Peter llevo el cuerpo de Norman a su casa, posiblemente le contó todo a Bernard ya que el limpió sus heridas, y nunca dijeron nada a Harry porque la última voluntad de Norman fue "que no se entere Harry"
That’s thanks to Danny Elfman’s top notch score. Between Danny Elfman on the first Spiderman trilogy and Alan Silvestri for most of Avengers and John Ottman for most of X-Men films, those 3 have had great scores with those composers.
1:34 I like the symbolism of this scene. By removing the spider web, Harry discovers the terrible secret of his father. The secret that his friend Peter, the Spider-Man, tried so hard to hide.
Some people think it's the spirit of the goblin, some think it's Norman, some think one of the performance enhancers leaked. Personally I think it's simply the Osborn curse i.e. madness. Harry is mad, just like his father. The formula didn't create the Goblin, it just brought out what had always been inside Norman. That ruthless drive to succeed allowed Norman to build Oscorp into the success it was. He took risks he probably shouldn't have but more often than not it paid off and kept the psychotic part of him mostly in check. The act of choosing to test the unstable serum on himself is evidence of him being right on the edge of being unhinged. The Goblin was always there. Harry meanwhile is constantly failing, constantly losing. The more he fails, the more he loses, the more the madness takes him. While Norman's ruthlessness "fed" the Goblin and kept that part of him under control, the Goblin inside Harry starved. Harry blames Spider-Man for his father's death but is entirely impotent in terms of trying to do anything about it. When he hits Peter at the party, you start to see signs of the Goblin emerging and then at the end, when he discovers that Peter is Spider-Man, his failure is complete and he has a full on mental breakdown. Norman "unlocks" the Goblin thanks to the formula but Harry is so utterly defeated, so completely broken that the Goblin is able to emerge without the formula. The Osborn madness, passed down from father to son.
I like that idea, like the serum was always meant to be a physical enhancer, and Norman having the side effect of going insane is because he was on the verge of it himself. The serum didn't "cause" it, just jumped his mental state further on the path it was already on. Also it explains why Harry never had his own Goblin persona (he definitely wasn't alright mentally but nowhere near borderline insane as his dad).
@@nicotipro2 The Goblin Serum was probably just as effective as the Super Soldier Serum after all. I don't know about how these experiments over these serums undergo but all I know is that it will always fall into the wrong hands.
@@mudkipzuzu Do you remember what Erskine told Steve? "There were other effects. The serum was not ready. But more importantly, the man. The serum amplifies everything that is inside. So, good becomes great. Bad becomes worse. " It's not the same formula of course but I do think all superhuman enhancers works quite similarly in the multiverse.

That’s not true because this isn’t an end credits film…but using that logic the beginning of the end credits scene phase would belong to X2 from 2003, which hinted at Jean Grey/Phoenix. This was in 2004. The true end credit scene starting pint belongs to X-Men Last Stand 2006. Yes. Harry didn't realise until the climax of the third film that his father died by his own hand. It wasn't spiderman's fault at all. His father turned evil 😈& accidentally killed himself.
I was saying the same thing! I mean, did he miss the parts in the first movie where the Goblin kills innocent people and tried to kill a bunch of kids? I'd have been like, "Wow, maybe he deserved to die. I should apologize to Peter."
he should have guessed that if his father was a villian then he must have tried to kill Peter first and if Peter is spider man he would never kill Norman
Honestly, it's a little bit of Raimi forcing this rivalry. The only explanation is Harry being in complete denial that his father was a bad person. This is someone who's attention he's been trying to get since he was a kid, his idol, and he's finally gone. Some kids never "grow up" and see the flaws in their parents, and his vengeance towards spider man is his way of proving himself a worthy son
Is that y norman doesn't show his "good" side here? Norman genuinely loved Peter & Harry. He was so guilty 😔of trying to kill Peter after discovering that he is spiderman.
Imagine a post credit scene like this in Spider-Man no way home but instead we see Norman building the goblin suit and knowing that Spider-Man is Peter even after whatever is done to wipe people's memory. With the spectre of the goblin theme as well. That'd be amazing

Man, I remember as a kid, wondering what will Harry do next in 3. Now as an adult, I’m upset that they had to cut New Goblin concept short because of the unnecessary addition of Venom in 3.
Harry was quite wasted as an antagonist in Spider-Man 3 he deserved to be the main villain, his plot with Peter and Norman was the one that developed the most in the entire trilogy, he had all the potential to be equal to or even more ruthless than his own father, the I really remember that when I saw the scene where Harry finds his father's lair in Spider-Man 2 when I was a child I saw myself in a third part where Harry would make life impossible for Peter turned into the Hobgoblin and ending with a fight full of emotion as was the fight between Anakin and Obi Wan in Revenge of the Sith where their friendship is completely destroyed. The truth Spiderman 3 had the potential to be the best of the trilogy but unfortunately Sony won the money and we had what we had.
@@martinayala5073 they should saved venom in spiderman 4 then spiderman 3 should focus on black suit and new goblin and sandman storyline. and eddie brock transformation should be last scene in sm3 Harry was supposed to be villain in early movie but when he realized the truth about his father he forgives peter like actual movie
Norman's ghost says to Harry: "You were always weak and you will always be weak until you take control!" and later Peter says to Harry (about his father): "He despised you. You were an embarrassment to him" - and Peter was not wrong (even though he only said it because of Venom's black suit), even dead Norman was still despising his son.
I heard someone say this before, I can't seem to find the comment but it was something like this: The movie should have ended when Harry saw Norman and he said: "I'm Here". It would have trolled the audiences and been a great cliffhanger. And maybe the rest of the scrne would after the credits, or the beginning of Spider-Man 3.
Sad Franco did what he did. I am 100% sure he would've been asked to come back for No Way Home. Having Norman be sad for what his some became but also the Goblin manipulate Harry's love for his father would've been awesome storytelling. Not to mention Tobeys Peter seeing Harry years after Venom killed him.
I really always thought Harry should have donned his father's armor in _Spider-Man 3_ . Like, New Goblin was cool and all, but IMO, having Harry come back wearing the Green Goblin's armor would have been 10 times scarier.

Baffling since you would think he would try to talk to Peter to ask him what happened?
I like that. Harry finds out the truth about his father, that he was the Green 💚 Goblin. The same monster that attacked the city at the world unity festival in the first film.
What he means is that Harry just found out his father was the green goblin you know a murdering psychopath and that if spiderman killed him it was likely for that reason. Harry should have realized this… it’s baffling to me that he never tries to talk to Peter about this…

Harry: "NOOOO" Harry: "Oh damn my dad was the Green Goblin, the guy who terrorized New York, murdered tons of people, tried to murder many more, tried to murder children and my ex girlfriend, and almost murdered me.... you know what Dad, you're right, maybe I will avenge you"
This scene, man. Such an incredible setup that is still thrilling and scary and perfect, and look how they bungled it in SM3. We really should have gotten a proper Green Goblin II. Additionally, I feel that Dafoe in this scene is peak Norman Osborn. I love his portrayal of Osborn/Goblin to death like any of us, but the comic purist in me does find him somewhat likeable as Norman vs how he’s often depicted in the material-a hard, Type A asshole from the start. That’s obviously on the films and not on Dafoe, and goddamn, does it ever work in these movies, but in this scene right here, this is where I feel like I’m reading the comics onscreen. Dafoe is a legend.
Out of everything I remember from Spider-Man 2, it's this scene. Saw this when I was 8 years old, when Norman showed up in the mirror, my mother saw him and jumped with joy. She told me to close my eyes, then she put a toy in my hand. Mom told me to open my eyes, and in my hands was a toy model of the character Gill from the Disney-Pixar movie Finding Nemo. I recognized Willem Dafoe's voice as Gill. God Gill was my favourite in Finding Nemo. Every time I watch this scene I just have great memories even though it's quite the scene.
In the novel, when the mirror broke, the Goblin mask and lair were right in front of Harry. When he walked in and saw all the equipment, the combination of MJ leaving him, his father's death, Peter's apparent betrayal of him by killing his father, and realizing that his father was a supervillain terrorist was enough to shatter Harry's mind like the mirror he had just broken. He then picked up the Goblin mask looking into its eyes and began to laugh a very familiar laugh.
No doubt it was hard for Harry when his mother died. I watched the first film & wondered y Harry wasn't too happy on his way into school when his dad drove him there. He wasn't ashamed of himself. He was just upset since he lost his mother.

James Franco and Willem Dafoe make a really convincing estranged father-son duo who love each other but have no connection. It's great stuff.
yeah
True.
I really want them to play another father-son duo again.
@@mudkipzuzu yeah dad was a crazy one ,son was a vengeful one hehehe

The Goblin Serum was probably just as effective as the Super Soldier Serum after all.
It's not the same formula of course but I do think all superhuman enhancers works quite similarly in the multiverse.

It isn't but it clearly gives off the vibes of what end-credit scenes are: previews of the sequels
That was the first superhero movie to start the end credits scene requirement that all superhero movies do now.

Are you saved? If you died tonight would you go to heaven or hell?
The Gospel, which means the Good News is the news that God Almighty, the Creator came in the flesh as Jesus Christ to take away the sin of the world. The one God is a trinity of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. The Son came and laid down his own life to save ours. His sacrifice on the cross paid the price for our redemption with his own blood. On the third day he rose from dead and offers the gift of salvation and forgiveness to those that repent and trust in him. Although God's creation was created perfect, having no death, sickness and disease, the creation became corrupted through Adam and Eve in them disobeying God. In this rebellion the creation became fallen through the curse of sin and mankind became separated from God. This world is fallen, but God offers reconciliation to him through his provision at the cross. Ultimately God will restore his creation to perfection when he returns but those that who reject his offer of redemption will remain condemned by their sins and go to hell.

Harry and Peter's friendship is everything
Yes. Harry didn't realise until the climax of the third film that his father died by his own hand. It wasn't spiderman's fault at all. His father turned evil 😈& accidentally killed himself.
1:42 still jump-scares me after a decade
Hiw
Why does this scene give me chills🥶
Because Harry finds out his dad was the Green Goblin before his father's death
So if Harry finds out his father was the Goblin, wouldn’t the thought of ‘my father wasn’t innocent’ cross his mind once at all?
Watch the films my guy
Yeah was still his father and he probably loved him too much
i like how the green goblin sees Harry as his own son, sure he uses him as a tool but also wants his son to stop being weak
if the movie came out today, this would no doubt be an after credits scene.

Harry was supposed to be villain in early movie but when he realized the truth about his father he forgives peter like actual movie
In the modern day this would be a great post credits scene
I heard someone say this before, I can't seem to find the comment but it was something like this: The movie should have ended when Harry saw Norman and he said: "I'm Here". It would have trolled the audiences and been a great cliffhanger. And maybe the rest of the scrne would after the credits, or the beginning of Spider-Man 3.

I like that Harry throwing the knife at the window was a way of trying to resist the Goblin.
Norman: "You swore to make Spider-Man pay? Now make him pay"
Harry: "But Pete's my friend"
Norman: "AVENGE MEEE!!!"
Harry: "NOOOO"
Harry: "Oh damn my dad was the Green Goblin, the guy who terrorized New York, murdered tons of people, tried to murder many more, tried to murder children and my ex girlfriend, and almost murdered me.... you know what Dad, you're right, maybe I will avenge you"
He was already somehow being corrupted by the goblin.
Ah yes when end credit scenes were part of the main movie lol
The truth of today's movies unfortunately
Out of everything I remember from Spider-Man 2, it's this scene. Saw this when I was 8 years old, when Norman showed up in the mirror, my mother saw him and jumped with joy. She told me to close my eyes, then she put a toy in my hand. Mom told me to open my eyes, and in my hands was a toy model of the character Gill from the Disney-Pixar movie Finding Nemo. I recognized Willem Dafoe's voice as Gill. God Gill was my favourite in Finding Nemo. Every time I watch this scene I just have great memories even though it's quite the scene.
Wholesome
2:11 it’s cool seeing Harry see his fathers creation
In the novel, when the mirror broke, the Goblin mask and lair were right in front of Harry. When he walked in and saw all the equipment, the combination of MJ leaving him, his father's death, Peter's apparent betrayal of him by killing his father, and realizing that his father was a supervillain terrorist was enough to shatter Harry's mind like the mirror he had just broken. He then picked up the Goblin mask looking into its eyes and began to laugh a very familiar laugh.
0:42 The woman with the black dress in the painting is Norman's wife and Harry's mother.
No doubt it was hard for Harry when his mother died. I watched the first film & wondered y Harry wasn't too happy on his way into school when his dad drove him there. He wasn't ashamed of himself. He was just upset since he lost his mother.
I LOVED Harry's Glider in the 3rd film. That was SO COOL!!!!! I wish that I had one of those in real life.
