The projectile had no targeting when the game first released. Couldn't go uphill or downhill so you could only use it on flat terrain. It got patched after I already beat the game, so it deserves to be good in the DLC.

My very first character was a mage and once you discover night comets power there is no need to get close to any enemy when you one shot them from afar 😊 but both the moonlight gsword and moonveil are fun when you want to mix it up. But the only melee a true mage needs is carian slicer and adula’s moon blade boosted by the carian staff and night comets loss staves. Pure caster no vigor ftw! I run a 138 with 99 int 38 mind 20 vigor and rest endurance
I like this build. But something I don't see really ever is you can still get big bleed damage out of a non bleed build. Meaning, if you wear the white mask, Lord of blood's exaltation instead of Godfrey icon, and equip a light weapon like rapier with seppuku and use it before a boss fight you crank your damage up considerably. It really is noticable, and with zero invested into arcane you still get bleed build level damage. I love this play style and wish I saw others enjoying it like I do.
Great build. I am running a darkmoon greatsword build now. I would add some faith for buffs and quality of life spells. If you are doing pvp, switch out the sorcery talisman for the bull goat talisman. I would sacrifice damage from the chest piece and legs for armor that can get me at least 89 poise. That way you can trade shots in pvp and possibly break them before you get broken.

Super fast frostbite, powerstancing deals a lot of dmg, millicent’s prosthesis to rack up the boost with dual hits, and then obliterate with the dmgs. Super versatile, the setup is easy and is done naturally, and I can still have 66 poise. Extremely fun and melee centric, with sorceries at the ready. The strongest and most fun build I’ve made.
since im doing kindoff a cosplay build and wanna use arrows instead of the knight comet do i change the staff that i use? also is there a difference if i get my stats to 200 lvl?
Hi, I'm using the dark moon greatsword but, I'm not usint the exactly talisman that u, I use Alexander, Godfrey, Scorpion and Radagan!... I'm using the same set that u, and my status it's almost exactly yours, but sometimes I have to using a little bit more spells during my game because I didn't get all the movies sets from bosses or mobs. About my build, do u have some tips or any improvments?
I prefer a tankier variation with better armor(also the Spellblade set is so ugly imo), so I don't care about losing that 8% damage, Snow Witch hat and the rest Scaled armor or Banished Knight Armor looks way better. Also, why 40 Strength?? Not worth all these stat points at all imo, I put way more in Endurance to be able to spam the projectiles longer(they have a big stamina cost) and also 60 vigor and 80 int. My build still does insane damage, but is very nicely balanced too. And for even more craziness (if you want to use spirit ashes that is) you can use Mimic tear and give him Rykards Rancor, he uses the Darkmoon Greatsword and also casts the spell which does huge damage and also resets the frostbite status. Just a crazy strong build and my favourite weapon in the game 🥰

On a side note, on your warped axe video, can I ask for an opinion? Am thinking of trying it out, but could I dual wield instead of using just one? And if yes, what ash of war should I put on the left hand one? Don't know if you can help, but asking never hurts
Hey dude thanks I appreciate that. For the warped axe build u can do frost or bleed on the second one. Bleed goes crazy but I always love the frost proc as well!

So I don't believe it would however I have never tried it, a roar would be a good option though since you would get the buffs from it, just make sure to use the roar medallion. As far as ashes of war, It depends on what you wanna use. I usually just use the ash in my mainhand cause I am on Xbox and it sucks to go back and forth lol@@Waxf0rd

So my small brain 🧠 didn’t fully get the magic scorpion and I had already completed the Ranni quest wondering if there any way to get or any good replacement for a slot
There is no way to get that talisman unless you do new game plus now since you have locked out the quest. you might be able to get away with the ritual swordsman though.

It's a great weapon but Fallingstar Beast Jaw is more powerful. My stats are all 99 maxed. Dark Moon Greatsword (no talismans factored in) attack power is 916. Fallingstar Beast Jaw attack power is 1056. These are first playthrough stats after beating the game once. I never went in to NG+.
@@pastorgainzgames Yeah the beauty of being maxed leveled is that every single day I log in I can play as any build I want. It keeps things fresh as I play co-op and help people beat bosses, clear areas, or beat invaders.

The Sword might have less damage on paper, but with the talismans, armor set, ash of war activated, standing in terra magica, and use Ranni’s dark moon at the start of the fight = the charged R2’s will hit for 3-5k depending on the boss. If you use your physique with magic tear, you csn get that to 5-7k. If you stand close and hit the boss with the physical sword + charged beam you can get 6-9k hits on a REGULAR SWORD SWING !!! That’s not even including golden order, flame grant me strength, etc.,. And again, these on regular weapon swings lol…. Not to mention you’re an intellect build, so now add in all the op spells lmao. This build is absolutely broken and is the ultimate easy mode for the entire game. It’s fun as HELL, but don’t use it if you want any sort of a challenge lol
Love your videos so much, I used it in NG+ and felt in love with it. Wearing the bestial set altered and Carian helm for a Carian Battlemage look + Dragoncrest greatshield. To make it even safer and after doing other builds, I make use of the Carian Shield cause I love counter attacks + Darkmoon GS deals great poise, that + Great Phalanx spell. It makes talismans switch a lot depending on the situation and I'm on NG3 lvl350 but I think I'm gonna use this build for the DLC. I'm kindda tanky, damaging and have range with a few spells. And it was my first character that got op after much struggle and learning

Darkmoon greatsword is a weapon that doesn't even require a build to play with. You just grab it and annihilate the game with 1,5 buttons. That's it.

Forget the ritual sword talisman I recommend the new 2 handed weapon talisman. 15 percent boost as long as both hands are on the sword

stats to 200 just get more strength or faith for flame grant me strength and golden vow. U don't have to change the staff if you don't want to

So I would get Faith up so you can use flame grant me strength and golden vow, would add 35% Physical damage as well as 15% damage negation

They haven’t nerfed the build at all. Elden beast just sucks. U should be able to crush him with the ash of war though no problem

would be a good time but you would need more endurance I think

This game can be as easy or as hard as you want it to be. If you use everything available to you mid game and beyond, the bosses become a joke.
