      Thank you, Teagan! Your comment means a lot to me. You say so much in such an economical fashion. Are you a poet or have at least dabbled in poetry? The right words in the right order is quite a gift. However many ways your artistic spirit manifests ... may it always be with the heart and spirit that you shared with me today. You DO make a difference ... with every kindness you share, every word you speak ... and in all that you are. Thank you for sharing with me. MUCH appreciated!

    as a child, i remember asking questions. being a rebel against the majority of people i met. my comprehension grew throughout my ages; and i still, have the curiosity. i had since i was two years old. i couldn’t express my thoughts, feelings and simply myself to others. regardless, of how intelligent or elegance products i offer. i must be patient, kind and empathetic. i find it strategic and necessary to do such. i may be no genius like bach or newton. thereof, i will not deeply impact the world with my passions and thoughts. however, i can genuinely embrace others, and every moment of my life. i realize that you explain things with such depth in simplicity. it is truly moving to see someone, that is like to some degree, communicate what i want to say since as a child. thank you

    Thank you very much for your precious advices. I've been moved by your story about the loss of your father. When I lost mine, after a long period of poignant grief which mostly numbed my mind I happened to be inspired by a greek poem that is evocative of absence and loss. My daddy was a teacher of Greek and this experience both aesthetical and emotional relit the flame of creativity. From then up to now I have channeled so many times my pain, sorrow and intimate suffering into poetry. I even wrote a poem dedicated to him and I also privately write about him. It's a great help. With regard to your lessons, I do appreciate you've pointed out the importance of affirming one's individuality and to reconsider what is universal and timeless. We are legitimate to cultivate our own gardens, each one by their favourite skills and tools. Recently I'm disgusted more than ever by the uniformity around us, by the arrogance and aggressiveness. The more I experience this, the more I want to keep my distance from the others. And I am happy to stay far away from the crowd.

      Thank you very much, Clelia! I'm saddened to learn you've experienced the same grief of the loss of your father. I think of him everyday. Channeling grief in a healthy way like you are doing with your poetry is a very healthy thing to do. Plus, it keep his memory alive inside of you and also helps you to keep growing and stretching yourself which is EXACTLY what your father (the man, teacher and daddy) would want you to do. I have no doubt at all he would be proud of the woman you are today. With Much Respect and Gratitude, Jeffery

    Hi dear Jeffery. It's really nice to see a video from you. Many are eager to watch and listen to you. As some have stated below, asking if you would consider doing a podcast or a Q&A session. Would you consider doing a livestream? Maybe you have some hobbies, like doing art or something else. I think it would be fun for all parts if we could engage in conversation that way, while also being interested in what you're doing.
    I also really appreciate these videos with advice, because they're like a different aspect of ourselves, which we haven't looked for, but got anyway - It's like a helping hand that makes us reconnect with our self, like two lines, but we differ from our ideal line, per say.

    • @jefferyford5309
      @jefferyford5309  3 роки тому +1

      Thank YOU for such a great comment! Here is my take on your having a problem selling your art. Being creative can and is a reward to the creator all on it's own. There is dignity in creating, and also great worth in the value one places on one's work. Your painting should be in the hands of someone who will truly enjoy having it ... AND IT IS!!! Your paintings bring joy to you and most likely to those you choose (if you choose) to share them with when people come over. Why should your joy in your paintings mean less than someone else's joy from your painting? It shouldn't unless your goal is to sell them. Keep creating your way for your reasons. Just from the comment you've written -- I have no doubt you infuse heart and vision into you art and into our world. Thanks again for reaching out. These things DO make a difference!

    • @jefferyford5309
      @jefferyford5309  3 роки тому +21

      Hi Study, There are far too many variables for me to determine based on IQ alone. I will say that I have met numerous math majors/teachers who I seriously doubt had anywhere near a 131 IQ. One of the tricks to math is to learn it in the way that works best for the student involved. Another thing that I learned (once I decided to approach mathematics more seriously) was to humble myself, go back and make sure I thoroughly understood the fundamentals beyond just the memorization and the academic testing of mere facts and basic use. I really thought about past learnings and incorporated them into various ways of thinking in terms of systems and patterns and developed a better, fuller appreciation for math, the world around us, and life!

      Sometimes it's our (alleged) flaws that serve to make us something special. I once played Janis Joplin for a Chinese opera singer friend and she couldn't believe that it wasn't a joke. Janis wasn't in all ways technically 'sound' at all ... and she definitely wasn't perfect ... but to many of us, she was exquisitely perfect and we wouldn't have her any other way. Daring to boldly live our differences takes courage ... and it's often well worth it in many ways!!!

    Hi Jeff, wrong video, for the comment.... Doesnt the kruger effect and imposter effect simply stem from the tendency of intelligent people to be negative?... Negative about abilities, hence Krugering themselves, negative about people's perception of them, hence Imposter effect... Negativity has been quite helpful to seeing that they are often right and their efforts cpuld av been improved right? So they stick to what works and always look negatively first.... If they learn to look positively later on, then it solves the percieved effect problem. I prefer to be told its ok to look negatively first then positively afterwards.

    Solomon makes good students and scholars ,but love makes us Jesus friends. Jeffery i ,recently - well , i asked a question - Dr Linda How does the trivium method of critical thinking "Gene odening " helped share fit in with ,Dr Paul &the foundation's ? Has anyone tried to merge them ? Dr Linda replied Thank you for your question! The Trivium education model is based in ancient philosophy, and though there is much overlap between our approach to critical thinking and certain concepts in Trivium, there are also some conceptual problems with the latter. A framework for critical thinking based in natural language and everyday life provides a more helpful approach for dealing with the complex, often mundane problems we face as humans.

    Now, i'm not the smartest person around, but i have a weird question for you brainiacs:
    Do you guys ever get those weird instant thoughts that take too long to explain to another person?
    For example:
    Someone says something about trees, then a funny joke about pink t-shirts pops into your head, but the thought process that took you there IS linked to trees at the root (heh).
    For you the chain of thought is nearly instantaneous, but then when you start to explain how you got there, you realize there are way too many steps to explain and the joke is therefore ruined.
    I used to try and explain how i got to the joke (and looking like a moron in the process) but nowadays i just don't say anything, i just chuckle to myself (and also look like a moron.) ;D

Honestly, (for me) these conversations grow tired and boring almost instantly. BTW, is it solipsistic in here, or is it just me? (I like that old joke!)
