You guys owe it to yourselves to be entertained and moved by this Tobey Maguire franchise. He really delivers in his acting. I grew up with him as my Spider-Man. So you can imagine how emotional it was to see him don the suit again for No Way Home
Tobey was the most Gritty, Raw and Realistic Andrew was the most Quippy, Aerobatic, and Stylistic with the combat Tom was the most kiddy, and MCU based. Toms could have been so much better if they had better writers who actually understood what makes Spider-Man, Spider-Man.
Amazingly, when he caught all the items that fell on the school dinner tray, he actually did it! It took loads of takes but there was no trickery or CGI !
This is still my favorite Spider-Man. It captures the true essence of those original comics. It's not about plot as much as the characters and their lives. More like a soap opera than a save-the-world Hollywood blockbuster. And yet it was a blockbuster.

The whole cast is great and for some of the actors this film was their biggest film, for actors such as James Franco etc. JK Simmons as “J Jonah Jameson” is one of my favorite characters in the entire trilogy as I adore his comedy, the way he talks and his sense of humor😂😂👍. It’s very realistic, raw and relatable. The music/score was great. Willem Dafoe is such a brilliant actor as he as great in this movie as Norman Osborn aka “The Green Goblin”, as I loved that mirror scene of his where he sees his reflection and talks to his dark side as it was so well shot. The Sam Raimi Spider-Man trilogy is so amazing, iconic and nostalgic as it brings back so many memories, and I hope you react to all of it. My name being Peter, wearing glasses with dark brown hair and having the same initials growing up going to elementary school when these came out still feels pretty cool to myself and for that reason is why Spider-Man will always be my all time favourite superhero. Not to mention I also got into photography as a hobby throughout my teenage years and still doing it today at age 28.
I was 16 in 2002 when i first watched it, a lot of younger people think the newer spiderman movies are better but i disagree cause i still believe that Tobey made the best spiderman.
Goblin serum enhanced his mental capacity, strength, stamina, speed and agility at the cost of Madness. In the comics They were trying to recreate the the same serum that made Captain America but wasn't quite there, Norman went mad and kept the secret formula to himself.
Later on Hobgoblin finds the green goblins secret lair a few years after the Norman died and thinks Norman was crazy cause for everything he was doing as the goblin he could have just become rich selling the stuff, but Hobgoblin realized that Norman was right and he was better of being the only one with the power and gadgets so he too kept it to himself.
Im SO glad you guys didnt discredit this version of Mary Jane. Her character is more important than one may think. You did a great job picking up on the details of her character!

I think the reason why this Spider-man gains fans and withstands the test of time so well is because it almost kinda sets Spider-man up as a... mythical figure? In a way? Maybe a folkloric one? The over-the-top moments, the way they - like you guys were saying - made even mundane things seem so dramatic, how epic the struggle between good and evil are in both Peter and Norman, the perfect wisdom of Uncle Ben and Aunt May, the pedestal Peter places MJ on... Raimi does a great job of making this Spider-man's story seem larger than life in every way. The characters all behave like they're part of a mythology. Its very interesting. And its why I hate to say Macguire's is the best one. THIS trilogy is trying to tell his story very differently than Holland's or Garfield's. Those Spider-man stories try their hardest to make Peter feel like a grounded character; a real person. I think all three of them accomplish what they're trying to _do_ with the character very well.

The only thing that Tom has that’s more accurate is the fact that he was with the avengers when he was young. But Spider-Man actually did sign up for a fight to win money in the old comic books. His aunt May and uncle Ben are actually supposed to be old and not a milf and an absent uncle in Tom’s universe 😑. And the way goblin died in this movie is the same way he died in the comic. But Andrew gets the edge in that situation because Spider-Man was supposed to be with Gwen Stacy first and not Mary Jane. And if they would’ve did to Mj what they did to Gwen in Tobey’s movies, it would’ve been way too dark. Cause how Gwen died is actually how she died in the comic. He tried to catch her and she slammed her shit on the ground. Imagine they did that to mj in this movie. People would’ve been pissed cause it’s the wrong chick that’s supposed to die. In the comic, the goblin (Norman) died right after he killed Gwen.
