Great Video! Just an FYI, this mash bill is the same as the Elijah Craig mashbill - 78% corn, 12% malted Barley, and 10% rye. Some are saying this can be considered a cask strength version of their annual 18 year old Elijah Craig bourbon. It is also the exact same mashbill as the Heaven Hill 17 year that was released in 2022. Cheers!

Something around 12% malted barley is required if you do not wish to add enzymes for fermentation. High barley bourbons include Chattanooga and Starlight. I can really taste the barley in those. Anything 8-14%, though, tastes fairly standard to me. Limestone is definitely NOT acidic - quite the opposite, limestone filtered water is alkaline with high calcium.

Luckily, I’ve never been a fan of 15+ year aged bourbon, so I can save some money on this one. 9-12 years in the barrel seems to be the range for me.

While not able to enjoy offerings at this price point currently I really enjoyed listening to your comments and respect for this release. I was a little concerned at the beginning with the toilet seat comment. Respect for a product and distillery offering an 18 Year release is important in this arena. I think that a product of this type also deserves to be tasted by those seasoned enough to enjoy what it offers. Time (Age) & Respect are important and expected in my opinion with this type of release. It's not very likely to be low quality product even if not everyone's preferred experience. My thoughts... Thank you again for sharing your experience.

Mellow Corn is good, Baby Blue is very good, and True Blue is fantastic. What corn whisky needs is a climate that provides a huge amount of interaction with the barrel, and Waco provides it. Baby Blue is only a year old, but it looks and drinks like a bourbon.

I took a chance and got Baby Blue, and you've read my opinion of it, which more or less aligned with "my" reviewers who warned me about it. It's fine, but nothing special, something I conclude is inherent in corn whiskey. You obviously disagree. If you have enough money to buy every single bottle of whiskey to determine what yer palate thinks of it, knock yourself out.
