And which are the WORST methods- the ones that should send you running for the hills? In this video I will cover all the ways I've heard SIBO get "diagnosed" over the years- ranking them from best to worst.
Videos mentioned:
Stool testing for SIBO: • STOOL TEST FOR SIBO?

I'm way passed the point of being bummed out about stool testing haha. I had a GI Map test done in September, not to diagnose SIBO specifically but to hopefully get a general idea of what the heck is wrong with me. It came back positive for many bacterial overgrowths, but I've never known exactly what that meant. I've been working with a nutritionist for months now, and was seeing positive results until I made a few too many dietary errors and ended up regressing a bit - that was my bad. Long story short, I'm getting sick of taking expensive supplements that don't seem to have much of a long lasting effect, and would like some concrete answers after 6 years of grief. Problem is, there isn't a doctor or specialist within 300 miles of where I live that even knows what SIBO or leaky gut is.
I have all the symptoms of sulfide SIBO and my provider tested with the glucose test and said I have sulfide SIBO but now I’m paranoid I don’t and that the test wasn’t accurate and I’m afraid to treat it and make things worse. I also have a million other gut issues and they all sort of compete with one another. It’s so depressing and insanely stressful.
@MoonBeamLight What are the symptoms of sulfide SIBO?
I hear you! I have years long history with GERD (maybe 2yrs ago?) now tackling H2S. I found this channel yesterday, have watched many videos and agree when she says start with the stomach, then the gut.
she also talks a lot about the Gut brain axis - if you have a lot of trauma/stress you need to work on this as well. it's not a quick process since it was probably years of cumulative stress. its not just psychosomatic - you do need to treat them both though.
Thank you for your awesome information!!!
I was wondering if you have any thoughts on the connection between Endometriosis/PCOS ans SIBO? I follow Dr Kanayama (Haptic restorative treatment) at the New York Endometriosis Center ans he was recently talking about severe bloating during a woman's cycle when they have Endo, he explained many of his patients acrually experience this bloating due to SIBO. When you have Endometriosis, it can become extreme. I have just spent the last 2 days in bed because the bloating was so bad, painful and uncomfortable, I look as if im pregnant and have to shuffle to walk during this time, I also have long-term anemia. I'm starting my research now. Wondering if you have seen this connection yourself and if you know of any resources for SIBO with Endometriosis. Thank you so much.
Where does the Trios breath test fall on this accuracy spectrum?
Would love a video on how accurate h pylori testing is. I don’t trust the GI map at all anymore and not sure if breath testing is actually accurate
You mentioned in your video that you have a condition. Was it celiac or Crohn's? My son has Crohn's and I'm thinking about enrolling him in your program. Do you target people like that?
I’m curious as to whether a fructose breath test is accurate for fructose intolerance. My sister was diagnosed based on symptoms and eliminated almost all fruits from her diet. I suspect I have developed a similar problem based on symptoms from certain FODMAPS. I may or may not have IMO diagnosed on a Lactulose breath test, but it may very well be s false positive that you mentioned.
I took Silver fern Cleanse for 2 mos. Diarrhea finally went away after 6 mos of losing 14lb & alot of my hair, told Dr my Diarrhea is back & i have a white tongue she said thare was nothing wrongi just have reflux, im wondering if ive been on low fodmap food
Correct me if I’m wrong but I noticed you said that prokinetics can be used for those with motility issues caused by trauma for like about 8 or so months… is this treatment option worth a try?

I suspect I have an impaired migrating motor complex because I stressed way too hard for my health that I probably ended up with mild chronic erosive gastritis.
I did a stool test, and I have this biosis in a yeast presence in my body 😱
It is very difficult to find out the root cause for the sibo/leaky gut. I don't think I will ever know after dealing with this for so many years. It's the million dollar question. All the possible causes mentioned in the videos do not apply to me.
Is it possible that a lactulose or glucose Sibo test is false-negative? Greetings from Germany :)
I've heard the glucose can give false-negative
