As a full overquilt/underquilt (as shown) you might not have a solid space for a diagonal lay, but if used as just an underquilt you should still get a diagonal lay no problem.

Does the replace the need for a sleeping bag in a hammock?
Immediately became my go to "sleeping bag". Extemely versatile and I was surprised how compact it is for the price!
