- Hey everyone! Thank you so much for stopping by the Yarn Curator Knitting and Spinning podcast! Today I am joined by my sister, Zoe aka Felicity Yarn Studio, as we show off all the pretty skeins purchased at the South Eastern Animal and Fiber Fair in Fletcher, NC. Nestled in the mountains just outside of Asheville, NC, SAFF is a three day fair full of knitting, spinning, fiber, friends, and our favorite furry, fiber producing animals. Great purchases! I love it when you two get together. My sisters and I couldn’t be farther apart (in distance), NY, St. Louis, and California.
I don’t quite understand the tubing you bought. If you put it on the end of your needle, how do the stitches slide onto it? It must be really thin. ? What’s it called to find it online?

So... what's the deal with those gotta have cable thingies? From Yarn Byrd's? How do they work?
Lol! It’s more a convenience thing than anything. And being excited to finally find them. If you usually use an extra set of needles to put stitches on hold, to try on your sweater or maybe see how big a shawl is, then these make it just a bit easier than sitting and transferring stitch by stitch. You attach the wire to the tip of your needle (it’ll stick to the tip) and pull the stitches onto the wire while pulling out the needle. You transfer the stitches back onto the needle in the same fashion.

I’ve seen them called “knitting wire” on Hobbii and “Flexible stitch holders” in a UK shop.
