Sophie spoke about Tony testing his suit.......if you pay attention to Tony's suits evolution he never gets beat the same way twice, he always improves his designs.
He also refuses to steal other genius inventors ideas to further enhance his suit, it’s mainly why he won’t build his suit out of anything like vibranium or adamantium in the comics unless he absolutely needs it or it’s given to him to use temporarily
0:06 Speaking on the "Avengers Universe" this film actually featured an alternate Nick Fury scene. In the scene right before Fury turns around to face Tony he says "As if Gamma Accidents, Radioactive bug bites, assorted Mutants were enough. I have to deal with a spoiled brat who doesnt play well with others and wants to keep all his toys to himself". Gamma Accidents being a a reference to The Hulk who's movie is next but the other two mentions are the most important ones. Radioactive bug bites is a reference to Spider-Man who in the comics was bitten by a Radioactive spider or a genetically modified one like seen in the Spider-Man (2002) you watched. And Mutants is of course a reference to The X-Men, yet to watch X-Men but you both watched the two Deadpool movies. In the comics all these teams and characters exist together within the same universe. Avengers, X-Men, Fantastic Four, Spider-Man, Deadpool, iron Man etc. Why was this scene removed? Well Sony owned the movie rights to Spider-Man so I don't think Marvel wanted to deal with any legal issues or give people false hope in that Spider-Man will one day be introduced into the MCU. Better to not set something up than never have it come true down the line. Same with the X-Men who during this time were owned by Fox. The term Mutant was simply a word they couldn't mention in the MCU as that was apart of the Fox/Marvel agreement. This is also why the X-Men, Avengers, Fantastic Four have never crossed over for legal reasons. Spider-Man was brought into the MCU so that's why you'll see Spider-Man films that are set in the MCU. Sony and Marvel were able to come to an agreement for them to work together on MCU Spider-Man movies. As of 2019 Disney/Marvel now own the rights to X-Men and Fantastic Four so they're able to finally introduce them into the MCU it's just a matter of how and when. Difficult to introduce two important teams along with millions of Mutants when they've never shown up throughout the universe.
You guys HAVE to watch Agents of Shield, it’s such an underrated show and a lot of it connects to the early marvel movies at least up until phase 3. Agent Coulson is the start of the show and it’s an amazing cast around him!
Glad you're getting all of these details with a fresh perspective. And, every time I watch the end, I relive how happy I was when he announced he was Iron Man, and then when Nick Fury shows up and mentions the Avengers Initiative. No one really knew where this was going, and that really declared the franchise. After so many attempts at other movie franchises (Fantastic Four, X-Men, the Ang Lee Hulk) not catching the excitement of non-comic viewers, here was something that everyone loved, was a great movie in its own right, and was clearly set up to lead to, at least, an Avengers movie. But, if nothing else, we got a great movie about Iron Man, who was my favorite solo Marvel hero. 😊
The delay on the rocket Iron Man fires at the tank is intentional. A lot of modern tanks have reactive armor system that is supposed to mitigate explosive projectiles. Putting the delay on the explosion allowed him to circumvent this system. I am not sure if this would actually work in the real world, but the idea is plausible.
Thank you for the video. I love this movie. The Mark I Iron Man suit is my all time favorite. BTW, Jon Favreau (the actor portraying Tony's Bodyguard) is an incredible story himself with Iron Man and Mandalorian credits.
The scene where he switches out the arc reactor was all done with a prosthetic chest over top of his real body so she was digging around in a dummy while he was sitting under the table they had that prosthetic laying on, they did I really good job of making it look like his actual body though
15:20 " How does he get so much power?" All his movement are due to hydraulic joints. Just like a crane arm moves. The file that he uploaded from his computer to his suit links his superficial nerves to the suit so that when he tend to do something, the suit does the same. So its not like he is carrying the entire suit, the suit moves with him.
I saw this in theater with family, having grown up and X-men comic girl and "liked" Iron Man, so I was feeling pretty good about the movie. RIGHT up to 22:18 that's when I knew they'd genuinely snatched ahold of something special. I'm not desperately happy with how comedic and silly Marvel's gotten over the years, but this and the "WRITE THAT DOWN." from Howard in the first Captain America after the Tesseract got probed and didn't like it has always been a special sort of silly to me as a scientist. You guys are tight, gonna subscribe and thanks for letting us sit with you as you go through this journey again or for first times or whatever, just happy to be with you. Thanks again.
Let the MCU journey begin. Iron Man 1 is a really good movie and one of Robert Downey Jr’s most iconic characters as Tony Stark aka “Iron Man”. The rest of the cast was great including Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper, Terrance Howard as Rhodes, Jon Favreau as Happy and Jeff Bridges as Obadiah Stane. Looking forward to taking this MCU journey with you guys. Have a great one y’all.
There's enough depth and detail to most of the MCU movies, up to Endgame, that it's worth a sequential rewatch. And Endgame, as you probably know, is a proper resolution.
Spider-Man and Daredevil are kind of the only super heroes that have secret identities in the modern Marvel universe. There might be a couple more, but they are not well known. So, it's not just Iron Man. People know who Bruce Banner is. They know who Steve Rogers is. They know Natasha Romanoff and Clint Barton are trained assassins. Stan Lee was a huge fan of DC when he was younger, but there were certain things that annoyed him. The secret identities was one of them. Steve Ditko was more traditional in that aspect and was able to push for some to have secret identities. He eventually went to go work for DC, because his ideas were more inline with what DC was doing.
Yo, fans love rewatches as well, like you've never binged them before: that's reason enough. Make note of things you didn't noticed first time around, that's fun.
YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Im a HUGE MCU fan since the beginning and I love that you guys are watching the movies for us to react to. I DO NOT CARE IF YOU GUYS HAVE ALREADY SEEN SOME of the movies, im here for your reactions to some of the movies I love. Also, prepare for these "EM-SHE-YOU" dbags who will eventually show up on your reaction videos, crying about how bad it is now - please dont let them fckboys get you guys down and I hope you guys go through every MCU project.
IM NOT GONE LIE!!!!! I can’t wait for y’all to finally react to spider-man NO WAY HOME!!!!!! Even if y’all already seen that film, it’s gone hit even HARDER!!!! Because y’all reacted to, the man of legend, to the GOAT!!!!!! Tobey maguire 🐐
Much respect to you guys for being honest. I have unsubscribed and stopped watching channels after realizing they put "first time watching" to click bait and provide fake exaggerated reactions, which I find insulting to the viewers.Because you are honest, I just subscribed, watched this reaction and will go through and watch your other reactions.
You said something about not talking about what you know from other films you have seen. Ain't nobody watching your vids that hasn't seen these movies so you aren't being spoilers, I think, anyway. But let's not us out here be spoilers for you. Enjoy The Incredible Hulk.
FYI please don't waste viewers' time, please title your MCU reactions as "REWATCH " instead of "REACTION", otherwise it's just misleading (but you knew that).
No it's not. It's for them to react. Next time just dipset without saying anything. What's the point of expending your energy and opening yourself to a public forum to just be dogpiled on? Were you hoping the majority of their viewers would believe the same thing and validate your opinion enough that these reactors would change their entire plan to conform with your wishes? Do you not have any self awareness?
They have already reacted to it. They will be indifferent to what happens on a 2nd viewing. Glad i could wake you two to the realities of life. This is my comment, and i have eternity, so i won't be leaving. Would love to see you two both at the same time, come to Duluth, MN and make this 6'6" guy try. 😘

Phase 1 had an intimacy to the comic fans while also making it respectable to the general audience.
"Don´t waste your life" That single line saved the universe.

30:44 "That was a lot of damage"
And a lot of accuracy. Imagine how small tony's armor was in the cross hair haha
Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark) say: I hate that helmet in movie!
Tropic Thunder and Iron Man both came out in 2008

There are so many small details, an object or a line in a movies that come back down the journey, some are even way down the line.
