Yes, but DUH... It's about travel from England to Australia. Since both have used the metric system for yonx and the idiotically backward United States, Liberia and Myanmar are the only countries in the world that don't, it's 14,498.6 kilometres. At first I thought, "What a ridiculous idea for a video". But it's really fantastic to see a full half of our beautiful earth go by on ONE FLIGHT. Incredible. Our Boeing folks make one beautiful, whisper-quiet aircraft.

That was almost the full distance to the Southern Oracle. No need to fly on the back of a luck dragon this time but instead on this wonderful Boeing 787-9. Hats off to you Noel for putting this incredible video together. From the exhilarating thrust of take off, the fascinating airshow maps, the relaxation of the night time white noise (in sleepy chunks), appreciating the vastness of the Indian Ocean and of course descent, approach and landing, I am glad I finally took the time to enjoy every minute of these 17 plus hours. Experiencing this is the next best thing especially in these restricting times for travel and now I feel inspired to try this journey for myself one day. Thank you!

Alan Cousins no. Qantas recently changed their plans. They originally wanted to use a A350-1000 (A35K) for this flight, but they changed it to use a b777x

Finished the video!! It only took me a week!! What a lovely welcome you had to Australia and what a nice man you are. You’re so polite!! The captain was such a sweetheart. I’m terrified of flying so have so much respect for these guys. I love going to New Zealand and thought about this route instead of via Asia or America. Trouble is I am a bit concerned about flying so far out of radio contact for so long in all that ocean! I know flying from Akl-lax you cross miles of the Pacific but there are little islands on the way! I’m just paranoid I guess lol
That is so cool that you got to stand on the tarmac next to your airplane before your flight! I wish I could do that on every flight I ever go on just because I think the planes are amazing to look at, especially up close like that! Also, the 787 is just a gorgeous aircraft I must say! I think the 737 is the best looking Boeing airliner personally, but the 787 and the 777 are both right there in terms of aesthetics! Great video man!
Yes I agree it was a fantastic surprise when they asked me if I wanted to go outside to film, I'd mentioned to the staff that it was a shame you couldn't really see the livery from the gate and they came up to me a few minutes later to say they'd arranged a ramp tour! It's a beautiful aircraft :)
I’ve just stepped into an alternative reality where someone uploads a 17 hour video of nothing, and then others say how jolly good it is. And now I’m going to step right back into my own world and say a little prayer of thanks that it contains normal people doing normal things.
This very same plane VH-ZND had an incident at heathrow in february this year. On departing for perth the tail struck the runway.and as the plane had to be airborne,it returned to heathrow where it performed a heavy landing. no injuries or major damage.just a sensor or something

Thank you dude, and thanks again for allowing me to use the outside footage of takeoff!
inflight Video not a problem, although it wasn’t my video that you used in the end, haha. Again, great video, I’ll admit to not watching the entire 17 hours, but I’ve watched a good three hours! I look forward to more of your videos in the future! :)
I finally got to see the video. Amazing views, especially at sunrise. After seeing all the people chatting it up with you after flight, I’m starting to believe you’ be become a heavy hitter in the aviation world. Great job!!
Haha thank you 😊
Awesome video!... I love flying and do it often, But I will lose my mind sitting in a plane for 17+ hours.
I am working on a stressful presentation for one of my college classes, and having this on in the background has been so nice.
Best of luck!
B747 can hold over 300 tonnes of fuel.
I’ve just stepped into an alternative reality where someone uploads a 17 hour video of nothing, and then others say how jolly good it is. And now I’m going to step right back into my own world and say a little prayer of thanks that it contains normal people doing normal things.
This is amazing man! I enjoyed the video , I wonder how long it took to upload this on UA-cam
Wow! Epic length video! Thanks for taking the effort to post! Congratulations on being one of the first people to do London-Australia non stop :)
Thanks Alan! It was such a great experience, my absolute pleasure to share the experience with you guys.
Wow Noel it will take a few days to get though this. Thanks again on doing this. And well done on your big achievement
Thanks Alan I hope you enjoy the video!
Love it. 4 days watching (not constant lol) and I did it! Thankyou!
Watched it over and over again, i just can't get enough of it.
This very same plane VH-ZND had an incident at heathrow in february this year. On departing for perth the tail struck the runway.and as the plane had to be airborne,it returned to heathrow where it performed a heavy landing. no injuries or major damage.just a sensor or something
I love economy and have no issues flying in Economy but I’m impressed you could handle it for a 17 hour flight. That would be tough for me!
Congrats Noel. I just started to watch your video. I watched almost all of your full flight videos. I really enjoy them. But this is the best. Years ago I worked at LHR Terminal 3 and now I live in Perth. So this video is very special for me. Just keep going. Thanks for them.
Thanks Tibor! Appreciate your comments and hope you’re enjoying Perth!
I got half way through then I realized how long i'd actually been watching when I noticed the sun rising.
It was really kind of you to offer to email that man that was asking about you videoing the flight :)
Haha always do when I can :)
only one video before sleep!
Beautiful stuff. I enjoy every bit of my journeys including the airport delay.
Thank you! And thanks so much for watching!

Thank you so much for sharing. My husband and I were in Perth visiting friends. They live near the airport. We heard it fly over...lol Cheers from Kiwi land.
Fantastic, I flew straight to Auckland from Perth via Sydney, those videos will be coming soon :)

A perfect travel video during the lockdown :)
That blue sunrise at 13:33:03 was amazing :)
The cabin crew just dimmed the window shade to normal mode 😅
