Yea his stamina is actually pretty insane when you look at both marineford & wano, ppl are heavily mistaken when they say his stamina isn’t good lol. If he were to use all that stamina he does helping ppl out & supporting on a 1v1 instead, dudes stamina & endurance would be an issue to deal with

I’m very much of the opinion that Marco had the bigger handicap while he was showing relative feats to King despite King having a greater biological advantage. So I think Marco would eventually win via out lasting King and especially considering that his flames are advantageous against Kings.
While i would surely say their atleast relative in speed, i think ppl underrate non flames king. Its not like marco easily win bc king hasnt flames on. This king still has great durability. Also do ppl really think marco can just fly around and blitz king to tire king out but not himself aswell? How do we know marco has dura neg? He literally used just blunt blue flames while it doesnt make sense that its dura neg, queen questioning if it is doesnt mean it is. Feared is an overstatement especially when he hasn't done any major damage to anybody in the show. He heals others and can absorb attacks, he is a threat in that sense.

Marco has no advanced haki and his devil fruit is mainly used as support as a damage sponge along with healing. I do think he is cool and I like his devil fruit, but he hasn't done anything for me to put him that high. Main reason he was able to fight against people like Big Mom and Kizaru is because he can absorb damage as long as his stamina is up, he doesn't have much haki feats.

This matchup or the comparisons aren’t confusing as ppl make it seem. We literally see Marco have the upper hand in their interactions while King is in an advantageous 1v2 scenario, mind you Marco was already doing stuff prior aswell. Marco’s base strength is stronger than King’s(and Queen) base strength as we see him physically holding them down & throwing them around more than once. Marco was a character who already had impressive feats against top tiers aswell, whereas King was never portrayed in such light even when he had help from Queen & other Beast Pirates. Matchup wise I don’t believe it’s a good one for King either as his flames get shut down & he’s physically weaker also slower than Marco for the most part. Marco also has better stamina feats despite ppl thinking his stamina sucks when it’s actually the opposite. That said it still wouldn’t be easy, Marco would have to chip away at King’s health/gimmick but ppl acting like he can’t damage King is nonsense when you can arguably see him damage King in chapter 1006(blood drops) and we saw him capable of damaging a full zoan Queen. Marco is just really tough to deal with even for some top tiers, I just don’t see King being strong enough to do it. Marco is just genuinely better all around for the most part & the feats, portrayal, statements are there to back it all up
I strongly believe that Oda hadn't thought about King's durability being so strong before the actual Zoro vs King fight, since Zoro already made King spurt out blood with Purgatory Onigiri, but later Zoro can't even put a scratch on him. He does have better portrayal I agree but King is just insane with his flame on state. Zoro couldn't do anything even though he could already cut Kaido with his Mythical Zoan.

The lunarian race was something Oda already had planned even before Wano, on top of that he’s also an ancient zoan so I believe Oda knew exactly what he was doing with King. It’s also debatable whether that was blood or not pretty sure that onigiri attack was slash effects & not blood, most agree that zoro didn’t make King bleed until the acoc attacks. His durability is good it’s sort of like an armor but durability & gimmicks aren’t enough to win fights, we saw in Wano that King is pretty beatable for a competent enough fighter. As for Kaido being cut, it should be noted that Kaido didn’t bother to block or evade like any attack he would just take them raw head on whereas King actually blocks in some instances & relies on his flame gimmick
This is a real interesting matchup as both characters get notoriety from their speed and defensive abilities. The fight could very well go either way. In the two's fight both weren't at their full capacity as King was holding back while Marco was busy healing others whilst keeping two YC occupied.
Marco who couldnt seriously harm Base and Zoan Queen.. after MULTIPLE attacks is going to knock out King, and is going to survives attacks from him which can destroy casually mountain sized rocks and who can endure more deadly attacks than hybrid Kaido really ? there's no way 😂

Marco has farbetter feats and portrayal: 1: he gets psuedo yonko treatment since the GOROSEI claim he is the only one outside the YONKO that can take out BB, the navy also only attacked sphoinx island after marco left it so they didnt want smoke with them if marco is there. 2: he fought all 3 admirals in marinefort. 3: kizaru had to sneak marco cause it was taking to long to beat him. 4: marco fought king/queen, big mom , perospero and GIFTERS for a prolonged period of time OFF SCREEN yet he was still standing during the end of the war and was still able to block kaidos blast breath. 5: his flames can counter all flame attacks
Dont overrate the man. Marco is not strong offensively whatsoever. He is a support character that does a very good job at it. Marco has high defence since he has a logia type body and his flames can heal. His praise is because of how well he can support who he is fighting with. It’s shown very well in onigashima against king and queen.

This is one of my favourite matchups. I love both characters. I personally have King over Marco, but I believe it would be a very tough fight. The main problem is that Oda has never given us a fully Marco focused fight. He is always the support flying around and dealing with everything. If Marcos AP was just clearer and shown, then I would give it to him. But King is just such a physical monster. His durability is crazy, his attacks as well. Great vid!
But Marco counters King's Imperial Flames (main source of damage) as the Phoenix Flames absorb the others. For example, Marco overpowered Prometheus from Big Mom. Overpowered the Blast Breath from Kaido. And even blocked Akainu's magma attacks with no named attack. (And Akainu AP > King AP).
I feel like black beard is a perfect counter to marco due to his devil fruit negating other devil fruits. Marco might not have been able to regenerate or focused too much on the other members of his crew instead of facing black beard.
The main reason for all the nerfs and disadvantages marco had during the raid was specifically so he wouldn't win. As the fight was supposed to be zoro vs king, and not marco vs king.
Not to mention Marco went there to support the new gen in the first place, it was never intended & made pretty clear he was there to help everyone out & not to be one of the main fighters in that war. Ppl often overlook this
Honestly, the only thing that doesn't sit well with me regarding this topic is that Rogers' crew and Whitebeard's crew should theoretically be on a similar level of power (basing this on their prolonged battles, concluding in, stellmates), so in theory, either Primebeard has to be strong enough to take on top tiers from Roger's crew on his own (which would make hime theoretically stronger than Roger himself) or his crew really has some never shown powers making them relative to their counterparts in rogers crew. Orrrrr, you can just argue that their battles were never serious as they regarded each other as friends, which in my opinion, falls apart pretty quickly considering they were narratively presented as equals to each other. So, considering all of that, Marco should at least be relative to the dark king Rayleigh, which also doesn't sit well with me because of the power discrepancy shown between them. A very confusing topic to be entirely honest.
marco isnt on the same level as Dark King Rayleigh... the reason Whitebeard crew is strong is because they have more crew members (even the primary crew, not counting the allies). marco is only a bit older than shanks, not as old as roger, whitebeard, or rayleigh, probably on the same or a bit younger than kaido, although young looking probably due to him being a phoenix.. but marco, jozu, and vista, are much younger than rayleigh.. most probably they werent high ranking in the whitebeard crew during the time of gol d roger, they rose to the ranks only afterwards when they got older..
The big issue is I don't see most character being able to damage King such as Marco, Kid, Katakuri which most people would say it would be a close fight but Zoro that could cut Kaido and damage him had no effect until he awakend advanced conquerors while those characters couldn't even scratch base Kaido so I can't see them winning against King.

We got a literal statement from a yonko saying he's too high difficulty to face in a timely manner, meaning he puts up a somewhat decent fight against them, or could at least stall them. Where as we know most commanders would get one shot

IMO one last thing do you think the Blackbeard pirates and cross guild will form a alliance not like big Mom or the beast pirates here goes the black beer pirates will give them the heads of every marine with a bounty, including the navy admirals and they will share the wins for each group. People do seem to forget much Marco was doing on his own in Onigashima, from keeping down King + Queen, using his fire to hold back the Ice Oni virus, and working to support multiple notable fighters. If beating King was his only worry, i wouldn't be suprised if the fight could go either way, with Marco having the better hacks

If Marco stays evasive he could win against most people in One Piece due to stamina. But he realky does seem like the defensive kind of fighter, and never the heavy hitting attacker. He absorbed hits and used his air superiority to his advantage, but he never really dealt the main source of damage.
He dealt damage to Queen, he was bleeding and screaming from the pain. So Marco AP is much superior to Pre Awakened Sanji (who's hits didnt really make Queen bleed or cry pain). And all the other people he fought are either Yonkos, Admirals or a Lunarian Flames On. Even the ACoc attack from Yamato didnt make Greenbull bleed.
Idk to me it felt like king was not even trying before fighting zoro and when he does he is shown to be much stronger and faster as u said even zoro coudnt keep up with his speed when he was able to react to hybrid kaido attacks on rooftop.
I think it SHOULD certainly be Marco in all honesty… though, I’m not to sure in actuality since we just unfortunately haven’t really seen Marco use many offensive abilities much.. Marco has definitely been displayed as a massive defensive power for the majority of his screen time.. Also he is essentially a Logia in his full Phoenix form, where most of anything just passes right through him completely.. Though it seems it would make most sense logically according to the narrative’s portrayal & the story that Marco SHOULD be the 2nd strongest 1st commander after only Beckman.. So it is a very difficult & confusing one to compare as a “what if” fighting scenario honestly.. it makes it really difficult to scale Marco properly unfortunately.. still though, he certainly SHOULD be able to beat King on paper, & only be under Beckman at the current time. The better match up to debate I think is King vs Katakuri! Personally I think Kat is the weakest of the 1st Commanders for the most part, & that King would absolutely win hands down! That’s a whole other argument though lol
Personally I said King is Stronger. Marco during the raid didn’t show any good AP feats even if you argue it was a 2v1. The only thing he showcase is being capable of making Queen bleed via a shockwave so it probably won’t even scale to Marco. His speed at best is only relative to Base Zoro and Sanji during the raid unless you believe he was nerf badly due to using his stamina to stall the ice-oni virus. And just having good rengen. King, Queen, Sanji, and Zoro showcase more so imo they all beat Marco
The encounter King and Marco had was purely for the plot of the story, King's AP is ridiculous, but neither also show any amazing haki feats. It's all just DF hax.
On chapter 1006 Marco had king bleeding out his mask with flames on his back in the 2v1 showing he’s capable of damaging him with his unique flames if Marco goal was to beat him he would won high-extreme diff and king is so stupid if keep his flames on he could have outlast zoro and beat him but he’s unfortunately stupid😂

Kizaru was quite literally fucking around against Marco, and being able to grab somebody doesn't mean you're faster, otherwise Marco would be slower than Big Mom and Sanji is slower than Queen. Not to mention the only reason Marco can land hits on fast characters is by letting people land hits on him first, which is what happened against Kizaru and King. He has worse durability and endurance than Queen, and he's physically weaker than Sanji. He has no impressive haki feats, unlike King who went toe to toe against Zoro's CoA. King in his fast form is faster than hybrid Kaido and King in his durable form is more physically durable than Kaido. The reason Marco can hold off top tiers is because his regen is so high that he can heal the damage he takes for a time, so no, Marco can't actually take Akainu's attacks, he can only heal through them. Among the second in commands, he's tied for the weakest physical stats with Kat, who doesn't have a mythical Zoan, and he's had no good haki feats, despite having the most screen time.

I agree on Marco > King I mainly focus on portrayal Marco was called as a potential substitute for WB and the only man who could stop BB and he was also clashing with the admirals on MF. Although in my opinion any admiral > Marco. Whereas King was reduced as a “mere commander” by Green bull. That being said King is still absolutely broken and he could put a good fight against Marco. About the inductive reasoning for King’s flames I am glad you mentioned that we truly just don’t know enough about lunarian flames but yes fatigue could be the main cause and this way then Marco stomps on King (mid diff)
Marco wins high diff. He is too much of a tank. Marco is probs Ben Beckman level to low yonko. Once you figure out kings gimmick it's only a matter of time which Marco would have tons of. The only person who has damaged Marco meaningfully has been garp who spams town level punches.

But we haven’t seen Marco fight in a 1v1. The 2v1 severely limited Marco. He had to fight both yonko commanders and couldn’t get good and strong blows

This is a real interesting matchup as both characters get notoriety from their speed and defensive abilities.
The fight could very well go either way.
In the two's fight both weren't at their full capacity as King was holding back while Marco was busy healing others whilst keeping two YC occupied.
Marco who couldnt seriously harm Base and Zoan Queen.. after MULTIPLE attacks is going to knock out King, and is going to survives attacks from him which can destroy casually mountain sized rocks and who can endure more deadly attacks than hybrid Kaido really ? there's no way 😂

Marco has farbetter feats and portrayal:
1: he gets psuedo yonko treatment since the GOROSEI claim he is the only one outside the YONKO that can take out BB, the navy also only attacked sphoinx island after marco left it so they didnt want smoke with them if marco is there.
2: he fought all 3 admirals in marinefort.
3: kizaru had to sneak marco cause it was taking to long to beat him.
4: marco fought king/queen, big mom , perospero and GIFTERS for a prolonged period of time OFF SCREEN yet he was still standing during the end of the war and was still able to block kaidos blast breath.
5: his flames can counter all flame attacks
Dont overrate the man. Marco is not strong offensively whatsoever. He is a support character that does a very good job at it. Marco has high defence since he has a logia type body and his flames can heal. His praise is because of how well he can support who he is fighting with. It’s shown very well in onigashima against king and queen.

@@Darkion-ed2me still very low damage for how high people are scaling him. You say it’s because he’s nerfed but if he’s as strong as some people are saying it should’ve been easy for him. He has never been shown to do reasonable damage to anyone for how high he apparently scales.
This is one of my favourite matchups. I love both characters. I personally have King over Marco, but I believe it would be a very tough fight. The main problem is that Oda has never given us a fully Marco focused fight. He is always the support flying around and dealing with everything. If Marcos AP was just clearer and shown, then I would give it to him. But King is just such a physical monster. His durability is crazy, his attacks as well. Great vid!

For example, Marco overpowered Prometheus from Big Mom.

I feel like black beard is a perfect counter to marco due to his devil fruit negating other devil fruits. Marco might not have been able to regenerate or focused too much on the other members of his crew instead of facing black beard.
The main reason for all the nerfs and disadvantages marco had during the raid was specifically so he wouldn't win. As the fight was supposed to be zoro vs king, and not marco vs king.
Not to mention Marco went there to support the new gen in the first place, it was never intended & made pretty clear he was there to help everyone out & not to be one of the main fighters in that war. Ppl often overlook this

Honestly, the only thing that doesn't sit well with me regarding this topic is that Rogers' crew and Whitebeard's crew should theoretically be on a similar level of power (basing this on their prolonged battles, concluding in, stellmates), so in theory, either Primebeard has to be strong enough to take on top tiers from Roger's crew on his own (which would make hime theoretically stronger than Roger himself) or his crew really has some never shown powers making them relative to their counterparts in rogers crew. Orrrrr, you can just argue that their battles were never serious as they regarded each other as friends, which in my opinion, falls apart pretty quickly considering they were narratively presented as equals to each other. So, considering all of that, Marco should at least be relative to the dark king Rayleigh, which also doesn't sit well with me because of the power discrepancy shown between them. A very confusing topic to be entirely honest.

marco isnt on the same level as Dark King Rayleigh... the reason Whitebeard crew is strong is because they have more crew members (even the primary crew, not counting the allies). marco is only a bit older than shanks, not as old as roger, whitebeard, or rayleigh, probably on the same or a bit younger than kaido, although young looking probably due to him being a phoenix.. but marco, jozu, and vista, are much younger than rayleigh.. most probably they werent high ranking in the whitebeard crew during the time of gol d roger, they rose to the ranks only afterwards when they got older..
The big issue is I don't see most character being able to damage King such as Marco, Kid, Katakuri which most people would say it would be a close fight but Zoro that could cut Kaido and damage him had no effect until he awakend advanced conquerors while those characters couldn't even scratch base Kaido so I can't see them winning against King.
I personally think King is second strongest commander in one piece (feats wise Not including rayiegh or kuzan)

If Marco stays evasive he could win against most people in One Piece due to stamina. But he realky does seem like the defensive kind of fighter, and never the heavy hitting attacker. He absorbed hits and used his air superiority to his advantage, but he never really dealt the main source of damage.
He dealt damage to Queen, he was bleeding and screaming from the pain. So Marco AP is much superior to Pre Awakened Sanji (who's hits didnt really make Queen bleed or cry pain).
And all the other people he fought are either Yonkos, Admirals or a Lunarian Flames On.
Even the ACoc attack from Yamato didnt make Greenbull bleed.
Idk to me it felt like king was not even trying before fighting zoro and when he does he is shown to be much stronger and faster as u said even zoro coudnt keep up with his speed when he was able to react to hybrid kaido attacks on rooftop.
I think it SHOULD certainly be Marco in all honesty… though, I’m not to sure in actuality since we just unfortunately haven’t really seen Marco use many offensive abilities much.. Marco has definitely been displayed as a massive defensive power for the majority of his screen time.. Also he is essentially a Logia in his full Phoenix form, where most of anything just passes right through him completely.. Though it seems it would make most sense logically according to the narrative’s portrayal & the story that Marco SHOULD be the 2nd strongest 1st commander after only Beckman.. So it is a very difficult & confusing one to compare as a “what if” fighting scenario honestly.. it makes it really difficult to scale Marco properly unfortunately.. still though, he certainly SHOULD be able to beat King on paper, & only be under Beckman at the current time. The better match up to debate I think is King vs Katakuri! Personally I think Kat is the weakest of the 1st Commanders for the most part, & that King would absolutely win hands down! That’s a whole other argument though lol

Personally I said King is Stronger. Marco during the raid didn’t show any good AP feats even if you argue it was a 2v1. The only thing he showcase is being capable of making Queen bleed via a shockwave so it probably won’t even scale to Marco.
His speed at best is only relative to Base Zoro and Sanji during the raid unless you believe he was nerf badly due to using his stamina to stall the ice-oni virus.
And just having good rengen. King, Queen, Sanji, and Zoro showcase more so imo they all beat Marco

King is cool and all, yet Marco fought a Yonko and traded blows with Big Mom. Not to mention he 1v2 two Yonko Commanders. Not just two YC, the two top YCs.
Let's not forget that Marco admitted he was holding back. He was only there to help out, not win or flex on the Beast Pirates. He did exactly what he wanted to do, which is stall.
Kizaru was quite literally fucking around against Marco, and being able to grab somebody doesn't mean you're faster, otherwise Marco would be slower than Big Mom and Sanji is slower than Queen. Not to mention the only reason Marco can land hits on fast characters is by letting people land hits on him first, which is what happened against Kizaru and King.
He has worse durability and endurance than Queen, and he's physically weaker than Sanji. He has no impressive haki feats, unlike King who went toe to toe against Zoro's CoA.
King in his fast form is faster than hybrid Kaido and King in his durable form is more physically durable than Kaido.
The reason Marco can hold off top tiers is because his regen is so high that he can heal the damage he takes for a time, so no, Marco can't actually take Akainu's attacks, he can only heal through them. Among the second in commands, he's tied for the weakest physical stats with Kat, who doesn't have a mythical Zoan, and he's had no good haki feats, despite having the most screen time.
