won't be deleted. Do not be fools.

this happened to me too but I fixed it by going into Options and account. Then clicked on my account associated with the game and I got my account back.

Why'd you even play without having it linked 😂 should've done that from the start. And yeah, like others said. The reset is immediately if you go to options and hit the reset button and type the stuff in to reset it
