This is the type of video where you either get it or you don’t. For a specific subset of us, this is awesome. I always love the hustle and bustle of breakfast and sunrise on a long haul. Everyone while in a zombie-like status decides at the same time that “yes, as a matter of fact I would like a warm towelette and orange juice in a small, difficult to open cup shaped container”
I totally get it. Despite the tiredness and the hassle of getting to and navigating the airport, I'm always nose to the window for takeoff and landing. The travelling is part of any holiday.
It’s a fun experience when its travel for vacation, it’s a whole other when doing it for work week after week. I don’t miss those work trips at all. The one good thing Covid did bring.
If you've flown in a long distance flight, I'm sure you'll get it. I need to fly in such flights very often, because I live in Germany but half of my family lives in USA and half in India, so I need to frequently visit both countries. And my flights are always at night time in Lufthansa.
If he had woken up after almost 7 and a half hours we would be feeling confused because he is not in his bed. Then how can he find where exactly he has woken up? And how the hell did he find out when he slept? how? Don't tell me to "stfu" get some common sense your self.

I have major insomnia but when I watch these videos I'm asleep within 30 min. The hum of the engines (white noise) to me is so relaxing. It makes me feel like I'm back on my flight to Australia and how well I slept on it. Plus, THANK YOU for not adding commercials in the middle. There is nothing worse than being woken up by a person wanting me to buy some drug.
I like this video, I will get to fly pretty soon a very long flight, but I have never been on plane before, and it is quite scary that I will be in the air for like 12 hours. So I watch videos like this to help yourself realize that flying is pretty cool and fun. Thank you posting this!

I have fallen asleep to this many times. The dark, quiet mid-flight hum. It makes me remember countless long haul flights for work. The high pressure of urgent deadlines, tense meetings, and working in hotels combined with all the stress of travel. With this video I can stretch my legs out completely at home and heal my physical memories of the cramped seats, stale air, bland travel sized food in plastic containers, blur of airport concourses, uber rides to hotels while fighting jet lag, and living out of a suitcase. Listening to this in my giant bed has definitely cured some cramped years of trauma. Travel for work seems romantic, but it fades fast when you live your whole life in airports and hotels, year after year. Even the big cities become a blur as you never really set up roots anywhere - just from meetings to hotels to airports. Long-term relationships are nearly impossible. The miles wear on you. Covid has finally proved 90% of this was unnecessary. It brought the blessings of work from home and much less completely unnecessary work travel. I for one will not miss it - I got out. I look forward to sleeping at home, after work time with friends, and traveling for fun from now on. Work flights are a thing of my past.
It may not be the same exact a380, but I sat in those exact seats on a flight from ATL to CDG in 2019. Every time I watch a video like this I get excited because it reminds me of the days when I get to travel to France and see my family. Hearing the announcements, the engine roar, and the rolling of suitcases on the tile floors are amount some of my favorite noises.

I love that this has the walk down the promonade to the aisles and the taxiing and the other ambience of the sound of flight. The pilot and attendant announcements. I always found it relaxing, too bad the chairs suck but nothing like the airport bar to change that!

Appreciate videos like this, I had a friend along with me for my first flight and all the processes associated with that so I wasn't nervous and followed along, but I've definitely browsed through uncut videos like this for other non-flying topics when I've wanted to figure out how something works or what a place is like and it definitely brings down the anxiety factor

Moi comme j'habite à 30 kilométres de l'aéroport CDG, j'ai le privilége et l'honneur de venir là chercher, étant donné quelle vient régulierement en France. Quand l'avion est en approche, je me positionne à environ à 300 métres du seuil de la piste, et je le vois passer juste au dessus de moi. MAGNIFIQUE, GRANDIOSE tellement qu'il est beau cet avion, je prends vraiment un énorme plaisir à le voir. Vivement que ce PUTAIN de virus soit terminé , afin que tout le monde puisse voyager comme avant.
I flew from Houston, TX to Frankfurt, Germany which was an 11 hour flight as well I believe. Was in the air so long my anxiety went away completely as I had gotten used to it.
The last half dozen flights I've had to do have been full of anxiety and fear ... not of flying but because they've been rushing to family in emergencies. I hope this can help retrain my brain to love flights again.
I've been listening to the engines as I sleep and I've been doing this now for the past two days, just yesterday, I woke up thinking I was on a plane, but I realised it was just a vivid dream. Cool but strange though. I'll carry on listening to the engines, I like sleeping to it, it's calm... Thank you for making this video for people such as myself

Been watching Noel's films for a short while now and just came across this. I've flown on the Air France A380's to and from Johannesburg to/ from Paris CDG (F-HPJA and F-HPJG being the ones I can remember). I journeyed on the upstairs in economy plus and its an amazing aircraft. I love the A380, its just a shame Air France ditched theirs - damn you Covid!! I have to put up with 777-300's now. Truly an "Empress of the skies".
The upload time wasn't too bad for this. I started uploading at 2pm and it had finished uploading the following morning. Encoding the file took a long time - it was 26 hours (three times, because it failed the first times :( ) . File size is 41.7GB :)

Cool stunt. Am not sure I'd want to watch for 11 hours straight through, but it's fun to have it as an option. Might make good wallpaper for a separate screen, for ex., as I'm on desktops virtually every waking hour of the workday. You probably don't get this often, but tnx for posting.

Reminds me of my trips to Central Europe in 1982 and 1990. No delays for customs, just walk to the baggage claim, then to the trains for a trip downtown to a major train station, and then the rest of Europe was at your fingertips. Very easy and very fun.
I like all the details that you recorded. However, can you do a short (like 5min) time-lapse of the whole flight along with the map overlay? Can you make more vids like this with int'l long hauls to LAX? (Like maybe the opposite flight of this or another flight to LA) I think that'd be pretty cool. How did you enjoy ur visit to LA?
I really love that the airport experience was included. I've not seen that before. It helps set the mood for the flight cuz that and boarding and waiting for takeoff are all part of it. Well done. I'm enjoying it immensely. Just one thing. WHERE do you put the camera so it's so stable for so long? You can't just be holding it there with your hands. It wouldn't be so stable. 🤔

I've been listening to the engines as I sleep and I've been doing this now for the past two days, just yesterday, I woke up thinking I was on a plane, but I realised it was just a vivid dream. Cool but strange though. I'll carry on listening to the engines, I like sleeping to it, it's calm... Thank you for making this video for people such as myself

Brilliant video Noel! Reminds me of the long haul flights I’ve done. Especially the flight I did from Dublin to JFK and back onboard the 767-400 with Delta. It was amazing to be on such an amazing aircraft. Thanks Noel!

Been watching Noel's films for a short while now and just came across this. I've flown on the Air France A380's to and from Johannesburg to/ from Paris CDG (F-HPJA and F-HPJG being the ones I can remember). I journeyed on the upstairs in economy plus and its an amazing aircraft. I love the A380, its just a shame Air France ditched theirs - damn you Covid!! I have to put up with 777-300's now. Truly an "Empress of the skies".
How much time did it take to upload this video? And how big was the file? xD
The upload time wasn't too bad for this. I started uploading at 2pm and it had finished uploading the following morning. Encoding the file took a long time - it was 26 hours (three times, because it failed the first times :( ) . File size is 41.7GB :)

Cool stunt. Am not sure I'd want to watch for 11 hours straight through, but it's fun to have it as an option. Might make good wallpaper for a separate screen, for ex., as I'm on desktops virtually every waking hour of the workday. You probably don't get this often, but tnx for posting.

Reminds me of my trips to Central Europe in 1982 and 1990. No delays for customs, just walk to the baggage claim, then to the trains for a trip downtown to a major train station, and then the rest of Europe was at your fingertips. Very easy and very fun.
I like all the details that you recorded. However, can you do a short (like 5min) time-lapse of the whole flight along with the map overlay? Can you make more vids like this with int'l long hauls to LAX? (Like maybe the opposite flight of this or another flight to LA) I think that'd be pretty cool. How did you enjoy ur visit to LA?

I really love that the airport experience was included. I've not seen that before. It helps set the mood for the flight cuz that and boarding and waiting for takeoff are all part of it. Well done. I'm enjoying it immensely. Just one thing. WHERE do you put the camera so it's so stable for so long? You can't just be holding it there with your hands. It wouldn't be so stable. 🤔
