This is the best search result of all time. I’m fighting with one that I got for free second hand. It leaks terribly and fills with water and shorts out. This video is absolutely the perfect fix for this dual zone timer. 😂😂😂
Hahah, I have to agree... two Orbits over 3 years (one a 3 port, one a 4 port so not inexpensive), neither have lasted at all. Leaks, etc... I am about ready to do the same now to my last 4 port. This is an accurate portrayal of a frustrated Orbit owner.
after trying everything i settled on gardena brand but then that also sheet. now i'm tied of these timers. now im going for controller and irrigation solenoid. that's how farmers do so it must be more reliable way
Amen. Had the 4 zone model start gushing water out of the back of it. Spent an hour on hold with Orbit customer service, who were very nice, they sent me a new one THAT WONT EVEN TURN ON.
I LOVE YOUR VIDEO!! I am right there with you after my first Orbit Model #24713. Digital programmer is crap and after one battery change it went on the fritz and cannot even program now. Total crap and waste of money!!
Dont buy the extended warranty from lowes on the water timer even if they "say" you can bring it back and exchange it any time if the products not working, they will not honor it. You have been warned. Orbit sucks balls!
Hahaha! We have purchased 2 quad timers, a dual timer, and three single timers. I’m not sure why I keep buying them. The melnor ones don’t last either.... so far, the single timers last the longest!
This, is probably true, unfortunately. Every single one of them has failed so far, especially the dual head. Water always gets in them for some reason.
Went to work one day with orbit timer set to go off in a little later in the morning. Got home and the lawn sprinkler was on. The timer started OK but never shut down and the lawn was being watered for the past 12 hours that day!!

New out of box. 1 zone valve won't close. Fortunately I tested it a bunch before I went on vacation. Going back to home depot for sure.

I generally attempt to fix once and if it still doesn't work take it out with my 12 gauge so I no longer have to think of ways to fix it...

Two year! We’ve purchased two quads that lasted a year each! I would have been thrilled to turn on the latest one this year and have it work!
