@Plaz1398 I find the hard part being able to aim at the tube coming out of his mouth. I can dps it down on my own, but when you're on a controller and don't have that kb&m aim, it sucks. Personally, would love for the devs to adjust his animation/movement when he is charging it up.

I'm about to give up. If I grab the device, nobody shoots the mouth. If I don't grab it, 90% of the time nobody does. And if by the grace of God someone else grabs it, I just barely can't do enough damage consistently by myself. This is painful
It's definitely not an easy mechanic it's why it's the final wall for players before hard mode. They need to actually learn to coordinate and know their roles.

The predicament I'm in is called Schrodinger's Cube Runner. I can pick up and run the cube or I can do damage to the mouth whichever choice I make my teammates will not fulfill the other end of the fight. I exist in a state of quantum superposition between Cube Runner and damage dealer.

I’d like to assess your comment on the guy dropping the cube. That is in fact what happens when you get stunned. It flops on the ground and you have to pick it up. I tested it multiple times after you said that lol
Nay, you grab the thing and run and pray your team destroys the mouth cannon. Both sides have a job. The runner is usually the top player (skillwise) on the team. Who will grab the cube and evade attacks. The other 3 (usually less skilled but with high dps) will target the mouth cannon (as shown). If the mouth cannon is destroyed while the runner holds the cube, the fluid in the tubes in the center will go down. Only once the fluid is low enough, should the runner deposit the cube and take the hanged man out of the enraged state so you can kill him.
I'm gonna just say it. This boss was somehow easier tha Pyro. lol Aside from the cube mechanic + insta death, if you go in after watching a video like this, or just with someone who knows what to do, it's very simple. Even if you're squishy. I was so confused why the bosses after Pyro were easier lol That said, I've unlocked hard mode, but haven't had the guts to try one of the bosses yet haha Just been farming gear at energy activators/crystal catalysts and mods.
Bosses are okay, but I'm also waiting to farm an energy activator and some catalysts. The catalysts are no problem but the activator is murder. Decided to get ultimate bunny first. Then I'll carry on haha

@@RealAsianRobot absolutely. Ive had such a bad experience with this fight and most videos only break down half of it and seemed rushed. Either people dont carry the bomb long enough or they continue to carry it after destroying the tongue multiple times
Think this boss has ruined the game for me. Forcing you to rely on randoms for mechanics ect. to progress the questline/story is just not it... I have yet to find 1 random group that has literally any idea of what theyre doing. Like once someone grabs the cube people just stand around doing nothing they refuse to look at the boss at all or pay any attention. It has been literally every attempt ive done so far. and sadly all my friends who played have pretty much quit the game already.
@INS4NEL3G3ND Sounds like you need better friends. It took a few runs with randoms but eventually we got it right. Yes, sometimes people don't listen, but it is doable 😁👍. Just do take note, many players are still scaling the wall and slowly growing. Game is literally in week 2 right now lol
Have to admit that’s me out, all night trying to clear this guy and I’m done. Either you pick the cube up and your clueless teammates (usually bunny’s) run around in circles or when someone does pick it up your the only one shooting its mouth, game needs some sort of fireteam finder if it includes mechanics in boss fights.
There is a little cheese you can do. If you look at my hard mode executioner video. I show how I beat it. If you copy the Tamer build I put in that vid along with what I used to survive him. You can cheese hangman by yourself practically. The only downside is you need to catalyze your Tamer 4 times, but it's great for basically ignoring your team and pushing through.
This bods was such a pain in the butt to do with random people.. had one time where I had two bunnies in the game and neither one wanted to grab the cube so I ended up being a runner with gley lol
Well we did it with friends to show you the example, but people can clear it with randoms. My first clear was with randoms. So if you don't have friends. Your best bet is to instruct the randoms and play they are semi decent lol
I commented on one of your previous videos about my def problem which is more or less fixed now. Went from 14k to 36k, will that be enough for hanged man?
@gamermike24 in general yes lol. However I recommend getting some electric resistance as well. 36k is decent but some of his attacks will smack you down so do be careful 😁👍
@@gamermike24 i did hangman with 15k defense, 10k health, and 300 shield hint: defense scales terribly, you'll see a 10% decrease in damage from 14k-36k the main focus you want is HP and resistance, I went overkill with electric resistance at 5392, but my health was 10k. THAT let me tank *atleast* 8 more lightning strikes when i was runner and still survive from health dropped by those little things he spawns. also in general you should be focusing on health rather than shield, sure shield regenerates but there's no pickups that drop from enemies to refill that best ways to increase health are external components, then descendant modules such as "Increased HP" "HP Amplification" and "Time Distribution" (which scale off of max HP from components), get all of those semi-maxed out along with "Increased DEF" and "Electric Antibody" and if you know how to dodge his attacks you wont die

For anyone who doesn’t know, I think it’s important to mention you can’t use abilities or generally do anything while you’re holding that device other than move forward and try to dodge lightning strikes. I was Bunny and thought I could use speed but that makes you drop the device instantly. Maybe that’s what your friend did when they dropped it.
I got lucky and paired with some random people that just dps the thing to death before its mechanic could even happen. Thank god cuz this looks painful and randoms are my only choice

Question is tech master better for freyna since all ger abilities are tech? I watched another video & the tech booster almost doubles the damage. I think you get more dmg using the tech master or toxic.
You cannot avoid it lol. It's a mechanic and many bosses in future will have it. You have to learn how to beat the mechanic (as explained and shown in the video)
Because modifier is better with DoT characters like freyna and valby. The lower base skill power scaling is, the more effective it is to add modifier. It's like no point for Ajax because both of his attack skills are like 1000%. I don't know he did this on purpose, considering he chose spear and shield over iron defense.
I'll be real with you, it's because I didn't know about multipliers prior to investing in it. I'm showing what I beat it with, but you can honestly run toxic specialist (which will feature in my Freyna video) since the toxic damage acts as a multiplier and is literally superior in every way to toxic master
You are correct about modifier. I did not actually take note of the difference between the two and I thank you for the new knowledge 😁👍. But toxic master doesn't have the modifier affix. It was an increase to skill power (base) and for this reason I have to be honest that I did not consider toxic specialist before because I did not realise toxic was a separate multiplier. I was simply showing what I beat this boss with. However, in reality toxic specialist is better
Bild will help you couse if you kill him under 2 mins you dont ned to do mechanics sugest gley aither with misile bild or somthing else with very high dmg and activators done farming activators is easier later
There is an alternative solution. Farm 4 crystallization catalysts, put it into a Tamer. Set it up the way I have it set for the Hard Mode executioner (guide is on the channel) and you will be able to stomp it 😁👍
This vid was made before the switch to hp. However we still best him at the time with a defense focus ;). If you check the latest vids we have switched to mostly hp
@angelrosario9957 yeah it's the first boss with a mechanic. Best thing to do is just keep trying or try to lead then if you can. Worst case scenario. Just give then this video 🤣🤣
I don't know what difficulty or settings you are using but, when the gun pulls out of his mouth, he maintains his head still, thing that doesn't happen in my game, he keeps squirming around like a worm on a hot surface. Plus, you are being a jerk there.
I just did this boss for the first time today and the other players had enough dps to melt it before 8 minute mark. If you're lucky you won't have to do the mechanic at all.
There was a guy on First Descendant chat helping randoms with Normal and Hard bosses, he posted his twitch name and it's "tadiz" . He helped me out with Pyro boss, if he's online he'll help ya out too

Actually no, for normal mode we won easily with defense. However HP is indeed better so you can adjust as needed. This vid was produced at the time with the stats that we won with.
@@RealAsianRobot understand but you might wanna get hp over defence because when hp hits 0 you downed unlike defence. 10k defence gives about 40% dmg mitigation and so tell me if defence is so OP why do people die when they have near max defence than people with max hp and above 10k defence
@Tobykanobi1 watch my latest video. 10k defense is nowhere near 40% damage mitigation. Not sure who taught you that. 10k is barely 20%. But yes, we have already switched over to hp. However take note that this video was created awhile back, and at the time, everyone built defense. We survived using defense and I shared how I beat the hangedman with my build at the time. As new information comes out, we learn more. However I made these guides as I played through the story F2P so the video simply shows what I used at the time. It may not reflect what is most efficient. That said, please do your fact checks before presenting them. 10k defense is NOT 40% reduction.
This is a really easy fight he’s squishy as hell the hard part is getting 3 other players to understand the fight

Does the cube work like carrying stuff for missions? Can you grapple and not drop the cube?
As far as I remember, you cannot grapple. We call it temple run for that reason. Just keep running and survive kek

The access menu in game will show you where you can farm it with the highest drop rate.
Use the Access Info tab. It helps you find anything and you can choose where to grind :D

Why toxic master over toxic specialist int he battle slot? She's 100% toxic... any reason?
Because modifier is better with DoT characters like freyna and valby.
The lower base skill power scaling is, the more effective it is to add modifier. It's like no point for Ajax because both of his attack skills are like 1000%.
I don't know he did this on purpose, considering he chose spear and shield over iron defense.
I'll be real with you, it's because I didn't know about multipliers prior to investing in it.
I'm showing what I beat it with, but you can honestly run toxic specialist (which will feature in my Freyna video) since the toxic damage acts as a multiplier and is literally superior in every way to toxic master
You are correct about modifier. I did not actually take note of the difference between the two and I thank you for the new knowledge 😁👍.
But toxic master doesn't have the modifier affix. It was an increase to skill power (base) and for this reason I have to be honest that I did not consider toxic specialist before because I did not realise toxic was a separate multiplier.

Bild will help you couse if you kill him under 2 mins you dont ned to do mechanics sugest gley aither with misile bild or somthing else with very high dmg and activators done farming activators is easier later
When the runner phase is on, how do you know the damage is enough
If you broke the cannon, the damage is enough. If you can't break the cannon, then you're screwed basically

There is an alternative solution. Farm 4 crystallization catalysts, put it into a Tamer. Set it up the way I have it set for the Hard Mode executioner (guide is on the channel) and you will be able to stomp it 😁👍

We get it! It's tough haha. It's why I had to bring my friends on, they are highly experienced so it helps even when messing around

I don't know what difficulty or settings you are using but, when the gun pulls out of his mouth, he maintains his head still, thing that doesn't happen in my game, he keeps squirming around like a worm on a hot surface.

I just did this boss for the first time today and the other players had enough dps to melt it before 8 minute mark. If you're lucky you won't have to do the mechanic at all.
I couldn't beat this boss even with a team and so i just deleted the game out of rage 😫😫😫

Actually no, for normal mode we won easily with defense. However HP is indeed better so you can adjust as needed. This vid was produced at the time with the stats that we won with.
@@RealAsianRobot understand but you might wanna get hp over defence because when hp hits 0 you downed unlike defence. 10k defence gives about 40% dmg mitigation and so tell me if defence is so OP why do people die when they have near max defence than people with max hp and above 10k defence

10k is barely 20%.
But yes, we have already switched over to hp. However take note that this video was created awhile back, and at the time, everyone built defense. We survived using defense and I shared how I beat the hangedman with my build at the time.
As new information comes out, we learn more.
However I made these guides as I played through the story F2P so the video simply shows what I used at the time. It may not reflect what is most efficient.
That said, please do your fact checks before presenting them. 10k defense is NOT 40% reduction.
