Reef Fishing Belize

I was fishing for edible fish today and was blessed to be rewarded. This video was filmed off the shores of Ambergris Caye, Belize in July. This part of the reef is heavily fished. Fortunately, it seems new fish arrive in the evenings and the reef more or less re-sets overnight. On most days, it’s possible to catch anything that lives in the Caribbean Sea of any size on this reef which is the second largest in the world. I used the guide’s gear, and I don’t know what it was other than heavier spinning gear, with live and cut bait. Like a lot of places in the world, Belizean restaurants are happy to cook your fresh caught fish for you which they did for us in this video.
